[Feature Request] Widget

Hello
I use MX player for a few years now and I think it really miss a widget feature.
Something like the Samsung Video widget.
It would allow to simply start/resume the current video playback, directly from the homescreen.
Would it be possible to add this feature to MX Player?
Maybe on the Pro version?

Right now, the closest you can get to that is opening the app, and using the Play button at the top of the video menu screen.
If you really want a home screen play button to cut out that one step, an interim fix would be Tasker.

I see what you mean, but this method is quite similar to the usual practice :
- opening of MX Player app
- launching of the video (from the "play" bouton that you mentioned, or by clicking the video name in the files list)
The widget allows to resume the video with only one action, directly from the homescreen.
More over, the widget can provide informations about the current video (title/episode number, elapsed time,...).
Something like the Samsung Video widget here under :

Still hoping to get a video widget for MX Player...

This was already recorded on the Feature Requests list even on the old forum; bumping this won't make any more difference unless there's more details to add.

Maybe you should spend more time researching first

Me too, great player missing a basic feature.

I would really like to see a widget myself too on this great app.
I use MX PLayer to listen to a specific radio station and every time I go to Network Stream, paste there the URL and click ok.
It would be so much easier If had a widget to do all that.

Anyone having trouble playing videos?

For me the built-in YouTube player in apps (reddit sync, etc.) doesn't play anything. Also tried MX player and it plays for couple of seconds before crashing.

Both of these are known problems and have been since release. Apparently you can tweak settings to get MX Player to work pretty well but you can't play videos in the Google Play Store, Reddit Sync, Tapatalk or any other app that embeds YouTube videos.

They acknowledged on the Nvidia forums a couple of weeks ago that they have the problem as well but haven't said if or when it will be fixed.

Important to fix. Have many problems playing Videos in several Apps.

FYI mx player has been updated for k1 HW+ support.

Google store video error
Hi all, this is my first post .
I had the same issues , there I 2 things to check /do that fixed it for me.
1. Check you host file in the /etc/ folder , make sure that there is a "#" at the beginning of the 2nd line , I had about 10items in my host file , I deleted all apart from the first 2 lines ( if you don't know what you doing , do not delete anything just add the #)
2. Uninstall the YouTube app upgrade .
Both have worked for me .
Also try stoping auto sync and backup .
Sign out and back into google .

[Feature Request] Double subtitle display same time

I love display double subtitle feature from bsplayer on PC. I'm thinking It's important for language education. I'm looking for this very very very long time on Android but no one made it before, also touched bsplayer developers but no result. If you gonna make it I'll buy pro version immediately. I'm sure people like it. Please let me know.

It's already possible. Kindly follow the instructions.
Play the video, goto Menu >> Subtitle >> Open
Select the subtitle #1
Use the same method to select subtitle #2
When it asks to replace, Select Add instead of Replace.
Now you will get both subtitles together

I think you mean placing secondary subtitle on top of the screen.
This is one of planned features.

Hi,
It may happen due to various reasons.
Internet access is restricted to MX Player. If you are using any firewall apps or if your system has some kind of data control settings, kindly exclude MX Player.
If you have any adblocker app or patched the hosts file, there is a chance that MX Players update check URL (j2inter.com) is blocked. Kindly check whether you can ping it or not.

Ok, the problem was solved!
But why the version on the official site still stuck in the 1.9.10 while the play version has been updated to 15?

Hi, dev mx player not working on android 11.when i open the player a pop up message shows due to some internal changes the app will not work.

Is it working now? Anxious to try out the Public Beta, but use MX daily and don't want to lose access to it!

everything is now working fine after the latest update. I'm currently on Beta 1. The best video player for Android is back!

Which version are you using? My mx player isn't showing the video files. But will play when I click on them in my file app. Version 1.24.5 (ARMv8 NEON

Android 11 brings some breaking changes that may prevent third-party apps from accessing the complete internal/external storage. So, it may break the exiting media scanning routines. Could you collect a bug report from the help menu quickly after refreshing the file list and share with us? It will help us to understand the issues better.
