The Cataclysm ROM has a setting to disable it, which is good for me since using the LMT pie control on the bottom of the screen totally doesn't work well with the Google Now gesture.

I just developed an app for that, enjoy

I'm trying to go back to stock. The ROM I'm using now allows 5 customized navigation buttons. This seems to be the only mod I can't do without. Does anyone know how to get 5 nav buttons and your nav bar on a stock or close to stock rom?
My nav bar actions:
second action is long press
pull down notification bar, torch
home, search
back, kill app
recent app list, last app
app drawer, settings

Only thing that may be able to do this would be an Xposed framework and module for Nav Bar customizing. Try Gravitybox or one of them.

You could try Ultimate Dynamic NavBar (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.mrbimc.udn&hl=en). May be what you are looking for.
Thanks but they don't have all the options im looking for

You sure about that? They have like 20 different options and you can cram 9 different buttons on the nav bar. I doubt the custom rom you were playing with had more options than that.

UDN does not have a notification bar pull down action. I believe it did not have another action I have listed above but I can't remember and unfortunately I have refunded my purchase. I also don't like that it's an app.

I think you are being too picky. If you are wanting to be on stock ROM, the only way you are going to get those customizations are with Xposed or an app. If neither does the job, you should just stay on the ROM you are using.
I'm not to picky, I live without a lot of options. My rom has tons of options and all I want is its navbar settings in xposed. I think the only customization this phone really needs is a personal smaller navbar.

I noticed on the Att model they removed the brightness and volume sliders from the drip down menu
Is there a way to flash the system file to add it back in? There isn't an option for it in the G3 tweak box.

I came here to ask this same thing...why would they remove a feature that we could toggle on and off?

I had it on my F400S and I was surprised that it was removed, and call recording but the ladder was easily fixed .

In G3 Tweaksbox you can enable the status bar brightness slider under Theme > Status Bar > Enable Status Bar sliding (@ bottom of menu)
Note this isn't a slider in the drop down. You touch the status bar without dragging down and slide to change brightness.

I don't have that drag status bar to change brightness functionality on my d850.
I have the icon I can talk that has preset increments but I like to manually slide it sometimes rather than going into the settings.

They might have done this to fix the Chromecast System UI crash
I know it's not as simple, but if you long press on any of the toggles it brings you right to their settings. In the brightness slider case, display settings. Just in case people don't use tweaksbox.

I know, but thats more of a hassle, and I would rather have the slider. Maybe tweaks box will have that feature added to it.
As stated above, only way to get this functionality (somewhat) is to use G3 Tweakbox Xposed module on rooted phone. However this module only gives you ability to change brightness while sliding/dragging your finger on notification bar. Its not what you are looking for but serves the purpose just fine.
However I forgot if this option was enabled in free version of G3 Tweakbox or not. You would have to check yourself since I have already unlocked the premium version so can't go back to verify.

Yes, it is usable in the free version of TweaksBox.
if someone could pull the SystemUI.apk from the Korean variant and then drop your SystemUI.apk, it can be modded in...
this is partially what xda is here for.

Holy cow....ATT and their typical bull****. First the bloatware now this.
It makes absolutely no sense for them to remove such a useful feature. This reminds me of when ATT removed the mobile data toggle on the S4.
Either way, I hope someone will figure out how to add this feature back.
Did you guys try to tap the edit icon in the list of icons in the status bar? In there you can select the toggles you want in the status bar as well as enable volume and brightness Sliders.

.
As lennyuk said earlier, it might have something to do with Chromecast not working because of these sliders in the dropdown menu (some say so)

Yeah I realized that after some digging around. But still, I hope someone creates a mod that can add the codes back.

It's not there, I had a F400S so I remember where it was but here is a screenshot for those who still think it's there on the D850.

I requested the brightness slider to be added in the G3 Tweaks box and its there now. Didn't ask to have the volume slider added in though. Go to the thread for the app and request to have it added in.

Last time I checked (which was quite a while ago) light flow wasn't updated to lollipop? It didn't follow the new lollipop notifications. Meaning if I had it set to priority notifications, light flow let everything through anyway. Has this been fixed?
And does light manager do the same thing?
I can not hide applications such as former now I can not mate 9 on the reason why
It's just the way it is.
