So this is what happened
I was charging my phone via portable charger and it suddenly crash into QUALCOMM Crashdump mode. I try rebooting but could only enter fastboot mode
So i used MsnDownloadTool to flash back the original Oxygen OS and it worked for the first time. I update the OS via software update and restarted my phone.
But i forgot to exit the MsmDownloadTool and unplug the usb cable... So MsnDownloadTool reflash the stock os again. This time, my phone hang at the setup wizard and went dead
So my current state of my phone
1) Cant enter recover mode/fastboot mode
2) Phone doesnt vibrate/or power off when i hold the power button
3) It is just a black screen with a white-ish/blue-ish led light
4) When it connect to PC, it is showing as Qualcomm HS-USB Diagnostics 900E
5) When i connect to PC while holding Power Off + Vol Up, it will still enter QualComm HS-USB QDLoader 9008, However, even if i try reflashing hydrogen/oxygen OS, the result will be the same.
After the flashing is complete, the screen will remain black and the led color will remain as white-ish/blue-ish
So is my phone completely dead? or is there any other solution that i can try?

You said you updated the phone. Maybe you need to find the tool with Pie in it already. I don't know if the tool will roll back, but I know a lot of people had issues like yours when they tried to roll back to Oreo by just flashing in TWRP. See how they solved it back then
hi. i have already sent the phone for repair and they replaced the entire motherboard
thx for the help anyway!

had op5 with same issues. lucky me, i have service box for working with efs partition. issue is that you will need to format whole phone with msmtool (red screen at flashing after entering service mode: verify hash, smt download mode, code "t****" and selecting your phone storage capacity, but then you'll lose imei, wifi, bt calibration. good luck. fixed 15 pcs OnePlus devices with same issues as yours.

I have similar issue on OP6.
Can you give us instructions how to perform format of whole phone with msmtool?
You can find unbrick guide for OnePlus devices here, it's the same process for OP5 and OP6 :
https://www.google.com/amp/s/forum....5t-unbricking-tool-confirmation-t3733012/amp/
Edit : BTW, if MSM tool doesn't work, you may give a call to client support...
Unfortunately MSM tool helped me downgrade the system but main problem with app crashing is still present

Hi
Can anyone help please? Also, are there anyone having similar issue.
Issue: Pressing the power button is not starting my device. In order to power on I have to connect charger (not usb with PC) and then press power button. What I have noticed is that once I switch off my phone it gets in to "emergency/recover mode". I came to this conclusion because after I switch the phone off, take battery out and put back in and then connect usb cable with my PC. I can see OMAP driver loads and also in the PC's Device Manager I am able to see LG CDMA.... under "ports".
It was not like this until i started several attempts to flash baseband.
Sequence of actions
Here is the sequence of actions I went through and end up having my phone at this stage
1. Followed the procedure (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=17177547&postcount=2) step by step using LG flash tool. The application was constantly crashing (PC is running on XP pro). Before flashing baseband I flashed GB hence I lost radio.
2. To bring back my radio I had to reflash 2.2 following the same procedure (emergency recovery method) in the link given in baseband flashing.
3. After finishing the recovery flash I could not start my phone using power button. I started thinking that I bricked my phone. I left it for a day. Then I thought that the battery is fully drained and is the reason for not powering on. When I connected charger I started seeing LG logo and also the phone was started. I was more excited and happy that my phone was not bricked. After this point I need charger connected everytime when i want switch on my phone. so, I am scared to swtich off my phone unless I have charger handy to me.
4. I removed all the application (LG flashing related) including LG drivers I installed before. Now I reinstalled all the necessary app and drivers for baseband flashing. This time baseband flashing was done successfully (though at 22%). Then I flashed GB rom and everything works fine.
The only issue i have is, I can not switch on my phone without charger connected.
If anyone knows solution please help me.
Thanks in advance.

I used to have the same problem,
I think its a problem about boot,
when I use lg tools it always gives error, because phone wont boot without charger, so it cant continue upgrading
I try flasing original kdz file from lg flash tool, and use emergency rescue mode,
I dont know but it somehow repair the boot
you can fix permissions before you use lg tools.
what error do you have while using lg tool?
can you post the screen capture

After i uninstalled all the drivers (incl. LG tools) and reinstalled and I am not seeing any more error while using LG tools. I even flashed GB baseband twice but no use. The link you have given explains the same issue I have.
I think you have to install froyo version of baseband and firmware first,
then try

Hi guys!
My OnePlus 6 phone went dead yesterday. I was using it normally and then it turned itself off and didn't come back anymore.
When I turn it on, it vibrates and the OnePlus logo appears for less than a second (just a flash) and then it goes off again. If I keep volume buttons pressed while powering on, the same thing happpens but with Fastboot logo. I can't get to fastboot mode. I can only get the phone detected in the Qualcomm mode (up key + power while USB connected) and I've already tried flashing the stock ROM with MSMDownloadTool (using the guide in this forum) and, although the process goes the way it should without any error, after completed the phone reboots and the problem remains the same.
I've tried a lot of things to revive it, since power cycles (as requested by OnePlus online support) 'til hardbrick procedures as I described above.
Is there anything else that I can do to fix my phone!?
Thanks!

Hardware failure.
After using this tool you will have the chinese rom installed. (H2OS = Hydrogen OS)
Instructions how to use can be found: HERE
There is only one difference. To boot into Qualcomm download mode you need to press Volume up + Volume down when phone is powered off.
There is also a guide on YouTube. --> LINK
You can easily go to OxygenOS with official Updater app.
Just download OxygenOS OTA.zip and choose it with updater.
After reboot i personally would factory reset the phone.

Hi friend, what is that different thing you say? Some is the first time we have a OnePlus, so we do not know.
Another question I have is that my OnePlus 7 works fine, but I wanted to see if this program recognizes me my OnePlus in case I ever need it, how can I enter the necessary mode to be detected by this program?
I press volume up and volume down and then I connect the cable, at that moment the program makes me "connected" (see attached image, left side), but after a few seconds it appears that "disconnected" and the phone restarts and OSS starts .
When I connect it, the images "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM3) appear in the device manager.
I do not understand why my mobile when I connect it by pressing the volume buttons and without touching anything of the program it appears that connected and after a few seconds it disconnects itself and OOS restarts.
Regards, and thank you very much.

Not sure why your phone disconnecting automatically.

Hello friend, could you help me to know why when I connect my device appears as connected and after 10 seconds it automatically restarts the OOS operating system? My phone works well, it's just a test to know if one day I have a brick to know that this program works in my case.
I would need (now that your device works, like mine) to start in a way that the program detects and looks "connected", then wait a moment and without pressing any button on the program or phone to see if it restarts alone. I am thinking that if the phone works well, the program when connected only starts the system automatically.
Read some messages above in case I have not explained myself well.
Could someone who has a good phone confirm this? Can the program attempt to automatically restart the device if the "Start" button of MsmDownloadTool is not pressed within 10 seconds?

hello, thanks for trying it, then that happens, if it is not locked it restarts, or maybe the EDL mode restarts for security if you don't press Start on the Msm tool.
---------- Post added at 12:20 PM ---------- Previous post was at 12:10 PM ----------
Indeed we have already resolved the doubt about why EDL mode is disconnected after 10 seconds. It is a security system, you have 10 seconds to press Start. here another partner who has tried it and that happened to him, until he hit start and flashed everything well.

I see that you sent a private message to me also and mentioned that you got into the Bootloader. That is not what you need.
First of all, you will need to install the qualcom drivers from here: https://www.androidjungles.com/qualcomm-hs-usb-qdloader-9008-driver-64-bit-windows/
Afterwards, you will need to hold both volume buttons, and after a few seconds connect your phone to the computer via cable (while still holding the volume buttons).
The phone will be detected as a Qualcom device and you cand start following the tutorial that was provided earlier.

Hello friend, I already managed to enter the EDL mode correctly, the doubt is that when I connected it after 10 seconds, the phone disconnected and relapsed. That's why I said that if I could test now that your phone works, it also automatically restarts without touching any Msm program button once connected in EDL mode.
Something with EDL mode in OP7 is currently wrong.
As the predecessors wrote, after connecting, it is interrupted after a few seconds and the phone reboots.
I also have OP3, OP6 in them after the EDL mode is switched on the connection is maintained all the time.

That's what @Thelargeportion wrote at OP7Pro thread:
"Yes, it did on mine. I've just used this tool to recover from root to stock.
Noted that if the program isn't started within 10 seconds, the phone rebooted automatically, I'm guessing as some sort of security lock. Restarted in EDL, connected to the MSMDownloadtool and executed the program as soon as it was connected and it flashed absolutely fine.
Note that after the phone is restarted after a successful flash, it takes about 1-2 minutes to boot again having stuck on the OnePlus boot logo."
Could be true. But nevermind... It works and that's important.
Yes, it is the most important thing that it flashes the system image.
However, it does not maintain a permanent session in EDL as
in previous OnePlus models, and that may be worrying.

Hello friend, yes, that happens to all of us, it is not an isolated case, but if once you enter EDL mode and connect the phone to the PC and it appears "connected", you press start and everything works. You must press start in 10 seconds since entering EDL mode, once you press start, it no longer restarts and blinks correctly.
This of the 10 seconds occurs in all OnePlus 7 series (normal and PRO).
Comment where I ask about 10 seconds and colleagues confirm that they used the tool: https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=79997414&postcount=54
Hello guys.
I need your help. My phone bricked itself. I left it on charge for the night and faced a black screen issue next day. Bootloader is not unlocked, so I can't enter the fastboot mode. When I press and hold all three buttons I see Mi logo for some time and nothing after. When I connect it to PC via usb it connects after some time but almost instantly disconnects. During that short period of connected state I see usb serial device(COM7) in device manager which disappears then. Then 20-40 sec pause and the same connection and disconnection. Of cource, miflash doesn't see it at all when I try to flash it. I have no experience with disassembling so I cannot flash the phone using motherboard directly or try to enter fastboot by pulling out and in battery. Any thoughts what it can be and how to fix it? Appreciate any helpful info related. I saw a bunch of articles and cases but everything got stuck because of that frequent usb toggling. Not much you can do when you can't even connect

Of cource, miflash doesn't see it at all when I try to flash it. Fastboot isn't enabled for sure because I cannot enter that mode.

Excuse me, but, there are a lot of errors and misunderstanding in your post, so you should need to sort them out, to can advance on this.
Fastboot doesn't need to be enabled, fastboot is always there, you just need to press the right buttons to send it to this mode.
USB debugging enables the ADB connection, most probably, you don't need it to fix your device.
Although this said, keep in mind that your device must have the bootloader unlocked, in order to use fastboot to flash.
If this is not the case, then you should need to use a different mode, the EDL mode, also called QHUSB-9008.
You can try, firstly, by booting in stock recovery, formatting data, sometimes this may fix the bootloop issue.

Sorry, you are right. I am not good at firmware and all the related stuff. I've updated the post. I was confused about 'fastboot' and 'bootloader'. I meant bootloader was not unlocked. But about EDL - Redmi 6 has MediaTek SoC, but still it has something similar to EDL mode. Anyway, you showed me what I can try to do next. I will try to use preloader like here https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...icked-redmi-note-9-merlin-hard-brick.4347025/
Thanks a lot!

Ok, I didn't check exactly the processor on Redmi 6, due to lack of time. Anyway, a MediaTek device is even easier to fix (in the paper). Qualcomm's devices have EDL (Emergency DownLoad) mode, and MTK has Download mode (apart from many more modes.)
You also, can follow this guide, with more visual insights https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/...india-6s-using-spflash-tool-for-free.4222027/ of course replace carefully the files from the ones that are for your device.
And this tool also can be useful, to take a complete backup, after to try a thing https://github.com/bkerler/mtkclient
Be advised, that, in any case you have to make a complete format, in SPFT only use the Download option.
Just as a side note, even your bootloader is locked, you always can enter to fastboot mode, the case is that is almost useless, specially in this situation, because a Xiaomi locked device can't be flashed through fastboot.
And to enter to fastboot mode, it's not the three buttons, you have within the various options, as ADB and commands are not available, you can enter manually, either, pressing the volume minus + PWR at same time, or pressing the volume minus button, at same time you connect your device to your PC.
When I used the Fastboot Enhance tool to flash the payload.bin file, after the flash process finished I try to reboot but unfortunately it was dead.
No Fastboot, no EDL, no recovery, 3 buttons not working, power with up/down not working, when i connect to PC no sound that the pc recognize the phone "OP 8T", when I plug it into charger no info showing, Just black screen.
So it's working now, I'll explain everything here so it might help.
My device is OnePlus 8T DDR5 version
first, I understand what happened to me, I think the tool didn't recognize ram type automatically so it was flash DDR4 on a DDR5 device, so it made a hard brick
at this point, the idea is to connect 2 test points, and you can force your phone to enter to EDL mode, and we can do it in two ways:
1. Rootk1t giude, thax bro Rootk1t
- Removing the back panel by heating it.
- Unplugging battery
- Then use the EDL points on the motherboard to force the device to boot EDL.
- The device immediately will be recognised with just one tap on "enum" now.
- Plugging the battery again and attaching the back panel and rebooting
2. By using deep EDL cable, but not any edl cable, it must be a moded cable so it can be worked with the new security ...... this link will explain
Hydra Tool Gift Xiaomi, Huawei, Redmi Qualcomm EDL Mode New V2 Cable!! - GSM-Forum
Hydra Tool Gift Xiaomi, Huawei, Redmi Qualcomm EDL Mode New V2 Cable!! Hydra Tool New Type-C EDL cable Schematic With this cable you can reboot your
forum.gsmhosting.com
- So i use Hydra EDL Cble V2 , you can buy it from aliexpress
- Be ready and open your MSM tool
- Press the cable button before connecting
- Connect the cable to your phone when you still pressing the button
- Then connect the USB to your PC
- It will automatically put your phone in EDL mode
- Now your phone will show in the MSM tool screen so you can revive it.
Thanks to everyone who tried to help.
Special thanks to Rootk1t , semdoc

Seem like you flashed the wrong xml for the ram type. There is one for ddr4 and ddr5. If EDL is not working I'm afraid according to several post it's an unrecoverable brick...sorry mate!!!
However keep searching for a solution, you never know maybe a new method of recovery from this disaster may exist. I'll keep searching and if I find anything I'll post it here!
Also have you tried the 3 buttons connected from charger and disconnected? Usually for some reason my phone won't respond with the 3 buttons when connected to usb sometimes.
Also have you used the msm tool before?

Just one more thing, when you connect the phone to pc check your device manager to see if the PC reads the phone. If it does than its just a driver issue and reinstalling the qualcom driver for msm maybe needed.
I've found that sometimes I have to reinstall the Qualcomm drivers for EDL. So check that when you connect the phone to the PC in EDL mode there isn't an entry in Device Manager under Ports (COM & LPT)

I can't know which mode the phone is stuck on, because I have only a black screen, even the Power button with volume up / down not working,
do you think if I keep it for a couple of days the battery will drain and I can use MSM tool with press 2 volume buttons, it's the last thing i think about

I would open it up and remove the battery instead of waiting for days but that's also an option. It's not that hard to open, I opened mines to replace the usb port. I just held the back of the bottom corners of the phone over the stove until it was hot enough to soften the glue and used an old credit card and my thumb nail to open it. It maybe unrecoverable anyway so its worth a try.

I've had a totally black screen at times in Qualcomm Crashdump Mode. To get out of it you can use Power+Vol up and then, when the phone buzzes, use the key combination for bootloader or MSM.

I tried a lot to press Volume Up + Power & Volume Down + Power & the 3 buttons, but with no response.
I can't feel any buzz, even I tried it when the phone connected to the PC, no sound come from PC prove that the phone is connected
Please keep us updated with any current queries or resolution as I'm very interested in the outcome.

Hello!
If waiting for battery to discharge will not help you, i suggest of:
- Removing the back panel by heating it.
- Unplugging battery
- Then using the EDL points on the motherboard to force the device to boot EDL.
-The device immediately will be recognised by just one tap on "enum" now.
- Plugging the battery again and attaching back panel and rebooting.

thanks my friend for your suggestion, yes I was thinking about this solution, but I keep it to be the last one, I think I will try this method at the weekend as I'm busy with work these days.
I'll tell you after I try this solution.
Thanks for your cooperation
