You allready know netOdin and flashed "other" Firmware?
Or by "unknown" accident... or you bought in used condition?
1.
This is Tool for Flashing... netOdin:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73503787&postcount=150
2.
Try first to look at Odin screen...
Look as example here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73607036&postcount=1
Upload Photo or write text...
Warranty void.... custom or Original Samsung blabla...

Hi I had my battery replaced under warranty and when I got it back my brand new tizen 3.0 os was gone and the pervious os was there. I factory reset the watch and checked for update and it said the most recent update was installed. Any advice?
1.
Model Name?
Example:
SM-R760 or SM-R770 or SM-R765 or SM-R775
1.1
If LTE... please not forget last A-Z
SM-R765A or SM-R765T or SM-R765L ...
2.
Check your Firmware Version... with Code:
Code:
*#1234#
Then maybe we could try to help you...
Best Regards
Thanks
SM R760
R760XXU2BQI2
TIZEN 2.3.2.4
I really appreciate you taking the time to try to help
Tim
If you Google for:
Code:
R760XXU2BQI2
Found only 1 hit...
I have no idea for which CSC/Sales Code...
You could update to:
A.
BQC5 Firmware
Then check FOTA... update over the air
If not update to latest CQL1, then...
B.
CQK3 is the old "buggy" Tizen 3...
But we have CQL1 not as Full Firmware...
C.
Or you check your active CSC/Sales Code... with Tool:
SDB
So we know if valid CSC/Sales Code is set... so it is easier to identify Firmware...
Depend on you.
If you want flash your device with netOdin...
Best Regards
Edit 1.
netOdin + some instruction + Videos:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73503787&postcount=150
Same here got watch back from warranty and haven't been able to upgrade to the new tizen.
AP R760XXU2BQ12
CSC R760OXA2BQ12
Tizen version 2.3.2.4
anybody found a fix for this?
Sent from my SM-G950U using Tapatalk
BQI2 seems "Service" or not public Version...
No idea for which CSC/Sales Code released... if released...
If you use Google you are landing in 1 hit... here:
https://us.community.samsung.com/t5...n-after-gear-S3-app-update/td-p/98171/page/26
My suggestion...
Use netOdin...
Flash CQL1... with netOdin.
You can do this at home...
No Rocket Science...
This is the only worst case scenario... if no luck:

Hi,
I was looking for R720XXU2EQJ2 firmware for my Gear S2 to flash it (if somebody have it can share it?) and I have found a unkwnown firrmware "Combination - R720XXU2AOJ2 " and "ENG SBOOT - R720XXU2AOJ2". Someone knows what the different about two firmwares?
You can download from https://shell.boxwares.com/default.aspx?DeviceModel=R720&Type=All#fh5co-table
Thanks!
1.
Best Link since weeks. :good:
Thank you very much.
2.
Combination Firmware is Factory/Service stuff...
sboot/Bootloader is ENGineer Variant...
Sometimes also Kernel... or in case of devices with Radio/Modem... this is also special...
Stock Firmware contains USER insted ENGineer
3.
R720XXU2EQJ2 I saw only as paid Version...
As I "need" it for my SM-R732 too...
Anyway... why not flash older Version and go the good old FOTA update way? Over the air?
IMHO EQJ2 is more buggy... not tested... but S.msung is not really famous for improvements in Tizen Firmware...
Best Regards
can I flash this via odin on my s2? witch one? comb or eng sboot?
can I flash the version SM-R735 on Gear S2 of T-Mobile (SM-R735T)?

SM-R735 is IMHO the Korean Variant...
So better NOT try...
You need Software Revision 3:
Code:
R735TUVU[COLOR="Green"][B]3[/B][/COLOR]CQJ2/R735TTMB3CQJ2/R735TUVU3CQJ2
In other words you need for SM-R735T valid SM-R735T Firmware...
Otherwise you could end up like here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s3/help/please-help-bricked-gear-s3-sm-r765s-t3665558
https://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s3/help/sm-r765f-teardown-t3659431
Maybe on Gear S2 less dramatic...
BUT I have warned you.
Own risk!
Best Regards
Edit 1.
On paid sites I can find this as Stock Firmware:
Code:
AP_R735TUVU3CQH2_usr.tar.md5
BL_R735TUVU3CQH2_usr.tar.md5
CP_R735TUVU3CQH2_REV00_CL2011873_QB7278016.tar.md5
CSC_TMB_R735TTMB3CQH2_usr.tar.md5
Combination Firmware:
Code:
COMBINATION-FTMA_R735TUVU[B][COLOR="Green"]3[/COLOR][/B]CQH1.tar.md5

I have NO Crystal Ball nor any kind of mystique powers... to smell what you have or you want to achieve...
So MINIMUM info... EXACT Model Name... like:
SM-R732
or
SM-R730A
or
SM-R7???????
2.
Please differ between netOdin and Odin...
If I read Odin I think you have soldered wires... for USB cable...
3.
What you are trying?
Device is dead... alive or you want something remove or add or ??
No idea if you mandatory need Combination Firmware or we are "talking" about Stock Firmware...

Sorry but, how can I flash my SM-R720 with these files? In NetOdin I don't know where I need to put it?

So, I've seen that root has been achieved for the S3 and people are attempting to port Android to it. What I'm not seeing anywhere is a guide on rooting that clearly states which models are rootable.
Mine is a SM-765T, does this fall under a general model when looking for info? Ie; Sm-760 as a series or the various letter designations folling the 3 digit part of the model number?
Or is my worst fear the case that my particular model is not root able?
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
1.
Samsung leaked Factory Firmwares aka Combination Firmware have ROOT access by default.
2.
Gear S3 hard to root...
Gear S3 LTE variants like SM-R765series + SM-R775series... much harder...
3.
Example for your T-Mobile SM-R765T... for USA...
You "need" this Software Revsion 3 file:
Code:
COMBINATION-FT30_R765TUVU[B][COLOR="Green"]3[/COLOR][/B]CRB1.tar.md5
Good... you have root
Bad... Factory Firmware... useless for normal user...
4.
Look here:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s3/help/sm-r765f-teardown-t3659431
Maybe then clear... why we have no easy riskless solution. :crying:
5.
Stock Firmware I have "experimental" rooted...
But only SM-R760 tested...
Could do this in "theory" also for SM-R770... as I have all files...
But for LTE... I have not similar files nor device to test...
Yeah... live is sometime hard...
All LTE devices have easy Connector to attach USB cable...
But these devices are only sold in:
Korea
USA
Singapore
New Zeland
I have from Germany nearly ZERO chance to buy nor spare parts...
Fank y. Sams...

Thanks for the breakdown. Bummer about the root difficulties. Maybe there will be a break though with a future update.

what are the benefits and reasons to root gear s3
Well I would like root just so I could change the default apps I hate having to always use Samsung apps as my main mail and texting apps just for them to work fully.

samsung s3 sport shows iny the logo heelp please cant even hard reset
Hello guys, actually i have an gear s3 frontier(SM-R760), some months ago it was broken and i sent it to my friend and he got the motherboard changed. But after the change, it appears like an gear s3 classic(SM-R770)
The problem is that the update is stuck in Tizen 2.3.2.0 R770XXU0API3.
And i have the question if the motherboards are the same for those models and only the rom changes?
Sorry if they are dumb questions and for my bad english(i'm from spain), Regards.
Someone pls?
I want to flash it and idk if i need to use the SM-770 or the SM-R760 rom
No idea if you can easily switch back...
Stupid Bootloader sboot.bin controls the Watch now...
Check first Odin Mode aka Download Mode... to see who is the King... Example to identify Bootloader on device:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=73607036&postcount=1
If you see SM-R770... take SM-R770 Firmware...
If you see SM-R760 take SM-R760 Firmware...
