hi falks.
i have j7 sm-g610f 7.0
i want to flash oreo that just got out in india:
https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-j7-prime/SM-G610F/INS/download/G610FXXU1CRI4/237611
and here things get tricky.
i live in another region.
i tried to flash it with odin but i'm getting fail all the time in odin.
here are my questions:
1. can i flash with odin the oreo files: BL, AP, CP (and keep in mind that they are 8.1.0) and the CSC (7.0) file form my region?
2. if the answer is yes, i won't brick my device?
3. can i downgrade from 8.1.0 to 7.0?
Update:
I live in ILO region, so just that FYI:
I managed to flash stock 8.1.0 INS on my sm-g610f and everything is working fine.
My USB cable was damaged, that's it.
Good luck to all.
Mine is F version but its MID firmware. Can I flash this from nougat to oreo ?

Hi! I wanted to downgrade from android 7.0 to 6.0.1 to install Xtrestolite after. I have csc VD2 and tried with stock fw XEU and VD2 from sammo..but all i got was error :use Smart Switch
Questions:

Why i couldn't downgrade to 6?

use odin to flash 6.0.1 firmware
That is what I tried to do. I used two versions of Odin and tried to flash 6.0.1 VD2 and XEU but i got an error after a few seconds and soft bricked my device. I tried to use Smart switch to recover but got stuck at 93% (2 times). Eventually I flashed 7.0 VD2 with Odin again. Back to where I started
flash this version: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B6i7SkUaVY0GOTVTdEhmT2VFRHM/view

This nougst s6 is pure s**t why there is no custom kernels ?
Hello,
Is it possible to downgrade from Nougat back to Marshmellow without triggering Knox ?
I upgraded my S7 via OTA Update. Now i have big trouble with the GPS indoors while playing Pokemon Go. The location via wifi seems messed up in 7.0. On 6.0.1 i never had problems.
Can i just flash the latest 6.0.1 (G930FDBT1BPH2) via Odin ? Or can there be a problem with the Bootloader which could be upgraded during the 7.0 Update ?
Does this procedure trigger Knox ? I want to keep the phone on Stock Firmware without rooting oder custom Firmware.
I downloaded the 6.0.1 from updateo with the following files :
AP_G930FXXU1BPLB_CL9689434_QB11912457_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
BL_G930FXXU1BPLB_CL9689434_QB11912457_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
CP_G930FXXU1BPJJ_CL9519568_QB11350220_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
CSC_DBT_G930FDBT1BPH2_CL8887037_QB10698583_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
HOME_CSC_DBT_G930FDBT1BPH2_CL8887037_QB10698583_REV00_user_low_ship.tar.md5
Can i just fire up Odin and put these files according the first letters in the fields ?
Greetings,
Chris
Yea just flash with ODIN
CSC = Reset (You'll need to choose this one to downgrade as 7.0 apps are not compatible with 6.0)
HOME_CSC = No reset
Only flashing custom will trip knox, flashing stock with ODIN will not trip it

Thank you
Just for my safety
I need the first 4 files. Put em into the 4 fields in Odin 3.11.1 including BL - Bootloader (This part ist the most fear for me ) and flash them with "F-Reset Time" and "Auto Reboot" selected ?
After rebooting the phone a Full wipe is a good thing, i think.

Use ODIN 3.12.3 or newer, that version is too old
3.12.7
Code:
https://mega.nz/#!jUgRiTSa!fnAVwr7yFi4dlPk4V0oQ5DuoFe3iiG0jH-ws91IHOPc
Flash AP, BL, CP and CSC
The phone will automatically factory reset after the flash so no need to wipe again
DO NOT change anything in ODIN, leave everything as it is

Hello I am very new to this and like to know if i can downgrade too from android 7 if there is a security path already applied to the phone? Can I also just flash it with Odin stock rom?
Do I need the exact build number or just model number? And does model number needs to be the same so I got SM g930v? Can I flash from different country that is not G930V but G930F
And would the PDA number also need to match? Thanks for helping!

You cannot flash a G930F firmware on a G930V device. They have different hardware. You need to flash G930V firmware

The USA variants use a qualcomm chipper, the G930F (international model) uses an exynos chipper. You will end up bricking it by trying to flash incompatible firmware
Does anyone know how can I reinstall ZTO ( Brazilian)
Stock firmware on my S7 SM-G930F once odin 3.11.1 says
Looking for something to get pit mapping.
The stock firmware is from Poland and I want to swipe for Brazil stock firmware.
No root my device has. Knox 0x0.
You can get the Brazil ZTO firmware from http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?q=SM-G930F&rpp=15&r=ZTO&order=date&dir=desc&exact=1
And here's a guide for flashing the firmware with Odin http://updato.com/how-to/how-to-install-an-official-samsung-stock-firmware-using-odin

Hi!
I have a question, I am on the CARHDRom, not the 8.0 but the Note ported ROM from about a month ago.
Can I use ODIN and flash the stock ROM for the G955F with the 4 files to have a "clean" handy without root and with the settings as it came from the factory?
The 4 part ODIN Firmware I have is the AQH3 Firmware. If someone can answer, have I got to use the HOME_CSC or the other CSC file? The Firmware is DBT (for germany) and this is right for me.
Any help needed

You can return your phone to fresh using the stock OEM ROM. Use the stock CSC file, as that will clear our your Note 8 port CSC, which I'd guess you'd have.
Don't use the Home CSC, unless you wish to have your old CSC data remain on the phone.
Thanks a Lot,
No I finally know the exact difference between the two CSC files.

Yes you can flash the 4-file firmware, using AP, BL, CP and CSC_OXM (not HOME_CSC).
Just keep in mind that AQH3 is quite old (August 2017), and the newest firmware available is AQL5 (December 2017).
You should flash that instead.

You can simply skip all the older firmware and use the latest version.
Here's the latest Odin files.
Download here: G950USQS3CRE2
You would need this Odin to flash.

G950USQU4CRE9 File needed for ATT S8 G950U.
Hello, Thanks for your previous quick reply. i really appreciate it. I flashed my s8 with CRE2 by odin was great which link was given by u. Also i flashed that with new file called userdata alongside AP,BP,CSC,CP etc. But im facing slowing sometimes (could be some bug). So this time i want to upgrade my software build to the latest version which is CRE9 (june update). I searched a lot but couldnt find anywhere. Can u help me to find the latest G950USQU4CRE9 for ATT S8 G950U (Unlocked).
i have another question too. Do i have to add userdata to flash my device or can i just skip it and go with other 4 file.
Love from Bangladesh (Asia). Thanks
Hi, I have a little doubt, I have an S8 AT & T, but it is the G950U version in Android Nougat 7.0, it is released by IMEI, could I install the firmware of the G950U1 of Android Oreo 8.0 without any problems ?, Or would it cause a brick?
Maybe it will break.. bcoz when i was searching this update file.. theres many websites claimed that we need 950u file for 950u devices and 950u1 files for 950u1 devices
Need firmware
