I've been wanting to update to Oreo but I don't know if it's stable or not, has anyone tested it as a Daily driver yet?
For me, it's super stable (I've got an FRD-L09C432). I updated the same day that the update came out for my device through HiSuite about 1.5 month ago.
It feels like it charges faster and drains less battery (But that might be because I did a factory reset after updating).
But I'd say you should update if you could, I've heard people say that they've had problems but personally I haven't experienced any of them.
Oh, ok . Thanks for the info !
Will update tonight and hope nothing goes wrong !

Am I the only one frustrated ?
I really want and need the performance boost of 6.0 to enjoy fast app lauch and app switching faster browsing etc..
There is a lot of bull **** talk about this beta, let be clear I want no beta cause it is a pain in the ass
to reinstall your phone too many times, and going from beta to official version might is hard too.
From what I have seen in youtube videos Marshmallow seem to work good ?
so why the hell let us wait more ? why endure this pain and suffering more then they need.
There is people who suffer everyday daily for frustrating performance problems of Mate 7.
Huawei released the Beta to public on purpose cause they want to use us all as lab rats.
Push out the official version now, I will not install any beta software.
This is is important cause if Marshmallow get an satisfying performance increase, then
I might skip to buy Mate 8.
Mate 8 was nice but it has some flaws... The black borders around the screen..bugs me a lot..
for instance..much different to the press renders where the screen did go from edge to edge.
what version of lollipop are you on?

I've emailed Huawei about this, seeing as the 'official' versions has been released in Egypt and other parts of Africa.
Long story short, they only said that they are still in the testing phase and cannot give any form of feedback as of this moment.
Cool that they replied and said they are at least testing.
My question in my first post remains. Reading all he'll and problems people seem to have with the installation of marshmallow I am happy I did resist the temptation to install the marshmallow beta.
However it seem the official must be near?
My wisdom is to those who are in the beta program . Does huawei respond to any feedback of bugs or at all or is it a dead projekt? Seem meaningless to have a beta program if they are not working om it..
The beta has dragged out on time a lot and I honestly doubt they will improve much more then the beta.

Huawei is notorious for severely delaying updates, sadly. I wouldn't be surprised if we only see the update in the second half of this year.
To be honest I'm considering getting rid of my Huawei and picking up the Nexus 6P. The only reason I bought the Mate 7 in the first place was because of the fingerprint scanner, and the 6P has it whilst also being pure Android, which is neat. Not knowing that custom ROMs are virtually impossible with this phone has given me severe buyer's remorse.
it is now march where the hell is our marshmallow ? common Huawei..you really dig your reputation grave deeper and deeper
You have already done 95% of the work why not finish the last 5% this is frustrating!!!
I feel that the project is dead... I hope to be wrong
Enviat des del meu HUAWEI MT7-L09 usant Tapatalk
I think the team responsible have their hands full with some higher priority device so they left this 95% beta unfinished, this update is big and it is said to give the same performance boost as the lollipop did.
Millions people are affected.. I am not sure they realize that. And they are too much of ***** to release their update on Ota since they do not want to be responsible
Anyone else noticed the August Pie update feels alot more smoother than before? (Stock rooted)

Have you changed the animation to 0.5 or is it pure stock?

If you think that's smooth, then you haven't seen nothing yet... (Android Q Beta 6)

This right here. I had the sound issue on P where the sound would randomly switch from clear to bassy/muffled ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/pixel-3-xl/how-to/semi-perm-fix-patch-random-sound-change-t3919626 ) , so I said enough since it's going to be almost a year, and Google still can't figure out how to fix it (and probably won't since Q is so close to release), so I went to QB6. P was 99.9% perfect for me. Just the sound issue I mentioned. It was buttery smooth, and worked flawlessly. Well being on QB6 for a full day, and using the phone for well over 12 hours, I can say QB6 makes P feel like Android version 5 or lower. Not only does it work flawlessly, but it's even smoother, better battery, better looks, and just overall a better OS. I feel like I just got a new phone.
Its loads better, sleep mode is better, although it takes a bit longer for the phone to fully wake up, and battery is excellent.
Guys, 2 days after the latest August security update my device can't connect to mobile internet. I have already declared it as connectivity interruption issue to my provider, but I was curious to know if someone else is dealing with the same weird problem. I already tried to reset network settings without further success. I could try to factory reset it as a last effort to solve this problem, but somehow I doubt that it will eventually help. Stock device, unmodified.
Just wondering if anybody has heard anything about an official pie update or if a dev is working on something (besides 17.1)... I've been tempted to try that one, but I'm on Alpha Omega 1.3.1 with greenify. I'm getting 24 to 27 hours of battery life on normal use.
Thanks!

Nothing new.
Only variant that got one was the Korean one, LG has a history of delivering late updates to those variants only since Korea seems to be the only market they care about keeping happy.
If anything does pop up it should be on the developer first and even then it took another 2 months for the actual release last time.
Nothing comes up on the variants that I think got it earlier last time.

No one has stepped up about a custom stock Pie update as far as I know, a lot of people here would welcome someone trying
Ever since I updated to 11.1.2.2 people are having trouble calling me, they always say why is your phone unreachable, hence I downgrading.
Anyone here, who can guide me on which version I should go with, where things will be a bit smooth, version 11.0? 10.3.12? 10.3.6? I have used my friend's phone who has 10.3.12 things are definitely better, If anyone can guide me with a stable version, or may be beta version , reliable enough. Thanks.
I would like to update to Android 14 beta, but I use my phone every day. Is it worth upgrading or are there still connection problems and other serious problems? Do all the applications work? I await advice from those who have already made the last update a few days ago. Thank you!
I've been pondering that exact question this week. Thanks for asking on our behalf...
I don't know. I have mixed emotions about it like some of it does work and it works well like all of the new little mods they threw in there and like all the little animations and such. Like I love it all, but I don't know. And some of these bugs like they're little too much. I don't know. I might wait a few weeks and then see how it looks and then decide because as of right now that's a solid no for me
The beta is somewhat stable now. I find some problems with phone calls and lower signal strength than android 13.
No, beta is just for testing. If u have work to do with your phone, stay away from beta
