Is there any GCMod with motion photo for OnePlus6 now? - OnePlus 6 Questions & Answers

I have tried many APKs at https://www.celsoazevedo.com/files/android/google-camera/#apk195 and some others for OnePlus5/5T.
They are not working.
Anyone have a solution for this problem?
THX.

Also didn't manage to find a working app that gives the same quality like I had with gcmod5 on OP3 before yet

MGC_5.2.022 yields pretty good results for me.

Gcam doesn't work properly with SD845 yet.

WOW, I also installed this one. But I didn't get motion photo and portrait mode. Is there any setting for this version to open them?
I though it is suggested setting when u install it.

I think SD845 has been released for a while==
When will we get this feature.

Does MGC_5.2.022 have dots on photos?

m really confused, wheather should i go ahead and buy op6 or should i wait for improved op6t !!
at oneplus experience store, i clicked a lot of pics, but certainly i am not satisfied with the quality which we used to get in op3t !! with a gcam mod. It just blows away. M using IP7 as a spare phone and camera is pretty good, m not a iphone guy. hopefully someone find out to make camera better. specifically, portrait mode ported from google pixel 2 ! fingers crossed.

Any version of Gcam I tried doesn't work on the 6. HDR+ seems to be nonfunctional. Maybe it really just isn't compatible with the SD845

It is not working.
After selecting model. either Pixel or Nexus and restart the app, it pops up with error.
If you do not select any model, HDR just don't running.

Maybe after the Pixel 3 release.

With SD 845 doesn't work HDR+; so it's usefuy, for now.

I got Urikills version of gcam to process the HDR+-shot twice. After that, no go. Tried to reproduce but cant make it happen. Settings were Pixel / Nexus 6 auto hdr+ / super fine.
Just saying that there is hope.

That is reasonable

Maybe someone will find a workaround...

Missing "HQ-Mode" in camera app

Hello!
I currently miss the "HQ-Mode" from the OP3 in the camera app from the OP6.
Did I miss something to enable it or is the "HQ-Mode" not available anymore on the OP6?
I find the pictures from the HQ-Mode from the OP3 very good as in this mode multiple pictures were merged into one single pic.
As I don't have the OP5 or OP5T I don't know if the "HQ-Mode" was available there too or substituted by another mode.
Do someone have more information in this regard?
Thanks in advance and sorry if this question is commonly known.
It was present on the OP5, but now it disappeared. I don't know if it's coming back to OP6.

Okay, but HDR is something different as HDR is for making the colours more vibrant with merging 3 different exposured pictures into one picture and the HQ-Mode is "only" for more quality of the picture (less noise etc).
It were good if the HQ-Mode will come back with some update.

How is the Gcam App?

Let's be honest the 7 Pro is not a very good camera right now. We all know with OnePlus it will take a few updates to get the camera where we want it. I was wondering if the Gcam apk is a better alternative right now or is it still in development for the 7Pro??
Don't know about you guys, but I been taking really good photos with it. Stock app and not even Nightscape.

I'm using the OnePlus stock camera app.
There is a gcam thread further down the page.
The camera is brilliant, came from Huawei P20 Pro and did a blind test between them for some friends. The Huawei scored 0.

TMobile Camera Update

Hi,
Decided to check for updates manually today and was surprised to find that the new update was finally available for this phone that includes the camera update!
I installed it but haven't noticed much of a difference. I'm not complaining, as I liked the camera from the start.
However, one thing I did notice with this phone is that when you take a pic at full 48mp, if you zoom in, there are artifacts in the image. The problem is that it seems this new update made 48mp pics significantly worse! Have you guys noticed this? The same aluminum/bar-like artifacts are there but the images themselves are significantly degraded in quality.
Let me know if guys experience the same or if maybe I'm doing something wrong when taking full, uncompressed 48mp pics in pro mode.
Thanks!

I had to get a new OP7Pro due to the back glass cracking on my first one. Since receiving the new one, I haven't installed the TMobile 9.5.6GM31CB update seeing as it does nothing for our device. If someone else confirms that this latest update messes up the photo quality, I will continue to hold off on updating until it is resolved.
Thanks for reply. The other strange thing is that when checking for updates, it still shows the same security update from April and not this latest update, even though I got confirmation it installed successfully. Very strange.

I did notice that fnatic mode has been added. Not too sure about Zen mode as I added it through apk mirror

The international version which I switched to is so on 9.5.7 and only has the April security patch so the T-Mobile version is as current as the international version.
So install it or don't? What is the concensus? Thanks

Install it, nothing broken.....camera a little bit better that's all. In my phone tap to wake is better now.
You are right. Tap to wake very good and so is screen response. I never had prob with camera but once again, 48mp pics in pro mode are significantly worse. Someone else I'm sure has had to notice this?

So the 48MP mode that you are referring to is the Pro mode, and 48MP JPEG, correct? If that's the only thing that takes a hit, I may update from 9.54. I never navigate to that mode to take a photo so this may not be a bad thing for me personally.

Pixel 4 Camera

Hey guys.
I tried nearly every Gcam 7/7.1 port on my RN6PRO.
but none of them worked, it installs normally, but as soon as I open the app and give all permissions, it gets force closed.
It doesn't even reach the viewfinder.
Running pre-latest HavocOS /Pie.
Tried some magisk modules/ some zips that claim to enable pixel4 camera on any device but with no luck.
If any one could run latest gcam on his RN6PRO/Pie, please share how could you run it kindly.
By the way I want to share my experience with TrGcam port.
Its the most stable and takes noticeable better photos than other ports(for me at least) try it and thank me later
Can you give a link to TrGcam port mentioned?

Working perfectly fine on mine RN6 with Cam2API enabled.
I didn't root it.
its not work properly because,Redmi note 6 pro doesnt have 32s shutter time or 16.Gcam only use high iso rates on this phone.i dont understand. Why xiaomi not allows that option? That will be works verry verry verry good if xiaomi allow this function.

At least this version can take normal and night sight photos.
But sadly when it detects tripod and starts astrophotography scence, it force closes immmediately.
Btw, looking at package name shows that this version is based on TrGcam.
Thank you thats a good headstart.
Edit 1:
Can you please post some astrophotography samples taken with your rn6pro?
Edit 2:
No, this port has nothing to do with trgcam, sorry dont blame me, blame ES File explorer

Actually, normal night sight takes photos at 0.5s exposure time, which is not possible on stock cam.
I know that night sight will not be very promising with this locked-exposure sensor, but I have some free time to do some of those out of risk experiments with gcam.
Btw, thanks for your information, 10s night sight are much better than nothing.
For now, I couldnt achieve more than 4 seconds of night sight (I mean total night sight photo takes around 4 seconds to capture, not 4s per frame)
Edit:
And for Xiaomi not enabling this feature, how would they convince you to buy their next redmi device?
Actually, if I bought an RN7, camera will be the reason.

Request to any P40 owner

There was an option in camera app on my previous Samsung Galaxy S8+, and it appears it's an option with Huawei's Mate 20 series, that allows the camera to only record slow-mo video when motion is detected.
However, this 'only record when motion detected' slow-mo option is missing on my P30 Pro.
Can anyone with a P40-series phone let me know if Huawei put it back in?
EDIT: Never mind. Turns out the option appears when you select 960 fps. Here's what I captured:
Yes its back..

Global or Chinese? Which Version?
I'm in the UK with p40pro so must be global. Just do a system software update to 10.1.0.114
Never mind - Turns out the option appears when you select 960 fps.

Not sure if I'm finding the correct setting. But on my p40pro the option to record slow ow on on motion dection works on all fps options but you have to set the area where it my detect motion.

Off the topic query but how are you finding the p40pro till now in terms of camera and the software experience? ..i have ordered one here in UK and will probably get it in a couple of days

First off it it's a beautiful device and feels great in the hand. It's one of those devices that you find satisfying to touch.
The camera is excellent exactly how I expected it to be after owning a mate 20 Pro a last year, and that device ruined my experience of owning a note 10 plus as the camera on the note just couldn't compare.
Software is good although EMUI is one of my favourite android skins anyway. I find it pretty easy to live without gms as I don't really do social media or anything.
It is easy to put gms on this device although I took it off just to run a stock phone as stock. Due to the fact the only things I wanted from gms (Google pay and music) won't work anyway.
Main gripe with this phone is no gpay or banking apps. Hopefully Huawei can sort this soon. Oh and no stereo speaker or dolby atmos.
Now I need to decide whether to switch from my note 10 plus to this or not?

Yeah the note Is a good phone but Samsung ruined the note with a software update that made the camera blurry and the Bluetooth streaming skip on music play back. And seems as though I take 100+ inspection photos daily for work it's very annoying.
I just can't get on with Samsung ui either it's too much.
The thought of not being fully tracked by Google is quite refreshing as well.
It is weird how nice this phone feels... I find even if I'm not using it I just rotate it in the hand whilst watching TV odd.
