Salve! I will try to organize in this topic a couple of verified fixes for various GSI bugs found in Xiaomi Mi A2 and Mi 6X (jasmine & wayne).
These fixes should work on every GSI-based image.
I tried them on Pixel Experience GSI and I got fixed some of the issues.
Please test and report!
Front camera flash always on when using it
Fix: add following lines to /system/build.prop:
HTML:
persist.imx376_sunny.low.lux=310
persist.imx376_sunny.light.lux=280
persist.imx376_ofilm.low.lux=310
persist.imx376_ofilm.light.lux=280
Enable VoLTE
Fix: add or modify the following line to /system/build.prop:
HTML:
persist.dbg.volte_avail_ovr=1
Find and install a compatible org.codeaurora.ims.apk for your GSI and reboot twice.
Notification LED always ON
Fix: Reboot twice and wipe cache.
Camera not working or freezing
Fix: Some people reported that camera is broken after flashing 9.0 ROM. What worked for me was to flash stock ROM for Mi A2 or Mi 6X (Android One or MIUI) before flashing any custom ROM or GSI.
Notes:
- Xiaomi Mi 6X (wayne) is similar to Xiaomi Mi A2 (jasmine), but jasmine has A/B partitions and wayne only have A partition.
- As stated in my other threads, rollback protection will be enabled for Xiaomi Mi 6X or Mi A2 (converted) after MIUI Stable V9.6.4.0 / Dev 8.8.6. You can still flash GSI images after those version but you should avoid flashing any MIUI ROM older than those or you'll brick the phone.

Thank you man, I will try this tomorow. Any solution for the fingerprint sensor, and how to check version of FP reader I have?

Bluetooth works just fine for me. The only thing which doesn't it's the headset (calling). Mic and speaker from headset doesn't work but I can connect the device to my car and play music through Bluetooth.
and the infrared?
Any tips on how to setup PE 8.1?
I'm always getting an error that my device is uncertified so it's impossible for me to successfully setup my google account
Edit: PE 9.0 works fine though, but I'd rather use 8.1
I'm not digging the fact you copied and pasted things from here and are seemingly trying to pass it off as your own work. Unless, of course, you're the author of that page.
As I said in my other threads, I do NOT take credits for anything I post here. What I post is what I find.
It's workiiiiiing thanks

Developer Abhishek987 brought full project treble support to Redmi Note 4 (mido), by converting cust partition to vendor partition, and moving HALs from system to there.
Being in similar rom resolution, other mid range devices may support project treble in future too. I'd like to tag recognized developers @brigudav, @karevn, @Razziell, @psykkuno, @unterwelt to look into it.

I face ccouple of problems with that rom.
USB connection keep disconnecting when plugged to the PC/Laptop. (Kernel treat it as AC Charger, so it draws more power from PC/Laptop)
Even though headset attached, sounds will play from speakers.
Official Magisk build not works with that rom. (This work though Link)

It's stated in the thread, you should install the modded TWRP with Treble support and install the modded Magisk version from the Tools section. The download gives 404 on 4pda, I got it from here: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=890129502657599344

Hello,
I notice that there isnt a lot of roms for this phone and maybe this is because this mobile acept treble roms.
Maybe it will be interesting to list the best treble roms in a post.
anyone are playing with the treble roms??
I think this isn't right place to ask that, but for me best is Resurrection Remix with gestures like MIUI, then AOSP, Pixel Experience and Dot OS, better if you ask in general thread.
I think pixel ROM is the best one, but MOKEE has published tonight.
I will try.
Is there any major but on RR guys?

I m reading some post of treble but i cant see what are the principal bugs for our mix2s.
The RR rom seams very interesting. Someone have this rom? any bug?
And someone can tell us the procedure to install a treble rom in our mix2s?
thanks!
I'm using RR Treble ROM and everything works well with the exception of Bluetooth audio. I have to used a wired headset if I want to listen to media through the phone.
Has anyone found a fix for this?

I have flashed open gapps mini, arm64 architecture for android 8.1. that should work
Mokee has problems with encryption from the system.
Sometimes it works and sometimes all apps stop when they start.
I had to run format data in twrp several times.
To the users of treble ROMs on Mi Mix 2S, are there any noticeable hardware features that are not enabled in the GSI ROMs? I know most of the treble ROMs are GSI and it does not support all the hardware features that may be specific to Mi Mix 2S.
The only one I know of so far is the camera is not fully utlised, as GCam can only use of the cameras.

For me there are no such problems. Phone was encrypted from the beginning, from the first time I did the phone setup. But to me it does not really matter, as selinux is permissive, which is far worse IMO

I agree Mokee should have an actual thread, but since it doesn't I wan't to contribute this to the community.
Mokee Nightlies do work, but you'll get a Google crash (in Chinese) right off the bat stopping you from continuing through setup. Go back to TWRP and choose Format Data under Wipe. That will fix this issue.
Next you won't be able to turn on WiFi. Turn off Bluetooth (not sure if this is required), reboot and WiFi will be usuable. You can now turn Bluetooth back on.
The only issue I can see at the moment is SELinux is NOT enforcing. I tried to flip it with the Magisk module but that prevented it from fully booting. There maybe many more issues but I've only had it going for 10 minutes.

Sorry for the naïve question, but is it likely that Xiaomi's face unlock feature can be incorporated within custom ROMs? Presumably they'd have to really honour their commitment to be developer friendly in order to release this, but is it anticipated?

Well... No matter our device is so called "developer friendly". But main thing is "if" AOSP's upstream supports it. For example fingerprint works on custom roms because its api is already available for us,no need to do extra fuss to rewrite the code. But about that face recognition IR sensor

When I try to flash the image on my phone, it only takes a few seconds for it to work (which I find quite suspicious since it's quite heavy) and then when I want to reboot it bootloop once and then go to fastboot mode. Do you have any idea what am I doing wrong? I've tried redownloading the image, extracting it again, flashing it a few times nothing seems to work.

Xiaomi EU and based roms are plagued with low/restricted earphone sound issue, as per EU regulations. This patch fixes that. Just flash in recovery (Orangefox tested) and done.

Ok, yes that is the default way. But then it leads to reflashing lot of other things/changes if done in terms of Magisk, Kernel etc
Any reason, why these changes cannot be done systemlessly via Magisk?

Guess my Q was not clear.
Sudeep, what I wanted to check was that rather than flashing the prop changes via TWRP (as of now), can we not make these changes via Magisk module?
hey can you point me to some answer for my problem
is there any volume we can change for bluetooth mic in mixer path.
my bluetooth headset mic volume is very low and my callers listen very low voice even when speaking loudly and speaking to near mic of headset. its not headset problem coz i checked with 2 other bluetooth headphones too but same problem.
Will it work with mi8 and 20.9.4?
Come on, this device is awesome. Even though it supports project treble I haven't found any that were stable enough to make It thru a whole day without bugs glitches etc. Any thoughts on how to get some developers to support this phone?
