Hi guys,
I've recently purchased the Pocophone F1 by Xiaomi. I've noticed that on maximum brightness, there is a little bit of screen bleeding from the bottom of the device, its not easily noticeable unless you know you are looking for a screen bleeding issue.
My query is that, will this affect the performance of the device? Is it a problem that may be fatal to the lifespan of the mobile phone?
refund or replacement is not an option for me
Thank You

Hi everyone. Anyone have a problem or bug with xzp. Example; touch screen problem, screen bleeding issue, camera distortion issue, pixel grid issue, losing Wi-Fi connection, weak LTE signal strength etc. Last update could fixed these problems.Would you recommend to buy xzp? Please answer very important for me.

in terms of pixel grid, hmm yah its noticeable if you look closely...
sony claims that the phone has a 4k screen/ pannel so the grid of the pixels changes so its noticeable.
others say its the assembly, i really dont know but the screen does show grids if you really really look close but its not an issue.
no touch screen problems.
no screen bleeding.
camera distortion? hmmmm depends, on auto mode yes could have especially in low light due to lack of OIS (optical image stabilization). But morning pics are really ok and are in fact on a high level, could be stated on the level of xz2/samsung s8, better than Oneplus 5, check youtube for that.
in terms of video though, it has a really good video camera.
check youtube honestly, speed tests against any phone out there this device is almost unbeaten! camera is great, maybe not THE best but ONE OF THE BEST.
again, youtube any thing related to the phone against other phones and see which one has the best features that suit your needs.
Hey everyone,
I've recently sent two Mi Mix 3 units back because the screen colour uniformity wasn't perfect. The middle of the screen had a pink-ish hue, while the top and bottom were more yellow.
I thought this was due to the screen being an OLED, but my Galaxy S8+ doesn't exhibit the same problem at all.
Is this a common thing on the Mix 3, or have I just been extremely unlucky in regards to the panel quality?
I think u got the latter. mine was absolutely perfect
if u have the warranty, better use it soon so u wont regret.
Mine was perfect also. After going through 6 LG V30's with screen issues. I have been very happy with the screen on my Mi MIX 3.
Got it 2 days ago, barely even used it, still waiting for unlocking permissions...
I believe it's just Temporary Burn at max brightness but I've never seen it be so obvious on literally ANY display before!!
The shadow you're seeing is caused by the Brightness Slider in dark mode, and can be recreated in less than 5 seconds, and goes away after 20 seconds
I read somewhere in the MIUI forums that it could be a software problem regarding MIUI 10/11's advanced display algorithms, but I highly doubt it as I know the system only changes the overall contrast based on lighting
I did multiple tests with dimming On/Off, and compared it to my Mi8 SE running some Xiaomi.eu MIUI 11 beta, it's a completely new problem on the Note 10
Please test it yourselves as well, I'm looking forward to detailed replies
Many thanks!!
I have mine by 2 months, mi note 10 with cc9 pro xiaomi eu rom, started noticing the same things latest 2 weeks ( you see it better in a dark enviroment ).
Max i reach is half brightness, can't stand more, so i can guarantee that is not because of max brightness as i've seen that happening even with just like barely readable brightness.
Reading mode and anti flicker don't help.
I can even assume that with anti flicker on ( that i always have ) is worse.

UPDATE:
The problem has gotten much worse, does anyone know who's manufacturing these for Xiaomi / Huawei?

UPDATE:
The problem has gotten much worse, even the white text I'm typing right now in the XDA Labs app is leaving light shadows when I backspace, I'm %99 sure that I have a factory deflect, and no warranty, so I actually might end up replacing the screen in a few months if officially stated fixed versions become available

Visionox manufacfure the display, not the usual Samsung xiaomi used for their oled. Samsung is prone to burn in too, every oled is, but it is clear that quality talking this display is inferior to the Samsung one's, never seen this kind of ghost burn in until this phone. Let's hope will always remain only a temporary burn one
This is unbelievable... even the Samsung Galaxy S5 mini has far superior image quality and calibration
I don't have any burn-in problems yet but I can agree with you about the calibration and quality issue. Even when I change it to warm or cold, I can't notice a big difference, and I don't really like the colors it shows. Most of the reviews say this phone has a great screen, I don't think they were lying but there must be a problem with the quality standards of the brand of the screen. My 3 years old S8 Plus shows better colors with its cracked screen, which is annoying.
Hello,
I've been using Redmi Note 11 Pro plus for the past few days. I had been using a Samsung m30s before and compared to that the display experience in Redmi Note 11 Pro has been dull.
Last day I noticed something. I had tried using a completely black wallpaper and then I noticed how the black was not proper. Colour was leaching out through sides of display like a backlight bleed.
I had seen previous reports of a possible Redmi Note 11 Pro Display problem which made me do a display test on the phone. Then I noticed that this bleed like effect was present also for white as well as dark grey colors.
However these went away after I restarted my phone. So I wanted to know whether anyone else experienced this Redmi Note 11 Pro problem.
<Moderator Edit>: Self-promoting video link deleted.
This is a software issue that only occurs on MIUI. On custom roms this problem doesn't show up and the screen is completely black.
Probably a software issue, mine is noticeable when swiping the brightness while on the black screen test raging from 8 - 15% of brightness where I can see the bleeding
Hello I was planning on getting this phone (Redmi note 11 pro 5g) but after researching a bit I came across this thread. I heard this is an issue that affects both models. Is this an issue that affects only certain units or do most have amoled problems? Does this only show in 120hz mode? Thanks!

My device has no such problem. I generated a #00000000 image using an app and tried viewing it at max brightness in a dark room and the screen legit turns off. Its kinda freaky to see a display turn off when you know its on and expect some bleed. I come from lcd so thats what I expected. Needless to say I'm glad my model wasn't defective.

I have compared the Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus 5g (peux) with last years top model Redmi Note 10 Pro Max and this display seems to be more colorful and vibrant compared to last years model. That one seemed more washed out in the same display modes.

The issue is not present at 100% brightness. Try keeping the image, and play around with the brightness settings from 0 to 100. Then, you can notice that at certain percentages, the backlight bleeds quite heavily. In my device, it's at around 30-50. Some other users report that it's happening to them at 40-60.

hi does this affect daily usage? I tend to use my phone a lot at night in bed so it would suck if the bleeding is that bad. How noticeable is it when watching content with dark scenes/backgrounds?

On my day to day usage, I find that it's not noticeable at all. However, If you're watching content that has pure black elements, it is very noticeable. It's inconvenient, but usually when it happens I just turn down the brightness a little bit and it's gone.
I wouldn't say it's a deal breaker, I still think the phone is a pretty good value, but buyers beware. There's some hope that it'll be fixed in an update at some point but I wouldn't hold my breath. Just be aware that your mileage may vary.
Is this an issue that is present on 60 or 120hz? Saw a couple of posts on other threads that say issue disappears on 60hz. Is it the same on yours?

The problem still persists regardless of whether or not I set 60 or 120hz. On my device, at least.
Guys, try this app called Oreo colorizer. This solves the issue.
It forces the display to shift its color space to DCI-P3 instead of the default sRGB according to the below XDA thread.
So the issue is software related. NOT HARDWARE. Hope Xiaomi solves this by updates in future.
[APP][Official][v1.1] Oreo Colorizer
Oreo Colorizer uses an invisible system overlay operating in wide color gamut that forces the display to shift its color space to DCI-P3 instead of the default sRGB. Optimized Rendering only affects apps that use SurfaceFlinger (IE: 99% of all...

Brand new after less than a week of use I just noticed that on the left edge of the screen on low to medium brightness, on a background of any color there are bright spots like smudges on the top and bottom of the screen. Which is pretty annoying since it's visible in day to day use.
I'm curious as what is the cause of this, is it a factory defect or is it the pre-installed screen protector? I don't know if this is eligible for a replacement or if this is common on oled displays and run the risk of getting worse displays on the RMA.
Here are some photos using a phone, the camera seems to pick up the stains better if the screen is at low brightness and barely visible on medium brightness, but when seen with the naked eye it is very noticeable be it low, bright and any colours that it displays.
Don't bother, sent it back as warranty.
