Netodin wont show ID on the computer screen - Samsung Gear S3

Hi,
I somehow figured that because of firewall, i kept failing on my connection every time. But now that the gear shows open the netodin software and also the wifi is connected, the id on the pc screen wont show. Also the start button wont work. Finally on the log data, it says success 0 failed 0.
Any idea?

What your are trying to achieve?
Model Name... Firmware update downgrade? Repair?
3.
At home I have problems with my Standard PCs...
So I am using old Notebook with Hardware WiFi... on old Windows Vista...
And here I have mandatory to disable "something"...
With other Notebook... """modern""" and Win 8.1
It is very easy...
IMHO if you can try other PC or Notebook before you kill your whole network security settings...
Best Regards

Blackjack 2 hung during upgrade

I was recently upgrading my Blackjack 2 to WM 6.1 and a power interruption occurred soon after the process begun. Now I cant get the phone to restart the process. It just goes into a count down from 4 and always disconnects after the countdown finishes. This is the what I get now at the end of the countdown while I in Bootloader mode.
USB Initial: OK
PC Connection: Fail
[Phone] Active OFF
[PDA] USB Cable Power OFF
I am using a windows Vista computer. Can anyone tell me how to get the upgrade process restarted or how to get the phone back to wm6. I already formatted the phone's hard drive after the failure during the upgrade process.

Thank You The fix worked.
Do you have any idea how to keep the internet connection between my Blackjack 2 and vista pc active. I get the my vista pc to use the blackjack 2 as a modem via the usb cable for about about an hour then it disconnects and I have hell trying to get the connection re-established.
I dont have this problem with bluetooth which is much slower than the usb cable connection

Run Internet Explorer --> Menu --> Tools --> Options --> Connection --> check Automatically detect setting. Done.
problem still exist
no the problem still exist. It has something to do with NDIS or DHCP lease obtain and lease expire. The usb ICS works fine when I connect before the lease expires. After the lease expires the physical and IP addresses do not immediately renew as is the case with bluetooth. This causes me to not be able to use the Blackjack ICS via the usb cable for some time. Then it renews after several computer and phone restarts. I dont know if the problem is with Activesync. But my bluetooth does not use Activesync and it has its own software which is stable. I am always able to use ICS via bluetooth but not the usb which uses Activesync. Are there any tweaks or connection managers for ICS via USB?

Thank you SO MUCH
nhathoa, I would just like to thank you for the link you provided. I was stuck for about two hours trying to figure this out, and Samsung was telling me that I had to send my phone in, and seeing as how it's the only phone I have, I would have been without one for a while.
But the link you gave fixed the problem perfectly. I can't thank you enough.
I just have to say a million thanks to NhatHoa!
had the same concern as described above. As BlackJack2 is not an European model, my local Samsung workshop couldn´t help me. Also other unofficial workshops couldn´t do it. And I´ve found these instructions here and I thought, what the heck! There´s nothinh to lose anymore. And my BJ works now! Followed exactly the instructions and it took like some 15 minutes to complete the whole process.
Hate to bump old threads
I hate to bump a old thread but I just had the same problem with my blackjack 2, While updating to 6.1 it somehow just quit and left the phone bricked. I can put the phone in usb downloader mode but when I connect it to my computer it does nothing.
Can someone please send me the file that was posted on a earlier post? I tried to download it and it was gone.
I dont have any warranty left and would really like to get my phone working again
Thanks

[Q] Kies via Wi-Fi (not Kies Air)

Sorry... maybe a stupid question... (I've searched the net and XDA before posting it, but didn't find any valid solution, just some trace of this same problem referred to other Samsung devices)
The question is:
How can I make the option "Kies via Wi-Fi - Connect to Kies via Wi-Fi" work?
I've downloaded the last version of Kies from Samsung support and installed it on my Win7 PC. I also followed the "Wi-Fi Connection Setup Guide".
I start Kies on the PC and press the "Kies via Wi-Fi button on the GNote but my PC doesn't recognize my Note 10.1 and the scanning on the GNote gives no result.
When, in the GNote, I go to Settings-More settings-Kies via Wi-Fi I just get an Attention message ("Please use caution when transmitting information on an unsecured Wi-Fi network...."). I click OK, then there's a second message window on the bottom of which for a couple of seconds there's a Scan button that, when pressed, quickly changes to a Cancel button. After a while the Scan button reappears and, when pressed, is again changed on the Cancel button.
I can't make any headway from this stupid loop
In the meantime the Kies window on the PC shows the message "Please connect a device".
I'm not interested on Kies Air (that I think is another thing).
I just would like to quickly access my GNote from the PC (and maybe transfer some small file) without having to connect it with the USB cable (no problem with the USB cable connection: the GNote is recognized and I can access it).
The Note is usually connected to a Wi-Fi router on my PC, that is connected to Internet (that's how I can access the Internet at home with the GNote).
Probably I'm missing some setting? Or is Kies not working with this option? Anyone has successfully used this kind of connection?
Any link, advice, possible solution?
Thanks
Could be a Win7 problem: maybe connection is simply rejected since You can´t register and assign an Android device to a "home-network-group" which would allow every connection.
On my laptop I have an Intel-App called "MyWiFi" thus creating a peer-to-peer connection with Android devices. With this I don´t have problems to connect, BUT: when connected via MyWiFi I have to switch off the WiFi of my router otherwise GNote does not connect to MyWiFi .............
Better use the cable .......
Samsung Kies and MyPhoneExplorer

Thanks troed.
I see that my problem (with win7) is one of those of difficult solution (I had nightmares in the past to configure my Wi-Fi network and make it work).
In the meantime (following the tip received in an italian forum) I've found an other app, called MyPhoneExplorer, that works exactly as I intended.
It's not just for Samsung devices but for any Android device.
It consists of a client app to be installed on the tablet (small size: 564 Kb)
and a program to be installed on the PC (installer is 6.45 Mb and the portable program folder is about 17 Mb).
With this app files can be easily exchanged between the PC and the GNote through Wi-Fi.
BTW Samsung Kies installer (90.5 Mb) is huge comparing to that and, at least for me and for many other Win7 users, doesn't work on Wi-Fi in spite of what is promised and advertised.
For the second time I can't understand why a big company like Samsung can't produce a simple good and working app whilst single developers can easily do that!
(the first case is with S Note that, IMHO, is lacking some essential feature that other apps have and that prevents me form using it as my primary note taking app)
Maybe Samsung's developers don't use their company's devices?
Or maybe they have no interest in producing good working apps and prefer to put out incomplete ones to better sell their next line of products?

[Q] Cant get Smart Switch to connect for backup. Help?

Hello, so I am on XtreStoLite 2.4 with my S6. Never any issues the whole time Ive ran it. However now that I have my Galaxy S8 which cant be rooted... trying to get the Smart Switch with USB connection to work.
It will NOT read up when I connect them directly, also will not connect via PC for smart switch to start its thing. (Smart Switch via wifi works, but that doesnt transfer any of my non play store apps)
Now I did try Smart switch on 2 different PCs. Both PCs DO read my S6 and I could transfer files just fine with explorer. So drivers and so are working fine. Even tried 3 USB cables and togged between usb debugging and off. I am in MTP mode as well.
Even in Smart Switch it will say "Connecting" because it detected the phone. Just never gets past that on the PC or the Galaxy S8. Just says the connection timed out and couldnt connect.
So just checking here if anyone may have any insight that may solve this. Thanks.

Just "fixed" it by upgrading the to the Marshmallow version of XtreStolite. Seems it solved all the issues.

S3 GEAR connection fail on download mode

Hello guys,
I will really appreciate if somebody could help me.
I bought a samsung gear s3 R760 frontier from a marketplace like craiglist but the owner forgot to delete from his samsung account and I cannot contact him. When I am trying to start the watch I get the reactivation lock error.
Ok... I read about this and I could rewrite a firmware with netodin.
I tried to connect the smartwatch to my laptop via download wireless mode. When I am trying to connect from my laptop ( windows 10) I am getting an error: connection fail: connection timed out (110) but I tried also with an iphone and macbook and it worked ( I didn;t got that error)...
I am blocked because I cannot use netodin on macbook and I tried with almost 5 different pcs and I got same error. I uninstalled antivirus, turned off firewall but I don't know why I still get that error.
Please help
Bring it to samsung centre with the receipt or proof of purchase from Craigslist
Sent from my SM-N950F using Tapatalk
I tried but they don't want to unlock it.
Any advices about how I can fix that error? If I could connect the s3 to my laptop it will be great because I will could rewrite a firmware with netodin.

Question Bluetooth cannot be turned on. It cannot be initialized after reset...

I have a 42mm Galaxy Watch 4 Classic LTE, French Version, bought from amazon.fr.
After a flight mode (maybe it has nothing to do with the flight mode), my watch 4 always prompts that I can't connect to the mobile phone (or can only connect remotely through LTE). I tried to manually turn on Bluetooth in the setting menu but failed. So I reset the watch, but because Bluetooth can't work, I can't pair and initialize the watch...
I guess there may be something wrong with its hardware. Is there any other way to confirm it?
Tks.
If the BT doesn't turn on even after reset, then it's a hardware issue.
Are you on your models lastest version update? Otherwise could very well be hardware....
