J7 Core 8.1.0 Oreo [SM-J701F] - Samsung Galaxy J7 NXT ( J701F Core NXT Exynos 7870

The official oreo update got released for our beloved device.
Source:

It's only available for these regions ATM and will soon ship on to global variants of J7 Core/NXT devices.

I think it's for the 16gb variant only. I'm not sure about the 32gb variant.

I think that's going to be for a different J7 model. Its annoying how there's 3 different names for the 2017 phone and additionally the 2016 is called J7 as well.

Your phone's region based ROM was PAK and you just flashed this 8.1 stock rom and it worked flawlessly?
If it did then please can you verify by doing, I mean flashing other region stock ROMS you don't void your phone's warrenty? I mean that ugly samsung knox counter etc related s**t

this Oreo 8.1 region of Taiwan works fine for 2ram 16, applied it in Ukraine, works excellently, the battery is stored super. I recommend to use!

I have flashed to Android 8.1 and how do I root this Android 8.1 way?

I mean i am using 2gb version vith single sim which one of them ı can use

Hmm. I wonder if i can port it on the J700F as both are using Exynos 7870 but forget it as im afraid to encrypt the data partition of testers.

Is the camera working fine after installing the Chinese variant rom?
Guys, i have successfully flashed this ROM using MiFlash Tool, but keep in mind that its a china ROM so there were no Play store, Gmail, No Photos app, and also Portrait mode on rear camera lagging a lot, so i would suggest you guys, dont waste your time to flash this rom, and wait for the OTA, there is no drastic changes in this ROM, looks same like how our device was,
its recommended do not flash this ROM, unless you are a developer, its Purely Chinese ROM, you can select language to English but also you will have to side-load all the GApps, dual 4G also not working

I just spoke to one of the top contributors to TWRP that did the Galaxy a8 and he may do the j737. I'm sure if we donate it will give him more of an incentive !

Try building a cf autoroot file for your device and flash it. Make sure frp is disabled. If it fails to flash the bootloader is locked just saying but if it does flash your good. That is always the first test you should do before going for custom roms and recoveries. Update: this phone is so new that it isn't listed on firmware.mobi

Please give us more details. I suppose will be through local update but what version of pie will be installed? If I have an EU phone (BA) will turn it to AA?
I was on AA OB2 and it returned me to 21AA. I don't really know if it works the same for BA, but there is just one downgrade package.
After rollback, just boot .70 twrp, then flash it then magisk as usual?
I'm downloading the package, do I install it vía local update on the phone or using twrp?

Currently on 10.0.GM21AA, will Let you know what it Is after de downgrade
I'd like to know the same actually. Android 10 is not as smooth and the battery life is subpar.
All versions rollbacK or downgrade for local improvement, leave the terminal AA and because there is no difference between hardware or just software (only equalizer with 8 bands in AA) and there is only one rollback version and logically leaves the terminal in the most extended version that is the international . That is my experience so far with all rollbacK versions, except with the last one I saw in thread [MENTION=230517]Funk Wizard For the stable version of the shift
To move from AA to BA stock it is necessary to do it with the very simple tool msm Dowland. Salud2!
