Flip to Shhh not working? - Google Pixel 2 Questions & Answers

Flip to Shhh is not working since day 1, updated digital wellbeing, checked all settings, toggled on/off from the interface, rebooted to check, checked in sound option from settings no option of turn on automatically, waited flipping my phone for long time but still not working,
Is this a bug or i am still making a mistake don't know.
Will i have to opt digital wellbeing beta mode for this?
Pixel 2 users please let me know if you are facing the same issue of flip to Shhh not working.
peace.
Santy

[Q] Lost features in 23.3.24 ?

Hi,
I just updated my Droud Ultra and it looks like there are missing two features:
1. in the 21.xxx sw if I approached with my hand the proximity sensor the phone shows the time/missed events. Now if I want to see the clock I have to move / to jog the phone it is not enough to go close with my palm to proximity sensor
2. in the 21.xxxx when the phone was charging a stripe/band was going up and down -- now it is missing, too (
How could I enable this features or they are turned off ?
For the first one. Yes, waving the hand over the phone no longer wakes it up. According to one of the moderators on the Moto support forum, the ability to display notifications with a wave of the hand was a bug that Moto fixed. I know..... So there is no way to reactivate it 23.3.24. Sorry.

Also stock messaging app no longer allows you to open the address book and multi select recipients. Hangouts is the same.
I could slap whomever decided to do this!
Touchless controls actually goes to speakerphone now when making a call if you have the setting checked, it was broken in the last update and wouldn't actually go to speakerphone even though it was checked but worked before that one. I'm so glad it works now.

Jittering In Call Options & No wallpaper motion effect after 5.1.1 update

Hi, I recently updated my S6 G920F to 5.1.1 Build Number XXU2POGJ
Ever since the update, the wallpaper motion effect is gone. The toggle button to turn it off on doesn't work. Furthermore, I wiped cache and now the toggle button is not even there anymore.
Has anyone else had these issues?
Also when I make a call I get the options 'Live Vid', 'Share', 'Bluetooth', 'Speaker', 'Keypad' , 'Mic'.
Before this, I used to get the option 'Add Call', 'Extra Volume', 'Bluetooth', 'Speaker', 'Keypad' , 'Mic'.
I can only see the options regarding 'Add call extra' after I press show keypad and then minimise keypad. Also when I make a call, it jitters between the two options as if the phone is confused as to which options to display.
Its really annoying :/
All of this are improvements of the last update. Enjoy!

But, I would expect Samsung to just put an option to disable it rather than remove it all together. (Regarding Wallpaper Motion Effect).
Also, regarding the In-Call options am I the only one?
Oh wow, just realized this should be posted in the Q&A section, mods can this be moved plz.
*bump* anyone else with these issues?
Wallpaper motion effect also not working in mine after update.

Flashlight icon is greyed out?

I just got an S7 to replace my Note 7, and right when I set it up, I got an update (T-mobile). I'm on Android 6.0.1 and have the September 1 security update. After the update, my flashlight no longer works. The bulb is good, because I can use the flash through the camera app, but the toggle is greyed out. I tried installing flashlight apps, but TeslaLED crashes and won't even start, and others don't even recognize the flashlight. Also, I tried "ok google, turn on the flashlight" and it replied that the phone doesn't have one. Is this a common issue?

Proximity Sensor Location/Issues

Was trying to verify the Easy Mute motion (hand over screen or flip to mute calls or alarms), and it does not seem to work in either folded or unfolded configuration. I also tried running AndroSensor and that shows no change in sensor when I cover the top half of either screen. Anyone else having similar problems, or is it working as expected for them.

I just tried it myself and turning over the phone definitely muted the incoming call (with the phone open or closed) Also the palm gesture worked (cover screen only) but that was slightly more difficult as you really have to cover the whole screen for a couple of seconds.
I also used AndroSensor (and another app) and noted the proximity sensor was present but wasn't showing a reading. Obviously it is working (and works when holding phone to ear by turning screen off for example).
So I am not sure why it's not working for you.

Thanks for checking.
Did some more testing, the flip gesture seems to be working for incoming calls with the Google Phone app, and alarms created by the Samsung Clock app, but not the Google Clock app or Calendar notifications. Using the Google Phone app once the call is established, then the screen does turn off when held close to a head when folded. So seems like the sensor is working, in some situations, which means it is probably software related, rather a hardware defect. I really don't want have to reconfigure my setup up again.
The Google Phone app also has a setting flip to mute, which was not set. So I flipped that to true.
I had previously written a Tasker profile to mute everything (enter Do Not Disturb) on a Pixel 3XL, before Google implemented it at the OS level, so I may try that here.
Certainly seems like a conflict with the Google phone app. The gesture settings are OneUI features so they are unlikely to work with a different dialer.

I think the problem is that the Samsung implementation is to hook into a small subset of their applications to do a local mute, where as Google implementation just invoked Do Not Disturb, which meant every application would mute, assuming they are compliant. I think DND was slightly flakey on OS9, but from OS10 onwards it was rock steady.
To bring clarity to my local behaviour, I enabled my Tasker method that engaged DND when the phone is flipped. Works in both folded and unfolded configurations. As a bonus with Join, I have a method that automatically distributes DND to my other devices.

Question Bug: Galaxy Watch 4 on DUJA not able to turn off water lock

Does anybody else have this issue? I can turn on water lock, but can't turn it off - only reboot helps.
More info: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5...-not-able-to-turn-off-water-lock/td-p/2067227
For me, it's the other way around. I can't turn it on, it's been that way for a while now. Can't link it to an update for sure though.
It's the same issue and I'm pretty sure it's related to the update, I also managed to unlock it somehow by multiple pressing home button and turning the bezel - then was not able to activate water lock (it did nothing when selected). Restart of watch helps in both cases, but it's really annoying, hopefully will be fixed with next update...
I realized that my problem is different. I can turn on water lock, but it doesn't show in the quick settings panel. But if I go to the settings advanced settings, I can see that water lock is on. I can turn it off there, too. Seems like it's just the quick settings shade that's broken for me. And only for that feature.
Works fine for me. Turning on and off, both working. GW4 (44mm) with DUJA (Netherlands)
I found the solution to my problem: this happened with new DUJA update for those only, who changed windows, transition, animation scale in developers option (i prefer speed over animation). Once you change it back to x1 - water lock works perfectly again. Case closed.
Can't confirm. My animations were 1x all along, and I still have the problem. I tried switching to 0.5x and back to 1x, but that didn't help.
Strange. I can confirm what @LarasLTU said. I had all 3 animations turned off and so the water lock went crazy. Now I went back to 1x speed on all 3 animations and it's working again.
Maybe a reboot might help you after turning animations off and on again?
