Native Launcher from G2 with 7 Home Screens/customizable Hot keys

The launcher from the Tmobile G2 now has 7 home screens, and the hot keys ( Phone and browser buttons) are customizable. The only problem is, the apk that allows you to customize the hot keys force closes every time you try to open it. Is there a way a developer can fix the apk so it doesnt force close?

What is the point of this when we have LauncherPro and ADW which allow FULL customization?

No, you have to get the new Google Voice from here for that. Note: The dialer button doesn't work with Sense ROMs.

Anyway, i for one hate ADW AND LauncherPro. I think they make the phone look like a fake chinese knock off. I'd take Sense over anything but the AOSP Launcher which i am currently running over the newest Bakedsnack, it's like Ava's V10 Froyo that never happened. .

Honestly, ADW is almost an exact replica of this, just with tons more features.
This launcher is nice, especially the 3D drawer (better than LauncherPro's 3D drawer because of the smoothing on the top and bottom rows), and may be the best "stock" launcher.
I'm a LauncherPro Plus guy, but I'll have this one running alongside it when the orientation issue and hotkeys are fixed up.
Edit: Whoops, there's no orientation issue...I forgot forgot that its a feature in both LP and ADW, haha.

3. How do ADW and LauncherPro make the phone look cheap when they can look EXACTLY like the AOSP launcher?

maybe ADW does but launcher pro does not, in launcher pro you can customize the icons in the dock and have your own images there to make it look however you want, my launcher pro i customized to make it look almost exactly like the Stock froyo launcher, it looks great.

download it from your device then open it up with astros or preferred file manager, or just mount you device on you computer and drag the file to your sd card then put your device in charge only mode and open with astros, etc. and install

Lightning launcher!

Hey guys. I want to share a new launcher. Its called lightning launcher. It is free in the market.
Guys this launcher is a must try. I have found this launcher very useful and great. And i recommend this launcher specially for low-end devices. Its really Awesome!
I have a habit of changing themes and launchers every day or even several times in a day. But after installing this launcher,i have not switched to any other launcher since one week. Now i have even uninstalled launcher(which "was" my all time favourate)

After installing this launcher u will need to install lightning launcher setup app which is also free in the market.

U will also need to install LLW any widget app to use the widgets or u can use only lightning launcher widgets

Lightning launcher is of only 53 kb, setup app is of 192 kb and any widget app is of 17 kb. So even after combining all these apps the total memory is below 500 kb, which is really amazing.
There are lots of customization options available. You can experiment and setup the launcher according to your need

Yes we can adjust app drawer background. As i said there are lots of costomization options.

but i just installed it and i dint find any option to chnage the background of appdrawer

Press menu button,click on 'costomize'. You will find two options home and app drawer. Click on app drawer option,inside it u will find option to change app drawer background. Still if any doubt,do tell me

if i set a walpaper from the galary or like u described, the walpaper is super zoomed! pleas help how to get fixed. i set the boarder like i want the background to look like, but if i go home......bam!!!!...... super zoomed walpaper

I use adw launcher as it has all customizations.....is this better according to anyone???

Yes I have reviewed apex and nova both. They don't have such a vast variety of effects and for some devices they are not at all smooth, example on the xperia U the apex as well as nova lagged a lot, but go launcher was just fine. And I have ranked these launchers on customizability and smoothness. As I said before these are ranked by me and are unofficial. Thanks

I used to have GoLauncher in my s6102 galaxy Y duos very limited phone in ram and rom but Go runs smoothly and never gives problem higly suggrsted :good:

@xperiacle had a little time, and created a small application. SwipeUp - it is similar to Pullup, but with SwipeUp you can also set shortcuts.
For this, you also need a prepared launcher. I use SwipeUp at the moment with a little app also by xperiacle called Multiwindowtraytoggle. App and prepared Launcher are attached. Just install SwipeUp as a normal app and push the launcher with the right permissions (rw-r-r) to system/priv-app/TouchWizHome_K.

This is just amazing, with all respect to developer of pullup app's but once you open app using pullup first pullup app itself would be shown for less than a sec but on SwipeUp the animation is same as what it is on stock while opening magazine an even now I can assign my shortcuts using this app. Appreciate for sharing and big thanks @xperiacle :good:

Thanks.. Your Launcher works fine for me but I don't see any Landscape in it..
The original one didn't work, causes FC
Please share with me, the real stock launcher as I deleted it mistakenly..
Lastly, Swipe Up worked just once for me.. And suggestions?..

EDIT : Works fine for me now.. It was conflicting with All in one Gestures

Hello, I have a Galaxy S10+ and I am setting up my new Pixel 7 Pro, but I have a problem, I have set the font size and display size to the smallest and set the screen resolution to the highest but I am still not able to have 5 icons side by side as used to on my Galaxy S10+, can you fix that on the Pixel 7 Pro or is that not a possibility.

Hold an empty spot on the desktop, then go to wallpaper & style, set the grid size to what you want on the bottom of the menu.

Ahh ok, had totally forgot that was the cause, lol such an easy task.

Or alternatively avoid Google's launcher and go for something infinitely more customizable and superior. I'd advise Nova Launcher.

Or group them and with one extra touch you can quadruple the number available.

+2012-ish, because that (or longer?) is how long I've sworn by Nova Launcher Prime.

I seem compelling as the stock launcher with the search bar in the buttom and the at glance in the top sucks ass.
Do you miss anything by installing the nova launcher or do you just get extra stuff and another launcher, like is there any reason to stick with the default launcher other then keeping it stock.

I like to use the default apps, including the launcher, when they allow me to do what I want/need. But when it comes to the Google/Pixel launcher I feel that Google is acting like Apple in NOT ALLOWING me to remove the STUPID search bar! I have never needed or used a search on a cell phone! So I do not want it taking up my screen real estate! So then, it's back to Nova Prime!

Ues I am thinking the same also for the "At a Glance" stupid thing, google, please allow me to remove these things.

~86 apps, 12 folders, 8 widgets - made to look like 15 app icons and 4 obvious folders (and 8 widgets). I might've lost count of the apps and skipped a few. In Nova Launcher Prime, with some "folders" set to behave like apps unless I swipe up or down on their icons. Some icons I have different swipe up and swipe down actions to launch other frequently used apps that I don't really need an icon for.

how do you do it in the nova launcher.

Have you tried it? It's in the Novsla settings, home screen, desktop grid. Basic operation.
