SERVICE MODE (and Band Selection) for SM-G920F, how to??? - Galaxy S6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have an International SM-G920F but I can't open SERVICE MODE like I did with S4, Note 4, S5...
(dial *#0011*, menu->back, menu->insert key, type Q0000 and press enter)
And other codes found online don't work.
Does anyone know how to open SERVICE MODE ?
I need it for BAND SELECTION and other stuff...
Thank you for Help

AOCV fw was the last one that I could open the service menu, since then it never opened. I wonder if it's disabled by Samsung in new updates?

I'm wondering if this is the case, since I was able to access it yesterday, but not today. I just received the latest update this morning.
So what happens if, say, someone set their phone to a certain LTE band and they not want to restore that setting to "automatic"?

Look here on you tube

This is not service mode...
With service mode you can make band selection, advanced network setup, etc
Anyone?

Band selection is *#2263#
But I can't get out to any of the other settings

I can't access this one either. None seem to work for me.

Its based on your firmware CSC probably... Some regions have it and some don't.

Out of the latest versions of FW (AODG & AOE3/4) I've tried: France, United Arab Emirates, Vietnam, Thailand & Slovenia. None of them allow you to access any service mode menus. Using old FW like AOCV and the service menu works.
Can anyone at all confirm service menu working on AOE3 or AOE4? Try *#0011# in your dialer.

Do you know which file/directory are changed by Service Mode BAND SELECTION?
Because we could go back with OCV firmware, do BAND SELECTION (in example LTE/WCDMA ONLY) and see what files/strings are changed, and then manually change files with latest firmware.

I flashed AOE3 France, it didn't work. I just flashed AOE3 United Kingdom and *#0011# menu shows now. But to choose bands etc, I don't know how to do that.

Was your phone originally a UK model?

Nope it's originally from Vodafone Germany and the service menu worked on the original rom too.

Hello, I'm working to fix and restore Service Mode and Band Selection.
I need somebody with SM-G920F and FULL WORKING SERVICE MODE (I mean not only *#0011#, but also BAND SELECTION).
That person, must root his own phone, and send me these files:
- /system/csc/customer.xml
- /system/csc/others.xml
- /system/build.prop
You can send me an email at [email protected].
Let me know ASAP, Thank you all !!!

[Q] This device in germany

Dear all,
i got this phone from a friend (S3 from Verizon, SCH -I535) but I'm leaving in Germany, i thougt it would be enough to Flash a custom Rom to get rid of the sim lock but it Looks like that there are morre technical issues that i know :crying:
So what i find out is that it uses CDMA 1x/EVDO Rev A. instead of GSM/UMTS and that the LTE band is ankother one.
On the other Hand i read about the jellywiz gsm Rom for that device, the outcome is that i'm very confused right now.
My question, is there a Software based way (custo Rom, kernel, modem etc) to make this device working in Germany with a german carrier sim Card?
thnx in advanced
Update the phone to the latest update and you can use it without having to root it
and it will work in Germany using german sim on gsm/umts and LTE??

what firmware you use? I live in south america, but not all have the "spanish" in there.
My phone has only english and (thailand or indian) in settings, but I use Morelocale 2 app to change language to russian. ( i use root to use this app, but without root app works to) My firmware version N915gxxu1dpe3.
UPD: I think this is a Indian firmware. Before, in 5.1.1 i use Australian firmware and in Australian firmware i can select all language in settings, without use Morelocale2 app.
UPD2: Try to reset you phone, and after flash new firmware, i think this will help you. You can find firmware here http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/SM-N915G/
UPD3: I install PhoneInfo app and scan ServiceCodes and if you use code 2263 you find Secret Menu, in this menu you can chose the LTE, GSM, WCDMA bands. try to choose bands that are used in your country

Unlocked sprint s8 plus not working properly

Hi All,
I have bought sprint s8 plus and unlocked it by using one of the unlock service provider from ebay to be used in India with Airtel network. But now, I am getting the below issues:
1) If I selected the Network Mode as (LTE/3G/2G) (autoconnect) then I am not able to make and receive calls but internet(LTE) is working fine if I enable the Mobile Data.
2) If Network Mode is 3G/2G (autoconnect) or 3G only then I am not able to register to the network (Airtel).
3) In 2G only mode, I am able to make and receive calls and data service is Edge only.
As per the Phone Info app:
Firmware's CSC code: XAA
Active CSC code: XAA
Available CSC Codes: ACG, AIO, ATT, BST, GCF, LRA, SPR, TFN, TMB, TMK, USC,VMU, VZW, XAA, XAS
Bootloader version: G955U1UES5CRL2
CSC Version: G955U1OYM5CRL2
Baseband Version: G955U1UES5CRL2
Is this possible to fix the above issues by flashing the different firmware and change the CSC codes etc?
Thank You.

Question Is it possible to change the region of the Galaxy Watch 4?

I just purchased a Galaxy Watch 4 in my country (Israel) and when setting it up I found out that it is a grey import with the country list being limited to a small group of Mid-South American Spanish speaking countries (Cuba, Colombia, Guatemala, etc.).
I understand this affects my ability to use Samsung Pay in my country. Would the region lock affect anything else in addition to this?
Also, Would it be possible to somehow change the region of the watch?
IMHO no final solution yet... because few things missing...
But maybe you can help...
Look into this Thread:
Firmware and Combination Firmware and FOTA Delta and CSC change and...
Looks like it could be harder since Tizen... A Stock Firmware for netOdin/Odin not available yet... B Combination Firmware not available yet C FOTA Delta File for study I have...
forum.xda-developers.com
Are you able to give full Firmware infos?
So it is is easier to identify what you have...
IMHO easiest way to get full infos is to type this Code:
*#1234#
Best Regards
I have the same issue, purchased the watch in the UAE and it region-locked to south american countries.
my CSC is : R880OXM1BUI5

That's not your CSC - that's your software version. Here's a list of Samsung CSCs: https://tsar3000.com/list-of-samsung-csc-codes-samsung-firmware-csc-codes/
yes my bad. I have SM-R880NZSALTA => so LTA country code ?

I see now where you got that first CSC, as I just ran that code in my dialer and that's what came up as well - but you're right, the CSC should be the last three letters of your model number (mine is XAC for example, for Canada) - but I don't see LTA on the CSC list, so the mystery deepens. What country did you buy your watch in?
I bought it in the UAE but the seller didn't send a local version even though he was advertising so.
Same as @SyphonFi when setting up the watch it was only allowing me to choose between south-american countries.
So I end up with a watch that doesn't allow me to use google pay.
I was hoping to change the region easily, but it seems that it's not available yet from what I'm reading here.
Hello,

Do you have a solution ?

Same issue here also...

If you own an lte version, you can change the csc once using the imei code *#272*IMEI# and change to your desired csc once. But there's no returning back. I had CSC of INS and changed to SER where ECG, BP and S pay works. But the companion phone app is region locked, so no luck even changing the region, so I followed the modded version of health monitor from @Dante63 and used vpn to install g pay following - https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...p-will-be-pre-installed.4325033/post-85581263

Sure
Note* This method can be done if it is LTE varient
Step 1: your watch dial pad enter the following
*#272*IMEI# ( enter IMEI number of your watch)
Step 2 : Select the region code or Russia (SER)
And select the option install (the watch will reset and reboot automatically)
Step 3 : pair with Mobile again and install the samsung pay plugin in your mobile
Step 4: open samsung pay in your watch and follow the steps it will prompt to mobile to add the card
I'm in India after doing these steps even LTE works fine and I get samsung pay too
I have attached the samsung pay watch plug-in for the mobile

No as of now you can't go back or change the CSC code again using this method this code works only once in a device.
But this is not permanent we can change it as of now we don't have the combination files once the combination files are available we can change it to any region and multiple times.
