Bootloops still w the mod but fixed system mount by check mount system read only in twrp then rebooted system. Then booted to recovery and unchecked it then rebooted again and it's been fixed.

That's a strange one. How does this ROM compare to stock in terms of performance? From the videos, it's hard to see how the phone could get any quicker.

I am having zero issues with the EU rom. Been just fine. I have gcam ported with playground. I have daydream installed working fine. Only thing I'm trying to figure out is how to get pix3lfy working for call screen.

I used the one for Mi A1. I also flashed daydream enabler to get playground to work. Kept force closing until I did that.

For s-off/unlocked users.
This will remove write protection and allow for /system read/write. After flashing you will no longer need to keep weaksauce installed as system changes will persist after reboot! I dumped this boot image from one of my M8's and tested it on another. This will allow you to install such things as boot animations and busy box etc...

Thanks alot man! Alot easier than horsing around with the kernel module. This just makes it easy as pie. Thanks alot
Anyway to verify it worked? I did the easy instructions and cmd prompt did it's thing and said successful with how many seconds it took and all. Guess what i mean is there any certain root apps/tweaks that didn't work before this and now work with this?
Maybe a quick list of tweaks/apps that now work because of this kernal tweak?

[Q] My Nexus 5's Cyanogen Isn't Updating.

Hey!
It's really hard to explain my issue, but I'll try my best.
So here it goes..
My Nexus 5 keeps telling me I have a system update to download and install, so I wait for it to download and then it tells me to install the update from CM-Hammerhead-46e2abd61c to 1f023a4eca-signed.
It shows the Install update option right below, and everything seems fine till now.
When I press this Install update button, it reboots the phone, shows me an android popped open and something indicating that there're being changes which are not shown in normal reboots ofc.
The phone reboots and start, tells me it;s optimizing apps since I use Android Run-time Cache instead of Dalvik.
Now the issue is, it's not updated at all.
It shows me the same Cyan and Android version, 4.4.2 and 46e2abd61c, and when I check for update, it shows me the same thing that I have to update from CM-Hammerhead-46e2abd61c to 1f023a4eca-signed.
I tried this like 10 times and it happens over and over again.
This is bugging me for like a day now.
Any solutions to this?
Thanks.

Guess they've updated it recently then. This certainly was not the case recently, because Phil threads often get asked why it doesn't work and teh answer is the /sdcard/0.
Who knows, Maybe CM finally saw the light, 12 months after everyone else? I wont hold my breath though. Until very recently, it only worked in CWM. It was written that way

Dunno. Omni says OpenDelta only works with TWRP: http://omnirom.org/general/opendelta-brings-incremental-system-updates-omni/
I've never used Delta since I build my ROMs myself
Edit: CyanDelta seems to be 3rd party, not CyanogenMod's version of OpenDelta. Does the same thing though, I guess using TWRP is most likely to work for this? But you say it only worked in CWM.. so I have no idea lol

The whole thing came about where when 4.2 came out, they moved /sdcard from /data/media/ to /data/media/0. CWM left it as /data/media - which even today, is why you cant see your nandroids taken with CWM in /sdcard
So what the updater app did was put in the updater-script /sdcard/0 as the path, leaving the /data/media mountpoint in CWM in tact... In Philz and TWRP, you would see the error in recovery log (cannot find /sdcard/0/whatever.zip) because on proper recoveries, that is actually /data/media/0/0/whatever.zip).
So Kudos if they changed it to support real recoveries instead of legacy, antiquated CWM builds.

[TWRP] Dual Stereo Speaker Mod for S8/S8+ Android 8 Oreo Only

Hello
Here is the Update for Dual Speaker Mod for S8/S8+.
Nougat Version of Mod won't work on Android Oreo.
Here below you find the Updated mod for Android Oreo.
Tested and Works on S8/S8+ (Exenos) Android 8.0. 100% Works
Not yet tested on SD Variant.
Download Zip file below and flash it via TWRP recovery .
Also Upload Root Browser Method....
Just Extract Root Browser Method.rar and copy the files to System/etc and change permission and reboot
Remove Mod Added. You just back to Stock anytime. Just flash it via TWRP
I unfortunately installed the Nouget version on and Oreo ROM, and now I'm in bootloop! Any idea how to get out of it?
Works fine. Headphones sounds good, no changes there. I flashed via TWRP and that's it...
Thank you!
You should make a remove method...I know, maybe someone wants to remove this mod without reset.
Keep going and good luck!

Hi, I just tested on "rom minautorus" it works but every 2 minutes the phone restarts constantly so it works it works out is a shame because it is a good feature
Hi, thanks for the stereo speaker mod, it works very well on android 8.
I'm wondering if Is it to possible to let the user change the balance between the top and the bottom speakers ?
Should i concern about earpiece i mean will this cause any damage to earpiece as it wasnt intentionally designed for this purpose by samsung.
After install this mod, i have experienced problems with Netflix app. Like inifite loading or error 5.2. How can i solve this problems? thanks
Edit: this error happen everytime, i can't use the app.
Edit²: I have the solution, just go to /system/liboencrypto.so and change to liboencrypto.so.bak - i recommend to use ES Explorer and turn on the root mode.

I would lose connection to my car after a few minutes but other devices worked fine. With the October update I connected to my car no problem and it held for well over an hour a reconnected just fine after getting out and back in. So I would say yes, the patched helped my Bluetooth issues.
how do you apply the normal image through the other or through twrp or through what? Sorry

You have to unlock critical partitions then reflash the fastboot files. The critical partitions house the touchscreen firmware.

I would assume it's in the kernel or something. Make sure there aren't any extra partitions. It shouldn't have done any hardware damage. It has to be something not set straight in Odin. There are only a select number of partitions actually touched by Odin.
So one would need to find out what other partitions get touched or modded. I have restored before Kali and had a bunch of partition errors I assume was due to locked bootloader but even after restore still had those errors. Eventually a total format and restore cleared them. But your unlocked bl and modifiable kernel makes it different than my case

I made a pit file and flashed this pit through odin. But no change, I think pit file does re-partition in phone. Any other way to totally clear all of the partitions and reinstall all of the drivers including touch drivers ?
You tried andrax instead installs on top of android as a normal app needs unlocked bootloader and root to full work but has all the same tools as kali nearly and few it doesn't
