Android oreo: Make the quicksettings transparent - Moto G 2015 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Is there any way to do it? Is xposed for nougat compatible with oreo ti do this?

I don't know how you could do it, but trying Xposed for Nougat on Oreo is not a good idea in my opinion.
Maybe there is a substratum theme for this, but I don't know any Oreo ROM supporting substratum yet.

RR Nougat ROM no themes

After installing ResurrectionRemix's first Nougat ROM for the hammerhead platform, I found that there was no theme engine installed. Is it typical of new releases to not include a theme engine, or is it possible this is something they forgot. If it's just something they forgot would it be possible to download something that can parse CM Theme Engine APKs and act as a replacement until themes gets implemented in the ROM?
(Just a sidenote, I have a nandroid backup of my device running the MM release, so if need be I can downgrade until such functionality gets added in)
You should inform yourself more before opening threads. There is no CMTE for nougat yet. Use substratum in legacy mode.

Sorry, I wasn't aware that they needed to update the theme engine along with everything else. Does substratum support CMTE themes?

Holy ****.. really man? Substratum is completely different from CMTE (On RR it uses the RRO legacy mode)
Just download sbstratum app from playstore, download a substratum legacy compatible theme , select overlays You want and instll them. Restart afterwards
If you want themes, go back to MM and wait.

[THEME] [KlearKat for LineageOS]

Hi everybody!
Does someone know an good alternative for KlearKat and LineageOS?
I installed LineageOS instead of CM13 and it's looks really good I think.
But I also love comparing the Apex Launcher with KlearKat.
But the developer doesn't support LineageOS yet.
Therefore I'm searching for an alternative theme...
Hope you've any ideas for me?
Thanks and best regards,
Maze-M
There's no Theme Engine on Lineage OS. Find other Nougat ROMs with Substratum or stick with CM13.

Ah okay, that sounds not good ... Is there a plan to create a theme engine for Lineage OS or to get Substratum working on it?

OOS Oreo is already themable via rooted substratum and Andromeda
We cannot do anything about OnePlus breaking nougat releases of their operating system.
Hope this clears your doubts.

It's just that I wanted Substratum to be working on OOS just as it works in other OMS enabled roms

Using Substratum and Xposed at the same time ? (RR 5.8.5)

Hello
I am using Resurrection Remix 5.8.5 (Android 7.1.2) on my Honor 5C (Unlocked Bootloader, Custom Recovery, Rooted with Magisk)
I am using Xposed modules like Greenify, Fake Wifi, Instant Face Unlock and a few others.
But I want to use Substratum too, to have more customization.
It seems like no one asked the question here, so here it is: Can xposed and Substratum work on the same ROM ? Or will it cause bugs, Bootloops or others problems ? Resurrection Remix is a ROM that work with Substratum, but I don't know with Xposed...
Maybe I'm asking a dumb question, but these apps are both modifying system...
TL;DR: I want to know if Substratum and Xposed can work together in Android N.
Thanks
hydargos
132 view and no one can answer ? Guess I'll have to do a backup and try myself.
I'll tell here if this works or not, or if I experience any bug.

Same question from me, Im on an S7 with superman rom v2.90 and Im getting a "it seems that you are on a unsupported samsung device, but firebase could not be verfied" error message.
So, I tested and i had no bug at all. I have installed SwiftBlack theme (paid) and a navbar theme, and everything work fine: the navbar and the theme are applied without problem. Apparently Xposed and Substratum can work together with these theme and the modules I listed in my first post.

Well, i don't know if Substratum will work on this rom... I'm using Resurrection Remix, and it's a ROM supported by Substratum, but i don't know how this will work for you... Maybe you should do a backup and try by yourself. If your ROM is based on Samsung ROM or on LineageOS, that may work... If it work, just don't forget to disable all themes before installing an update, or you may have bootloops.

This ROM is samsung based.
So I got Sungstratum installed, along with Substratum and a test theme - no joy. Loading up Substratum app gives me the same annoying error " it seems that you are on supported samsung device, but firebase could not be verified."

Oh, sorry about that. I don't think I can help you, i'm new to Substratum and i don'tuse Samsung ROMs... Maybe you should create a new thread to ask others users what to do.
Substratum and xposed work fine in 4 ROMs I've tried out...

Substratum not working on Stock OOS 8.1

I have tried to use the rootless Andromeda way of enabling substratum themes but my themes compilation just freezes and substratum too. Currently all of my phones run Substratum themes including stock Android 8.1 and samsung 9.0 Stock Experience rom.
Had anyone been successful using rootless method.
try clearing data for substratum and try again. I'll try it tonight to see as well.

Rootless Substratum isn't going to work anymore, check this news: https://www.xda-developers.com/rootless-custom-themes-android-p/
Though I am not sure if the latest 5.1.8 update has that patch included.
Works for me perfectly.
Using Swift Black theme on OOS 5.1.8, Android 8.1.0 rootless.
