i can access the download to use it in odin but...
i tried using the ofirmware from sammobile but it fails everytime
for some variables here to help me find what im doing wrong
i dont know if im using the right firmware
im UK based and i assume the phone is too
i dont have an official samsung cable
im running the newest version of odin 3.13.1
it will probably be an obvious fix for someone here but if not i'll just have to give up and pay the guy in the shop down the road if its my only option (which i hope not because i hate giving up)

Hey all,
Longtime follower, first post (I think).
I have a non-rooted (never-rooted, I believe) Samsung Galaxy S6 (GM-G920A) that would boot to the AT&T logo and hang on a black screen with blue LED forever.
I was unable to resolve, so I decided to update to latest firmware (G920AUCS5DPI1) and now am unable to even get past the Samsung boot logo. I have scoured the forums, google, and YouTube, but have been unable to resolve.
(Note: The firmware was pushed OTA, but I was able to find it a website called galaxys6edgeupdate, since I couldn't find it on here or sammobile)
Some details about the firmware...
G920AUCS5DPI1
Android version: 6.0.1
Security patch level: September 1, 2016
Baseband version: G920AUCS5DPI1
Kernel version: 3.10.61-8851614
Build number: MMB29K.G920AUCS5DPI1
Release date: September 30, 2016

The phone rebooted and brought up the Recovery mode and showed "Installing system update..." immediately following the flash and then proceeded to hang on the Samsung logo. I forced a reboot with the HOME and VOL DOWN, then entered the Recovery mode.
The Recovery mode shows the the dm-verity verification failed...
I have tried the reboot system now, reboot to bootloader, wipe cache partition, and wipe data/factory reset options, but still haven't gotten anywhere.
Additionally, attempted the Samsung Kies and Kies 3 software. The Kies software says my model is not supported. Kies 3 appears to work initially, but after accepting my model number and entering my serial number, it asks me to check my model number and does not accept it.
Any ideas?
Can you send me the firmware?

I'm trying to get Odin to work so I can flash my bootlooped S7 back to stock ROM, but I can't get it to work at all. There are so many different "solutions" online, and none of them are working. I've followed the steps in this guide, downloaded and installed the USB drivers, using Odin3 v.3.13, using the SM-G930F AP/CSC files for my country and model downloaded from updato, and I'm still getting this error in Odin.

I suspect it's an issue with the drivers. When I plug the USB into the port, I get a "Installing device drivers" window, which recognizes two different devices: "SAMSUNG Mobile USB CDC Composite Device" and "SAMSUNG Mobile USB Modem". The CDC Composite Device is version 2.12.5.0. The Mobile USB Modem is version 2.12.4.0. I've pointed the modem to the USB drivers downloaded in the guide I'm following, but still get the Complete(Write) failed error, switched USB ports, still get the error, switched USB cables, still get the error, tried it with and without "Nand Erase" and "Re-Partition" checked, still get it, tried different Odin versions, still get it. Nothing is working, I've been at this for hours and am at my wit's end. Can someone please help?
Thank you.

Were you able to solve this problem?
I also have the same error in my galaxy s7

These things I say might be long shots but well here I go:
For the drivers (if on Windows), disable automatic driver searching and then completely remove the samsung drivers and reboot. Then re-install them with your phone disconnected, reboot your computer again and then connect your phone while it is booted to system and make sure you select charging only or MTP.
Could also go advanced mode and look for leftovers in the registry of the samsung drivers if you know how to.
Or try downloading the latest firmware "G930FXXU2EREM" and try flashing it, if you succeed then you can flash your country/carriers CSC later and possibly modem if you experience low signal.
try running odin in admin rights or double check if the files you got are the correct one's.
You should use the PIT file from CSC file.

Hi
I don't know really where to start but I can tell you where I've ended up.
I tried to install Resurrection and after I went through it all it has just ended up with Odin failing.
I then thought I would try to reinstall the stock from Sam's mobile and following that I'm ending up with still a fail and also smart switch software message remaining on the screen.
These are the files from Sam's mobile

The firmware you are trying to flash is older then what is already on the device. You need the correct version 8 firmware to flash with Odin.

The firmware you've posted is an old unbranded France yes?
This is the latest version of that firmware https://www.sammobile.com/samsung/galaxy-s7/firmware/SM-G930F/XEF/download/G930FXXS8ETC2/327936
If you know how to use Samfirm tool you can download it faster. The firmware code is XEF.

Hey I posted the message before I saw you'd already found the right firmware so shouldn't have to do anything else now. Unbranded UK has the code BTU.
The S7 is getting on abit now so I don't think there will be any further release from veriosn 8.

I think I'll grab the unbranded firmware as this one has Virgin crap all over it....(that didn't sound right at all HA HA)
Nice one for the heads up on Samfirm, the speeds are just as quick as the paid subscription on Sam's mobile.
cheers
I am trying to get my samsung galaxy note 10.1 going again. Its fault condition is that it starts to boot gets the the carriers splash screen drops that off and just sits there with samsung displayed accross the screen. I downloaded/installed the samsung usb drivers. It connects to odin v3.14 ok with the blue indication. I downloaded the correct model and region file matching my model gt-n8020 (for carrier optus) zip file and unzipped it. it has AP BL and CSC dot md5 files. when I put the pad into download mode and run odin it errors. Would really appreciate if you can take a look at the log file errors and help with any ideas. thanks

usually you will need 4x files, but that's not the error. as this outdated tablet is end of life try older version of Odin3 v3.10. you can also try heimdall frontend or cmd line tool. But consider it's simply emmc weared-out.

thankyou for the suggestion & info. I will try heimdell too. It fails under odin very quickly so I wonder if it has a valid comms link even though odin displays a link. Is there any way of monitoring the odin data packets I wonder?
check Odin3 folder for logfile
ok then thankyou
I checked the odin folder, no log file in there? The only log file I can see is the log tab in the application.

WARNING: double check pit file matches your phone model!
