Yeah its still in Beta....so UI sucks....but i like the best of VLC is, throw anything and it will play.....

not compatible with my Note either

In google play, when I try to download, it says ‘the file you are trying to download does not exist’. In web store, it says that the phone is not compatible. I'm on paranoid v0.4.
Any ideas?

this version works great for me, thanks! i use vlc on my pc ≈4± hrs/day, so glad to have it on my phone finally.

Good app. for multimedia player at one app. for music and video. Need to improve for playing full HD video.

Default Video Player

Hi all,
on my Samsung S4 i can when i play an video (example from facebook app) choose any player i have installed(mx player, default player or video downloader)
so on my Nexus 5 it opens every Video in the Default Video app so i can't download it
i tried settings -> apps and set back all preferences for apps but it wont work.
have you an idea for me?
i do not want to get an other rom at this moment.

maybe it is your rom, it works how it should here. what rom are you using?

maybe the video itself that you are clicking doesnt get those options, maybe its only in a format that the default video player will play?

same facebook app or is it via their website?

when i go back in facebook -> the video plays in the facebook app ^^

I have the same issue you do, it plays in facebook's own video player not your devices video player. This started happening 2 updates ago, it's Facebook doing this it's not your device. I believe it's Kit Kat there is no video support aside from the Facebook player itself.
Update: Just Google Facebook apk 3.7 and it works just like you want it. You can use MX Player or any other video player and even download the video/s.

Anyone having trouble playing videos?

For me the built-in YouTube player in apps (reddit sync, etc.) doesn't play anything. Also tried MX player and it plays for couple of seconds before crashing.

Both of these are known problems and have been since release. Apparently you can tweak settings to get MX Player to work pretty well but you can't play videos in the Google Play Store, Reddit Sync, Tapatalk or any other app that embeds YouTube videos.

They acknowledged on the Nvidia forums a couple of weeks ago that they have the problem as well but haven't said if or when it will be fixed.

Important to fix. Have many problems playing Videos in several Apps.

FYI mx player has been updated for k1 HW+ support.

Hi all, this is my first post .
I had the same issues , there I 2 things to check /do that fixed it for me.
1. Check you host file in the /etc/ folder , make sure that there is a "#" at the beginning of the 2nd line , I had about 10items in my host file , I deleted all apart from the first 2 lines ( if you don't know what you doing , do not delete anything just add the #)
2. Uninstall the YouTube app upgrade .
Both have worked for me .
Also try stoping auto sync and backup .
Sign out and back into google .

MX player Subtitle is not being loaded from opensubtitle.org

Sometimes when I try to get subtitle online from MX player of any movie or anything, it appears in the screen than "You don't have permission to perform this action on opensubtitle.org." I don't what wrong I did with opensubtitle.org
But a restart solves this issue for a time. But it again comes back. I am a big fan of the feature "get subtitle online" and I use that very often. But this problem is making be feel very uncomfortable.

In Search UI, tap on opensubtitles.org. You will get a new option to login. Number of searches may be limited without log in to opensubtitles.org. Probably a limitations from opensubtitle API.

2 questions regarding PX5 rom (tasker/flitsmeister issue & steeringwheel/poweramp)
I am running latest malaysk rom on PX5 SOM board and i have 2 questions how to do something..
1.
i want to start Flitsmeister on boot using tasker, i can get it to start but not directly into the background, also it should only start when it is not already running. Does someone know how to start Flitsmeister directly to the background using tasker?
2.
i use poweramp, but i cannot get the steeringwheel buttons (skip/previous) to work with this app or other apps which are not standard, how do i get this to work?

On stock rom I can operate poweramp with swc without issues

i tried 2 different players and both do not work on steering wheel, they both do work on buttons on the head unit, but not the steering wheel controls.
The default player in the rom works fine.

Enable lock screen controls on Poweramp settings....

It is enabled but has no effect.
It is imppossible to use my steering wheel next and previos button to controle the powerampl player.
Note: the buttons on the head unit (next/previous) do work, but i want to also control it using the steering wheel buttons.
I tried other playes aswell, none of them work, only the stock music player/apps seem to work with the steering wheel buttons.
