The phone is not even available to buy yet and yes I am sure a pet will be done if technically possible
I'm taking a wild guess here... But I think it needs to be released first..band after that they also have to release source code aswell ...band my third wild guess is this will happen without your request, because developers are curious of how they can make it work.. oh..also .... They might just port hardware into our devices.. because that's what they do..
But what do I know.. I'm just guessing.
How much time?
How much time(approx) will it take to port Google pixel 3 camera for OnePlus 6. I am so excited to use pixel 3 camera port with depth control ?.

You need to be patient, it maybe takes some time, I guess till the end of November
Can I suggest you change the title to something more appropriate for this "request".

Holy **** man I did not know that. -_-
I mean, isn't this something to start working on to make a port for other phones?
A port is already available

Hello everybody
I just bought the N5 32GB version, but I thought it would be possible to have the S4's camera app on this device since it has more functions than the n5's stock camera app. I woukd also be interesting to have the dual camera function in order to take two pics simultaneously (front and back camera). Playstore don't offer much, or are not comparable with the s4 camera. May you tell me where to download it or if there is a special version for ours n5?
Thanks.
Nothing yet
Probably won't since Samsung has an entire set of weird proprietary drivers.

Won't work, uses Samsung's proprietary framework. Some alternatives you can look at include Focal in the play store, and a few developers here are working on an LG G2 port and a Lenovo port. I can't believe how bad the stock camera has gotten which each android update. Google keeps removing settings and customization options. Why in the world do they think the end user only wants to change one setting at a time? I really dislike how the settings close as soon as you make one change.

I don't have an alternative unfortunately. The stock camera app may not have too many features, but it serves all my purposes well.
Snap Camera seems fine, but it doesn't have as much features as S4, unfortunately.
In s3 never Achieved the port. Here I see impossible.
Sorry for my bad english.

Love LG Camera
i really want to buy mate 8 and i love it but i'm afraid from one thing i'm a user that root his phone and use xposed and flash roms
my question is rooting and xposed will work on this phone without problems?
and i think for mate 8 there is no number of custom roms
it is nornal that the phone is new but my question is like after 2 years when the phone stop to recieve update it will be a custom rom for it ? like Cyanogen?
Root yes ,xposed not working, stock ROM is very good with Google now launcher
I don't believe that CM is making ROMs for Mate 8
Sent from my HUAWEI NXT-L29 using Tapatalk
Root works, xposed works, no cm ROM in sight but delete a bunch of bloat apps, replace them with Google apps instead, and use layers manager along with theme app for a very close to aosp ROM feel
Have to say, was very anxious to find out how Emui would be in practice. If it would be bloated, ugly, overkill, etc.
But now, after using the device for a few days, can honestly say that I wouldn't want it to be any other way! The amount of things you can change, set or extract techy data from is enormous. Don't want stock Android anymore. Don't want CM13. This is it. Emui rulez! :good:
It's fast, smooth, does it all. No regrets. Can't / won't downgrade to stock/ AOSP / CM

Mine doesn't even get warm. There are no dots on the screen either. Having a large battery makes it charge a little slower but mine charges fast if I use the original ac adapter and cable.
hi. i read about camera app taking forever to launch. any similar experience? does using another camera app solve the problem?. also how good is the loadspeaker? im coming from s5>nexus6>note edge and they all have pretty loud sound
Hello everybody, I was wondering if someone could tell me the best mate8 model to buy I will be using it in the usa. I'm using the mate2 now and it is a solid mid-ranger. I have unlocked the bootloader and have cm13 running on it now. I would appreciate your suggestions on the mate8 models and why you pick it. Thanks..
I'm interested in buying a Mate 8 and I was wondering if you can shoot RAW pictures using the Mate 8?
I know that it has a "Pro Mode" option but I can't find any videos online showing a full indept review of that feature, so could anyone explain/elaborate on that?
Many thanks in advance!

Most Raw-capable camera apps you can download from the Play Store won't work as well due to crap implementation on Huawei's side:
Shame, really.

If you wish to buy a Huawei phone and need RAW image files, you have to wait for the release of P9 (April 16th) or P9 Plus (May 20th) that both offer this functionality.
Thank you guys for the reply.
That's really sad to hear then. My LG G4 recently died on me with the infamous boot loop problem and I can't get it fixed anytime soon. I might wait for reviews of the new P9 but I do like the Mate 8 as well though. I'd just have to sacrifice RAW function then =/

It's not only a matter of RAW vs non-RAW... P9/P9 Plus dual camera has been yet tested by some reviewers and defined a significant step forward compared to Mate 8 (but still worse than Samsung S7).

You are right, there's more to it than just RAW, but having RAW function is usually beneficial as you can process the picture later and not rely solely on the phone's image processor. Although if the phone's image processor is good to begin with then you shouldn't need RAW.
My G4 had RAW and I quite liked it, managed to get some good shots during my holiday before it died on me(luckily it died after my vacation was over, lol).
How is the Mate 8's Pro/Manual Mode? Is it any good?

Not very good, no. Yes, lots of options but don't buy this phone for the camera. Much, much better alternatives (like your G4).
I have tried many APKs at https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/#apk195 and some others for OnePlus5/5T.
They are not working.
Anyone have a solution for this problem?
THX.
Also didn't manage to find a working app that gives the same quality like I had with gcmod5 on OP3 before yet
MGC_5.2.022 yields pretty good results for me.

I think SD845 has been released for a while==
When will we get this feature.
Does MGC_5.2.022 have dots on photos?
m really confused, wheather should i go ahead and buy op6 or should i wait for improved op6t !!
at oneplus experience store, i clicked a lot of pics, but certainly i am not satisfied with the quality which we used to get in op3t !! with a gcam mod. It just blows away. M using IP7 as a spare phone and camera is pretty good, m not a iphone guy. hopefully someone find out to make camera better. specifically, portrait mode ported from google pixel 2 ! fingers crossed.
Any version of Gcam I tried doesn't work on the 6. HDR+ seems to be nonfunctional. Maybe it really just isn't compatible with the SD845

It is not working.
After selecting model. either Pixel or Nexus and restart the app, it pops up with error.
If you do not select any model, HDR just don't running.

Maybe after the Pixel 3 release.
With SD 845 doesn't work HDR+; so it's usefuy, for now.
I got Urikills version of gcam to process the HDR+-shot twice. After that, no go. Tried to reproduce but cant make it happen. Settings were Pixel / Nexus 6 auto hdr+ / super fine.
Just saying that there is hope.

so, is there any info on whether we will EVER manage to use the camera anywhere near as intended on Arrow OS 12 or even pixel experience 12 or we're stuck with the 12mp?

well, the google pixel devices are equipped with that sensor (12mp), perhaps you can mod gcam source code in order to get all poco x3 pro sensors working as you state and share it here. i read that opencamera has 48mp sensor working...

Jokes on you if you think that those Lposed modules don't break anything on a PIXEL device. (talking about PIXELIFY modules). Not the unlimited storage for Gphotos.
DevCheck will give you that since its based on what code your running....

Correct, it does work but I'm trying to get a Pixel 7 fingerprint so I can get the Unblur face feature that is still exclusive to the Pixel 7 series.
