Themes/Themes engine for Rooted A6003 on Pie 9.0.2 - OnePlus 6 Questions & Answers

Hi, guys. I just rooted my A6003 running OxygenOS v9.0.2
And I was wondering if Substratum works with it? If so, are there any additional tricks I should know? Or just install and run?
If not, are there any other alternative theme engines that I can look at? Thank you.

Substratum and swift installer works afais. Swift installer 100% anyways, I'm using it now.

Swift installer is amazing if you like darker colors, others theme on substratum does not work properly, use at your own risk

Substratum Compatable Themes For OnePlus Two

Now, that Layers is deprecated our old themes have stopped working and Many of these have not been updated to substratum.
Out of available substratum themes many cause bootloops, I myself could only find OrangeKitten to be working fine.
Please share substratum themes the One Plus Two community is using .
Dominatoion Theme works flawlessly
Outline works fine
Mono works well, and Swift Dark. These two, and the above mentioned themes are great and the devs keep them updated.

Doesn't it cause reboot or crash after long pressing power button?
Sent from my OnePlus 2 using XDA Labs
Mono, Spectrum, Neon and Domination all working here.
What ROMs are you all running them on?
I'm using Hunters CM14 ROM, but looking to switch back to Marshmallow for less bugs

In what rom are you trying it? Oxygen or cm?

I am using Exodus 6.0 ro for my OnePlus 2 A2005. Im using the Spectrum theme for Substratum and it works great! I really would like to go to a Nougat rom but the only one I found that uses Substratum as a theme engine is Tesla 7.0 but I keep having issues because it is not stable yet... From what I read in this forum, it sounds like you guys are using Substratum in CM 14 and some other Roms that use the CM theme engine natively? Am I understanding correctly? Is it possible to use Substratum layers in these other roms? Can I use Substratum and its layers themes in OxygenOS and CM14 or other Nougat based Roms that natively support the Cyanogen theme engine? If so, how? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Which ROM you're using?
Try Swift Dark that supports android 7.1
Works well for me on CM14.1 Grarak's build
Android Pie Substratum LIneage OS

All the best!

Layers themes support?

I could be wrong but is Layers an Xposed module? if so does that means they won't work on the pixel? i was hoping to change the theme of my phone up entirely with a single app but it seems like there's no way to do this yet.
It's not associated with Xposed. Layers has actually been replaced with Substratum. I'm pretty sure it's (partially) compatible with 7.1. Have a look at the pinned post in the G+ community:

You are required to have root for this to work.
Install Substratum app from play store
Install either https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.brit.swiftdark.substratum or a swift black theme (same dev)
Go into substratum and ignore the warnings. Select 7.1+ and install all or selected app themes.
It works great. I've ran into only a few things that you can't read (white on white) but it's rare and the app updates quite a bit.
As far as I know, these are the only 2 themes that work.

yeah and both have 7.1.1. support lol. I do wish they'd make more themes that support 7.1 tho because only have 2 choices that are both dark themed and both with the EXACT same colors is just.........blah.

Make sure you select the right version when installing the theme. I used Nougat 7.1+ when I was on Weta.
It worked thank you

Android oreo: Make the quicksettings transparent

Is there any way to do it? Is xposed for nougat compatible with oreo ti do this?
I don't know how you could do it, but trying Xposed for Nougat on Oreo is not a good idea in my opinion.
Maybe there is a substratum theme for this, but I don't know any Oreo ROM supporting substratum yet.

Substratum not working on Stock OOS 8.1

I have tried to use the rootless Andromeda way of enabling substratum themes but my themes compilation just freezes and substratum too. Currently all of my phones run Substratum themes including stock Android 8.1 and samsung 9.0 Stock Experience rom.
Had anyone been successful using rootless method.
try clearing data for substratum and try again. I'll try it tonight to see as well.

Rootless Substratum isn't going to work anymore, check this news: https://www.xda-developers.com/rootless-custom-themes-android-p/
Though I am not sure if the latest 5.1.8 update has that patch included.
Works for me perfectly.
Using Swift Black theme on OOS 5.1.8, Android 8.1.0 rootless.

Swift Installer Android 10

Anyone got a work around for this? It's not compatible yet, didn't know if there was a similar app out yet or if we are all waiting on the update

I'm just using Substratum because Swift Installer actually isn't compatible and we must wait.
Swift Installer works with crDroid 6.0

Is there an engine that we can install through substratum to control the overlay colors? I don't care about a theme, I just want to change the black overlays to dark blue, while keeping dark red buttons
Swift installer works for Android 10 it doesn't work for Android 10 Oxygen OS, An update will come soon to add support.

I think simply with a compatible substratum theme like live dark.
Swift Installer 10.0.269 is out, OOS 10 is now supported
