I don't know how it works. Or how it should work.
Sometimes it works, sometimes not.
Could someone enlighten me?

I had asked the same question:
It works only when the phone has been moved a bit. It would not work if it stays on a table for some time for example.

Hi,
I'm having an issue with my nexus. Sometimes the touchscreen doesn't respond. It goes blank for a few seconds. Only in certain areas. Then it works perfect. Has someone else had this issue? Also noticed that the problem fixes if I lock/unlock the phone.
Thanks,
Kel
Hi,
Do You have by any chance Google sky map installed? If yes, uninstall and reboot.

I have the same problem.
anyone else having lockscreen issues? It was working fine but now of a sudden I have to move the ring like 4-5 times before it unlocks.
Yeah man, well known issue in the forum check out some if the other threads about screen issues. There is not really any real fix except to pray htc sends out their update lickity split and this issue is addressed. Seems most people have this issue after having their phone right around the 1 week mark.

Use the search button... There are numerous posts/videos/magazines/graphic novels/HBO mini-series about this issue.

Actually they are still in talks with HBO.. Looks like CBS Studios is offering more money so the mini-series will likely wind up on Showtime.

the only problem is that I can't figure otu how to turn off pie controls.
could anyone help please?
Thanks
I dont know if you can really turn it off but you can set the trigger area to none which means you can't activate the pie.

Yh i think in settings/toggles somewhere u can deactivate them.

Does anyone else have issues with Rings Extended? I can't seem to select OK after selecting a file. Cancel button works still, but pressing on OK has no visual feedback nor any action. Tried on gf's Nexus 4 with KitKat and it works fine. I've tried on different roms on my Nexus 5 and it is not working properly.
Bump anyone?

If you are using any kind of screen filter, turn it off.

Oh my thanks! Totally did not think about that. I am using Lux. I guess that was the issue.
Not sure if I just haven't found the option yet but can we extend how long the notification light blinks after a missed call, text etc? It seems like it may only flash for 5 or 10 minutes. I know it seems like not that big of a deal but I would like to know a way to change it. I'm dispatched for work through text so not having to constantly pick up my phone to see if I have a missed call or text would be ideal. Thanks in advance!
I think this is the 1 issue with the phone that baffles me. Such a great device, but such a strange setting by HTC.

I know. Such a stupid little thing but it drives me nuts.
Well after some more homework it sounds like this has been going on for a lot of HTC phones. This is my first one.Is there an app or something that can bypass this 5 minute timeout? I'm assuming it's probably something I would have to be rooted for since apps like liteflow don't seem to work. Any help is appreciated.

Light Flow has a "HTC alternative direct mode", and it states "Phones such as the latest HTC One control the LED differently when running in Direct Mode. This option should enable flashing the LED." Granted... I am unsure if you need root for that option. Same with Direct Mode. Only option I am sure that needs Root is, well, Root mode, lol.
Sadly this is all I can think of that might help you, sorry.
You can get lightflow to work this thread in the regular M8 forum kinda lays out how to do it. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2719073

Thanks man but I don't think this will bypass the 5 minute HTC timeout.
It does for me. You just have to set the light to never time out was going for about 8 10 minutes before I noticed it was blinking sounds off its about bed time
