Hey Guys,
Im wondering if that Speed is normal for an 5 GHz Connection. Check Screenshot.
Im running over an ASUS RT68U to my Synology NAS with 2x GB LAN and 2x 5,4k discs.
Thanks
I've got an Asus RT-AC87U and get up to 44MB/s (which is pretty much max speed on my 360mbps connection).
Is your write disk rate just 5.4k rpm...

I don't think so. Same speed in my Office with an 120k€ NAS and an 1733mbps connection. Further it seems that the OP6 have Problems with hidden SSIDs in Dualband Mode.

VPN?
I took several speed tests on my new router hoping to get better speeds on the 5ghz network. Results are the same as my previous router. Going to flash something other then OOS to see if that solves the problem

Hey sorry if this has been answered somewhere else, I couldn't find anything on this.
My wifi keeps dropping on my tablet, usually when in the middle of downloading an app/game or anything from the play store.
It just seems that when in the middle of a download, wifi will disconnect, then reconnect within a few seconds. Very annoying!
Is there a solution to this problem? Is anyone else experiencing this?
This has been a common and much-discussed issue. I've found the following to help greatly:
1. Set wifi router to G-Only. Theres really not much of a speed difference between Wireless-G and wireless-N on these tablets since the wireless-n usually connects at 65mbps max anyway (compare to the 54mbps max of wireless-G). This seems to have worked best for me. Although, I have a completely separate wireless network for all of my "portable" devices, so this doesn't effect my media-streaming network... If you only have a single network, try option 2 below...
2. Set a static IP address on the TF700 - GO into Settings-Wifi and long click on your wireless network - choose modify and then select Static IP....
Hope that helps - please report your findings...

Thanks for your reply.
What I actually did to do to solve my problem was go in to my modem settings, and from there I changed the DHCP lease time to 'forever'.
I also changed the wireless mode from 11/B/G/N to 11G only.
Thought it'd be a good idea to post my fix back here, in case other people are having problems and would like to give this a try.
Cheers.

Given my link speed I'm guessing the nexus 5 is wireless ac? If it was n it wouldn't go over 300 would it?

I Believe it does have 802.11ac and should be able to get up to 500MB

Yep, it has ac wifi. Theoretically good for gigabit speeds, but I think the highest hit so far is 800mb/sec. The main advantage I'm finding is that you can connect to the 5ghz wireless spectrum (vs the old 2.4ghz).
Whoops thought this was a N7 thread. Never mind... Freaking tapatalk search sucks...
Some newer phones (maybe becasue of Nougat?) a feature where the lock screen does not come up if you are hooked to specific blue tooth devices, or on specific WiFi points.
Does the Mate 9 have that capability?
For Bluetooth devices, I believe it works out of the box. For wifi, someone posted a tutorial here how to make it work.

For Bluetooth it works. Using a mi band to bypass the lock screen. Just use unlock with trusted Bluetooth device.
I don't know what mi band is.
So only blue tooth, not by wifi or location? I don't hook to BT in the house. Makes little sense to not offer the feature for when a person is home. I would presume most don't hook to BT at home, at least not all the time.

Thanks. I see. Just have it hooked to that all the time. I'm thinking not ideal, but I guess would do the job.

I can't seem to find the tutorial on how to do it with wifi can you link?
I saw this today after I complained to my ISP.
Speed is down to some 300-500 kbps from 20mbps while Bluetooth is on ....op6.
Anyone else facing this issue?
About same speed with BT on/off
Same here, try to fastboot the stock room and try again.

I have this problem at home once in a while with other Bluetooth devices. I change channels on the WiFi router and it solves the problem. Try it.

Dude tried but it didn't help
Tried 11 available channels.... But same...
But yes one channel did improved the speed but not even half what actually is available.
Any other advice....??
Bluetooth and WiFi on the same frequencies is normal...

Does anyone have a solution to the slow WiFi on mtcd units?
I'm running on malaysk ROM and TomTom needs to update maps on WiFi. Last time it took about 6 hours ! To download 5.7 GB trough WiFi. In comparison to my phone on the same spot, it took only 20 minutes.
The WiFi antenna is placed behind the headunit, so literally IN the dashboard, maybe that is causing the extremely low speed? I don't see a way to move the antenna really.
I would consider using an usb dongle just for downloading maps in the future of that would fix the issue ? Does anyone know of that will help?

I had the same issue. I just download updates on my computer. I even tried hotspot off my phone. My headunit has always been this way since new.

How can you download the maps in your PC with TomTom mobile go ?
Verstuurd vanaf mijn ZUK Z2121 met Tapatalk
They have programs for map updates. I don't know if tomtom offers it or not. Mine update through naviextra, I believe it is called. It use igo for the GPS software. You can often find them online too and if you license is valid you just copy the new maps over and they should work. Just do a backup first.
