Do you have any recommendations for dark themes that work well with Emui 9 and have dark notifications? I've found two in the Mate 20 forum, but they are not perfect for me.
the first one would be nice in combination with substratum (for store apps), but unfortunately i've no root and andromeda doesn't work since Pie update.

It is available for the P20 PRO in the battery settings. It can improve the battery life due to the amoled display.
But damn ! For me this feature should have been be included for the P20 ! Also if it will not improve the battery ...

Yep. That's the point. Someone used the base from the theme, did some minor changes, and posted on the play store. And asking money for it.
That's something you don't do!

Yes ill do it, but after making more settings themes

How centered?
Its the same as the old settings
The categories at the top are not centered as they are in Stock. In German it's Verbindungen, Gerät, Steuerung and Allgemein located in the green top.
Also there is a weird little white bar around them, barely noticeable.

Exactly, you can clearly see in your screenshots for example at "More" that it's not centered anymore.
Also below I have marked you the weird white lines, which shouldn't be here.

All my themes works fine, except the settings needs 3dot menu
And ill work it for you, its on my to do list
For all those who use layers and love to theme their device should probably not update to 6.0.1 as the latest firmware is partially compatible with the layers.
Also when you will flash the Google contacts and dialer themable, you can't disable the aosp contacts as then neither you can call someone nor the phone will show you if someone calls you. It will just vibrate and ring up.
Edit - Only magpie theme isn't working atleast for me. Also for Google dialer to work as default app, you have to set it up as the default app.

Layers not working? That's bad news. I finally made the decision to try out 6.01 and searched for some more info and then i saw this thread, lol.

I don't know. The magpie theme's primary accent and secondary accent doesn't work but destiny's accents work.
The developer of magpie theme says it's something to with the 6.0.1 rom not the theme.
Magpie works partially while destiny works fully.

Are you sure they are not made for LP only? I searched for the marshmallow supported paid and free layers in layers showcase,but I couldn't find the layers you are talking about.
Happy to hear something is working so hope they find a fix soon.
Edit: Its in the play store only. Cool, I thought the layers in the play store were the same as in layers showcase. So that means more layers to search.

Thanks gonna check them out. Inversion is nice one. Transparent is at the moment my favourite because you can customize a lot and every update something else added. Thanks for the recommendations.

If x play had an amoled screen, I would have loved a dark theme but on the bright led of x play, white looks so good.

That's very true and maybe the reason the battery last so long. Set the brightness low and its still bright and white.

I m a themes developer. I develop themes on this phone. Layers works properly here. Only the status bar have problems. Try my theme!

The theme that isn't working is Magpie and when I contacted that developer, he said nothing has changed in the theme. It might be problem in your rom.

And yes I loved magpie but the developer of that theme is very hard in dealing with users atleast that's what impression I got of him.

Just purchased the "grounge" layer and its the first layer that can really theme all my base apps incl. playstore,phone,gmail,YouTube,messaging without combining different layers.Looks awesome and highly customisable. Grounge is my new favourite

Tried the latest pn mod build
First time user with substratum and have to say amazing and really impressed and looking forward to the development of themes and its stability
I tried 3 themes
Bio hazard domination and mono
Few things i have noticed
1. i applied fonts from bio theme and nothing happened, tried 3 fonts from the theme and nothing happened although it said font applied even restarted system ui but font was the stock one
Not sure its a theme issue or substratum
2. When i applied a overlay no matter what the theme be i noticed this thing
When i opened the settings it opened just fine i mean themed and all
But for example when i opened the dialer it would load in that blue white color that is the stock theme and will then change the theme for example to the dark one when i applied mono
But this all happens in a duration of fraction a second but is noticeable
Also if I had that app in memory then it loads fine with the dark theme but when i remove it from memory and have to load it again then it behaves as described
Also don't know whether it's theme or substratum 3 themes i tried all of them didn't themed my nav bar or status bar or status bar icon, also in the screenshots for mono and bio for Layers it has themed status bar icons and nav bar so not sure about this
Other than that one more thing when i chose to revert back to the stock theme by choosing the option in the app i get a dialogue box saying play store has fc play services fc and few more apps can't remember which one but also included titanium backup in the fc as well
Also when the overlays are uninstalled and reverted back to the stock theme the phone gets laggish for a second or two i mean lag in animations for example not that if i open the dialer it will open it a bit late thats lag but if i open the dialer it opens it instantly but the it's like it's struggling in the opening animation
That's all what i can remember

Not only mate 8 but mate 9 too working. I think all Nougat firmware(Huawei) will work. Great job!
In addition, if you prefer white theme or colored theme. There are others more clear or colored.

Look here, it's my theme for Emui 4.0/ 4.1, Something I liked about this theme, this is my lockscreen with 4 ways. I added it at one of your theme in order to see if it always works. And it works.
If you want it, and you would like to add it in yours themes, you can. Of course, you could change the lockscreen wallpaper or other, no problem!

Hey guys.
I used to mod the ViPER4Android apk to include a widget that allows for quick changing/selection of the currently applied profile. Seeing as ViPER4Android went to a Chinese company, they are no longer sharing their source code with us. With that said, I went on and made my own app that allows for the widget to still work using root. It also will applied selected profiles with certain Bluetooth devices. IE, I have my Bluetooth in my car set to my "Car" V4A profile. So when my car connects, it automatically applies my car's profile. Same for my Fugoo Bluetooth speaker.
Everything is hard coded so if you don't use the defaults from V4A it prolly won't work.
Let me know of any other issues though.

Love the idea, but I've an ancient Logic X1 with jellybean 4.2.2. The app can't install on such an old platform. Anything I can do to get it to install & function?

Yeah I can make it for older versions of android.. Android Studio was throwing all sorts of messy issues when I tried changing it but i'll figure it out

Hey, for some reason Nougat doesn't like the "default" colors I set for the app. I had to hard code them into the widget. I made the text white. New APK in OP

This is the latest I have(attached to this post lol) but there will be no further improvements or anything because I can't use Viper4Android on my S7 anymore due to locked bootloaders.
