Hi,
I had my friend's Qmobile Noir A10(clone of canvas2). Infact it was already upgraded to 4.1.1 by company. When ever I try go to recovery an android appears with red sign and stucks there and i have to pull battery out. Root and restore by binary isnt working. Sp tolls doesnt works as well. Is there any way to root?
I want to root because I want its ROM.
hi brother . the screen you telling must be recovery , or bootloader mode, when that appear press the softkeys to get options in recovery.
by the way easy method is to flash CWM recovery via flash tool and then flash su update .zip.

Yes I know its stock recovery which isnt working
Can you tell me that exact steps?
I downloaded CWM img file and mtk6577 scatter file
I gave path to that img scatter file in sp tools
Click download
connected phone(switched off)
but didnt worked. giving me errors.
Please help fast. I dont have this phone for always :S

what kind of error you got via sptool.....
and its Jb so root and binary by restore method dint work....

Respected DEV is here to help you . tell the error you are getting and just to know . do you have correct drivers installed on your PC.

No drviers were installed. I downloaded from micromax official website and installed. Again used sp tools and getting errors again.
Sorry buddy i have canvas 2 . but u can google for appropriate drivers .
And u also need to install phone drivers by enabling usb debugging
And MOBISTEL v com drivers are used for our canvas 2 u can try that also

bro as its clone of mmx A110.... so mmx scatter file can work....
i got this prob might be due to the connecter inside the phone which links the usb cable mine i got it rectiified from service center of mmx try to take it to the service center and check the connector

I tried to upgrade my MMX A110 to Jelly bean using SP Flash tool but ended up in a bricked device(Most probably a hard brick :crying
Now my phone is not turning on or showing any sign of life...(Even the battery LED indicator is dead:crying
What i got is this: BROM ERROR : S_DA_INVALID_ADDRESS(3036)
I've attached some screenshots and logs i got during the process. Please help me if there is any way of giving life back to my phone...
You format your device using sp tool?
If you have formatted than okay, and if not than its good.
Use download option instead of firmware upgrade to flash your rom.

Have you flashed CWM recovery in your device before ? If you have then download any ROM for your device and flash it as per instructions given in the Rom's thread.. But if u havnt flashed CWM.. Then download Stock firmware of mmx A110.. And flash it through Sp flash tool.

Yes you can install rom even after full format with sp tools, but format using sp tools is never recommended.
Now the difference is, when you full format with sp tools, everything like bin region, secure information in ic like imei and memory partition are erased, so to gain proper partition you have to press download instead firmware update.
If you don't do it you can't boot up your device.
I don't know what you did with your device. But seems something like what I suggested will work.

I also faced same problem. What i had done is Removed battery while a seconds and put it on again. In Sp flash tool folders Android and back up of nvram is deleted and start flashing and worked..

Of course it wont turn on, you wiped the OS without replacing. just flash back the stock backup using SP flash tool.

I own a gionee elife e3 and i tried to put in the xperia HD v1 rom in it. I accidently missed updating the firmware to the chinese one and applied the zip file for the rom . Now my phone is stuck in the gionee logo screen and refuses to go ahead.
it is getting charged. and i can get into CMW to mount the sd card.
please help as soon as possible people.

Dont worry just flash another rom or stock rom of your device if available, or restore a backup if none of this worked then try the unbricking guide link in my sign but remember this is for other device you can take a tutorial

i tried flashing the device with SP flash tool but it gets stuck after a point. could you suggest me a link to how i should go about flashing the device ?

just flash the boot.img via sp_flash tool and u can recover from the boot loop.

just flash a custom ROm in CWM then revert to stock when your phone is up
my device is Galaxy S5 G900A AT&T , first i tried to root my device and after many times it failed but i got problem that it is now stuck on recovery mode (and USB Debugging seems deactivated ) and i tried to recover the lollipop for my devise using ODIN not succed , also KIES not recognizing my device so i couldn't preform emergency firmware recovery , please advise me if somebody faced the same problem !

I've had this problem before but with debugging on. Can you tell me which recovery are you using? Do you have a backup before flashing that recovery?

Unfortunately I didn't make backup, and I am using the default recovery not any custom recovery, Is it possible to recover the software ??

Try flashing twrp using fastboot.

Try removing the battery then putting it back. Then see whether you can boot to download mode or not.

Yes I can boot to download mode, but my device stuck on download mode I can't recover using kies or Odin and even using flashboot because usb debugging not activated and I can't active it also because I couldn't start the device

Plz someone create a twrp or philz or ctr or cwm custom recovery for my micromax Q371. I have tried all auto port tools and mtk droid tools to port a custom recovery for my device. But it comes white screen on twrp and black on other recoveries  . Plz someone help me.

Dude I'm having prblm here.Mynis Q371 but it's dead shows only media tek preloader
then I downloads the flash files and everything is good but still device wont boot up.After flashing When I press power button it agin show mediatrek preloader driver but every flash was download succesfull to device

Have u installed vcom ... First install vcom drivers... Then load scatter file in sp flash tool .. Then click on download button... Then connect ur device using usb data cable

Thanks 4 the reply ..I did everything The phone was good at earlier time. I wanna flash the firmware again ..So did it via sp flash tool And stuck here .. Flash the v11 and select format+download in sp flash tool
... Surely u will get success.. I have faced this type of problem in many handsets by flashing older versions... Then got out of it by flashing newer versions....

No i didn't have any custom roms/ recovery's flashed previously on that device
and by the way i tried these files http://mtk-p.micromaxinfo.com/produ...-01-2015/MMX_Q371_SW_V09_HW_V1.1_14012015.rar which is named MMX_Q371_SW_V09_HW_V1.1_14012015 this is v9 i guess
and also MMX_Q371_SW_V11_HW_V1.1_16052015 [this is v11 right!!] this and Micromax_Q371_V1_20.01.15_(by_xdafirmware.com) [this is also v9 i guess]

so these r the file i tried still no hope... i guess it's eemc chip problem will soldering it may work
and also in older version of sp it shows ppmc get failed error 1024 but in newer versions it's flashing with out any error but not booting device ..any other ideas

Successfully i ported cwm and philz recovery for q371 but still unable to port twrp for it... Can anyone help me about this... I ported all from android one.. But unable to port twrp.. Help!!
