Unlocked sprint s8 plus not working properly - Samsung Galaxy S8+ Questions & Answers

Hi All,
I have bought sprint s8 plus and unlocked it by using one of the unlock service provider from ebay to be used in India with Airtel network. But now, I am getting the below issues:
1) If I selected the Network Mode as (LTE/3G/2G) (autoconnect) then I am not able to make and receive calls but internet(LTE) is working fine if I enable the Mobile Data.
2) If Network Mode is 3G/2G (autoconnect) or 3G only then I am not able to register to the network (Airtel).
3) In 2G only mode, I am able to make and receive calls and data service is Edge only.
As per the Phone Info app:
Firmware's CSC code: XAA
Active CSC code: XAA
Available CSC Codes: ACG, AIO, ATT, BST, GCF, LRA, SPR, TFN, TMB, TMK, USC,VMU, VZW, XAA, XAS
Bootloader version: G955U1UES5CRL2
CSC Version: G955U1OYM5CRL2
Baseband Version: G955U1UES5CRL2
Is this possible to fix the above issues by flashing the different firmware and change the CSC codes etc?
Thank You.

SERVICE MODE (and Band Selection) for SM-G920F, how to???

I have an International SM-G920F but I can't open SERVICE MODE like I did with S4, Note 4, S5...
(dial *#0011*, menu->back, menu->insert key, type Q0000 and press enter)
And other codes found online don't work.
Does anyone know how to open SERVICE MODE ?
I need it for BAND SELECTION and other stuff...
Thank you for Help
AOCV fw was the last one that I could open the service menu, since then it never opened. I wonder if it's disabled by Samsung in new updates?

I'm wondering if this is the case, since I was able to access it yesterday, but not today. I just received the latest update this morning.
So what happens if, say, someone set their phone to a certain LTE band and they not want to restore that setting to "automatic"?
Look here on you tube

Band selection is *#2263#
But I can't get out to any of the other settings

I can't access this one either. None seem to work for me.
Its based on your firmware CSC probably... Some regions have it and some don't.
Out of the latest versions of FW (AODG & AOE3/4) I've tried: France, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Thailand & Slovenia. None of them allow you to access any service mode menus. Using old FW like AOCV and the service menu works.
Can anyone at all confirm service menu working on AOE3 or AOE4? Try *#0011# in your dialer.

Do you know which file/directory are changed by Service Mode BAND SELECTION?
Because we could go back with OCV firmware, do BAND SELECTION (in example LTE/WCDMA ONLY) and see what files/strings are changed, and then manually change files with latest firmware.

Was your phone originally a UK model?
Nope it's originally from Vodafone Germany and the service menu worked on the original rom too.
Hello, I'm working to fix and restore Service Mode and Band Selection.
I need somebody with SM-G920F and FULL WORKING SERVICE MODE (I mean not only *#0011#, but also BAND SELECTION).
That person, must root his own phone, and send me these files:
- /system/csc/customer.xml
- /system/csc/others.xml
- /system/build.prop
You can send me an email at [email protected].
Let me know ASAP, Thank you all !!!

Do you mean the option in the menu is missing? Check your quick pull down menu to confirm this, is there an icon in that menu?
What icon appears next to your signal strength? Does it say Vo))?

Well it means your phone has not been updated correctly. Oreo for S7 stock has wi fi calling switched on automatically if your network supports it.
You can download the stock firmware yourself then flash via Odin to fix the issue but please check you are looking in the right settings first.

Ok yes, i can see Wi Fi calling (which is the last option) is missing. If the option is missing it means the firmware you have does not support it. So like i said i would flash unbranded firmware so all options are available.

No, flashing stock firmware via Odin does not require Root so warranty will still be valid. Also download and install Samsung Smart Switch to check there is an update to the current firmware on your phone.

You are using 012 mobile? Yes?
That is a virtual network which uses Orange/Partner (PTR)Network, flash PTR firmware for wifi calling to work.
The CSC part of the firmware tells your phone what services are supported on the network you are connecting to and will install those option when flashed.
You can also stay on the current firmware but flash a CSC zip file where you can change the CSC code on the phone for the network you want in your case PTR.

Yes because 012 mobile is using PTR network, an unbranded firmware will contain lots of CSC codes for your region/country and automatically choose the right one when it connects to a network. If the network supports wifi calling it will then have the option on your phone to enable it.
Like i said, the other option is to keep the firmware you have but manually flash a CSC zip file to change the region/country code manually.

Unlocked S10e stuck in Sprint activation

SM-G970U1 fully unlocked version. I accidentally put a Sprint SIM card in, and now it is somehow locked to their network, even when different sim cards are inside.
Tried wiping, resetting, reflashing U firmware for ATT, TMB, tried U1 with multiple different versions. No matter what, the phone now always tries to activate on Sprint (unsuccessfully), the OMADM app is always present.
Sprint says the device has never been registered on their network and isn't locked to their network, and has no idea what to do.
Any ideas?? How does this Sprint junk still linger even after full odin reflashes and wipes?

That means the phone was originally a Sprint phone not a u1. Probably still locked to Sprint. Possibly not even paid off.
