I am in the UK and received my Pixel 3 last week.
I know some features such as night sight are still to come, but does anyone know when features are coming to the UK such as Call Screening, flip to schhh and the camera features?
Quite disappointing to upgrade and find all the features Google showed during the launch are not available.
I've got flip to shhh on mine.
It's not in Gestures where the search tells you it is , it's in the Digital Wellbeing section under Reduce Interruptions
You can also use edge function to silent the incoming phone call
Thanks. Found the flip function. Not just to wait or find the rest.

Hi,
I just updated my Droud Ultra and it looks like there are missing two features:
1. in the 21.xxx sw if I approached with my hand the proximity sensor the phone shows the time/missed events. Now if I want to see the clock I have to move / to jog the phone it is not enough to go close with my palm to proximity sensor
2. in the 21.xxxx when the phone was charging a stripe/band was going up and down -- now it is missing, too (
How could I enable this features or they are turned off ?
For the first one. Yes, waving the hand over the phone no longer wakes it up. According to one of the moderators on the Moto support forum, the ability to display notifications with a wave of the hand was a bug that Moto fixed. I know..... So there is no way to reactivate it 23.3.24. Sorry.

Also stock messaging app no longer allows you to open the address book and multi select recipients. Hangouts is the same.
I could slap whomever decided to do this!
Touchless controls actually goes to speakerphone now when making a call if you have the setting checked, it was broken in the last update and wouldn't actually go to speakerphone even though it was checked but worked before that one. I'm so glad it works now.
Hi, coming over from Iphone here, completely new to android, so some of this might be user error. I've got the pixel 2, and several features are not working for me. Always on is enabled, but doesn't pick up any songs, even though all the settings are good to go. Portrait mode on front facing camera, when selected, flips the camera to the rear. Someone else said to update the camera app, but I checked it in the play store, and it's fully updated. Not sure if lens is not working, or I'm just ignorant on how to activate it. I've read in articles that if you open the camera or google assistant, the little square in bottom right will bring up google lens, but mine brings up the app windows. Help!

Whats playing was not working for the first part of the day for me, and now it appears to be working. It only polls for music once every sixty seconds. Also, it can't detect ALL music.
Someone in another thread said google is rolling out updates for certain things like camera gradually at different times for different users. keep checking your apps in the play store for updates, that will bring the selfie portrait mode to you.
ATM lens is only available from google photos. There is a button when youre looking at a photo to run it through lens. if you dont have that button, i bet it will show up after your phone gets the updates. It's super underwhelming atm, though.
Thanks, I'll wait to see what they push out over the next few days

Hey, this is reassuring to hear –*I got my Pixel 2 yesterday and experienced all of the same issues as you.
A tech support chat told me that there was an update to the camera (5.1) but it would be slowly rolled out.
A further issue I noted was not being able to connect to android file transfer tool for Mac. I spent 3 hours on support trying to solve it to no avail. This was all in order for me to migrate my WhatsApp backup from iOS to Android.
I hope these updates will solve the problem, but coming from iOS, I'm just not used to bugs on key features on release day and then getting updates slowly rolled out.
I'm not sure about the WhatsApp issue - mine backs up messages automatically and restores when I install it on a new phone. For accessing the phone on my Mac I use the excellent app AirDroid - free on the play store. This is a really good way to access stuff on your Android phone and has tons of features like access to the filesystem, downloading apks etc.. It works wirelessly.
Flip to Shhh is not working since day 1, updated digital wellbeing, checked all settings, toggled on/off from the interface, rebooted to check, checked in sound option from settings no option of turn on automatically, waited flipping my phone for long time but still not working,
Is this a bug or i am still making a mistake don't know.
Will i have to opt digital wellbeing beta mode for this?
Pixel 2 users please let me know if you are facing the same issue of flip to Shhh not working.
peace.
Santy
Hello mate, new to the pixel 2 myself but tried the flip to shhh and it's working for me, I have it enabled in well-being and in gestures in system settings if that's any help
Hi all, just wondered if you could guide me please in the best Smart home doorbell which has a decent android supporting app that sends instant notifications to android phones? In your personal opinions, please. I am an owner of a oneplus 7 phone, I have purchased numerous doorbells from amazon,
Ring Door Bell 1&2
Video Doorbell, KAMEP 1080P HD WiFi Doorbell
Both of which just do a bad job of sending notifications to my android phone, they both have decent reviews, yet, the delay in notifications are terrible for the Ring, and the other doorbell I do not get any notifications at all!
However, if I install the supported apps on an iPhone the apps notify my old iPhone 8 instantly with no problems on both Doorbells. They work perfectly Why is this?
I have tested both doorbells on 2 android phones, Samsung galaxy s10 and my one plus 7 phones. All stock android, I have switched off battery optimation for the supported apps, in addition to setting notifications "on" and Important, to pop up during all phone profiles. Wifi password setup for the doorbells is also on 2.4ghz frequency, with no special characters for the password. I have exhausted all avenues on trying to find the best camera with decent instant motion alert for android.
Before I go on to purchase another, I was hoping if anyone could guide me tell me what front camera they have in support for their android device and comment on whether the notifications are instant. When I say instant, I mean at least within 10 seconds. Like any recommendations to purchase, please.
Also, the doorbell function I am not fussed about. I just want a camera to put at my front door that notifies me of motion near my front door to my phone, not a cctv type bullet camera, but a doorbell kinda type, of course, the doorbell feature would be preferable, though amazon do the blink camera which just a camera for motion detection yet small looking which too is fine, though, again I am hesitant because what is the notification like on it to android phones. It just seems to me that the app support for these devices on android are just no good. I have yet come across any doorbell android app that has 4.5 star on the store. All mostly below 4.
Your thoughts, ideas and advice are greatly appreciative. Thank you to all.
I just switched from a Pixel 3 XL to the Note 20 Ultra 5G. I prefer the Pixel's Always on Display over Samsung because it shows the weather icon and temperature and my next alarm under the time over Samsung's widgets where you have to scroll to see. I also would like the voicemail tab in Google's Phone app but it is disabled for certain devices. I am rooted. Is there some way to get Pixel's AOD and Pixel's Phone app on the Note 20? I tried to install a Pixel AOD mod for OnePlus but it didn't work.

I just came from the same phone.
I have tried very hard to get voicemail into the phone app, I don't think it can be done. I have not tried AOD, it was not something I used.
I am now struggling with Google Discover. I got it working from the search app, and was happy with that. But two days ago it started erroring out saying it can't connect to my account. Nothing I do fixes it.
I have been on this for about 6 weeks and honestly, I may go back. I don't have any money in this phone and One UI is probably not for me.
Well the plot thickens for my Discover issue. Fired up my Pixel that still has my account on it. Same problem, errors on the Discover feed.
