I'm currently using the XFL2V-U-MBLACK by V-MODA also known as the Crossfade LP2 Vocal Limited Edition (Over-Ear, Noise-Isolating, Metal Headphones).
They are pretty comfortable and come with 2 cables on with mic and the other with out, Great for listening with the Dac on the V30+

I'm using these are crazy! sound full of details, full-bodied and round bass.

Sennheiser PXC550.
Mostly on BT connection but also on wired. Amazing sound with the QuadDAC when using cable.
Bought in Norway, so here's the link to Sennheiser official page:

Klipsch 11i

Sennheiser HD485's, had for well over a decade and not far off replacing, but crazy comfortable.
Shure SE215's, decent sounding, comfortable, low profile so you can wear them while lying on your side, easy to listen to, and really good noise attenuation for noisy environments. Brought in New Zealand so link would be useless.
KZ AS-10 - Cheap Chinese balanced armature IEMS. I own about 8 different sets of KZs and these are the best so far, well balanced and incredibly detailed headphones, without the sibilance and harsh treble of KZs other models. Purchased from Aliexpress: https://bit.ly/2Qd2hHo
KZ ZS6 - Much deeper bass response than the AS-10s, but harsh treble for music like rock or metal, I use these for electronic music. Purchased from aliexpress, same as above.
The SE215s were my go to when out of the house, with the HD485s the rest of the time, but the AS10s have taken over for most uses now.

i am using sony ex150 ap bought from Amazon

I never thought I say this but... I'm rockin beats studio 3, but I don't use them wireless because I prefer wired the hifi system of the phone works awesome... Don't have a link because I bought them from 2nd hand for a really good price

KZ ZS10 4+1 hybrid it's a little tricky to drive on my S7, Volume is not quite high even when maxxed out, on V30 it's much better fuller bass and 60% volume is already loud.
KZ had overpowered treble sibilance since the zs5 series which can get tiring if I pair it with V30, but they fixed it in this edition. Bought mine from AliExpress but i guess you can buy it on amazon.

Rose gold V moda crossfade 2 wireless.
Had them imported as they weren't available in the UK at the time

Pioneer SE-CH9T, bought in a local music store. I bought it to replace a pair of Shure SE215s that just developed a broken cable for the second time (the original Shure replacement cable that I bought lasted about 2 years, while the cable that originally came with the headphones lasted for more than 4). They are about the same price as the SE215s (slightly less than 100€), but they sound so much better! They're louder, clearer and have more bass. I'm really loving them.
You should be able to get them just about everywhere (Amazon should have them all around the world).

Shipping was much quicker than I expected, a week or 2. They sound good to me, about 50 percent volume is loud enough for me.
I got the 150 ohm version because they are cheap and wasn't sure how well the V30 would drive high impedance, low efficiency phones. Next time I'll get the 320 ohm version for $75cad.

Flc8s
I bought them for their modibility. I was torn, I didn't want to buy a pair of "expensive" iems only to not like them. I figured I might be able to tune them to what I think at least sounds acceptable for the amount of money I paid. They do actually sound great. I haven't had buyers remorse at all. Plus, my nerdiness allows me to tinker with them, which I like.

I'm using Vinic Hearable http://en.vinci.im/1.5/
Amazon https://www.amazon.com/VINCI-Vinci-Hearable-Classic-White/dp/B072JZGB5W

I have the Audio Technica M50X ... it can handle any setting Viper4audio produced ... just amazing... with thundering bass you can feel the cups vibrate in and out of your ears . In Australia it is about $200 at JB Hifi or music specialist store.

Thanks for reporting.
150 ohm, that's high.
Why are you getting the 320 ohm version?
What do you expect to be better?
I would like to replace my Sennheiser cx-500i with ones that will activate the DAC

These headphones activate the quad dac and the phone easily drives them past what I can listen to.
I don't know exactly what happens with higher Ohm headphones, I think there is an improvement in bass. I won't get them soon, I have 2 sets of earbuds and a pair of Fidelio X2. I'm good for awhile.
Edit to add: here's an article on the difference between high and low impedance. https://www.cnet.com/news/headphone...d-to-know-about-low-vs-high-impedance-models/

Thanks for the link. I think its a case of the more I find out the less I know (cue for a song)
Interesting stuff though.
I didn't know that you could actually buy a pair of headphones for $55000 (sennheiser orpheus ) possibly OTT even for the V30+...
Let us know how (if?) the 320 ohm ones sound.
EDIT: According to this they might not work properly

Searching for In-Ear Headphones

Hello People =)
I don´t like the Original Headphones for my lovely Diamond... so now I´m searchin for In - Ear Headphones. Much better sound and much more comfotable, I think.
So, now I´m searching for them
Any Ideas? Expirience?
Greetings to all of you =)
trying for quite some time. Dont see any in the stores. But adapters are there to give a 3.5mm interface. you can find them in amazon or wmstore or just google.
downside is you cant use the FM (atleast in my case)
well u can head over to head-fi.org and read up from all the headphone people there.
Adapters are a quite good idea...
I´ve seen some Bluetooth adapters to. But they are from Sony Erricsson. Ithink i will take a look for them
Sony ones are awesome for me.
First had MDL EX91, then EX71, then moved onto panasonic ones and now back to Sony (one of the newer cheaper models).
All in-ear earphones from Sony seem to sound the same. It's just the design that varies.
If your're into bass, listening to alot of electronic music and stuffs.. go for it.
get an adapter and check out the Sennheiser ones (MX500 etc), superb sound and the noise reduction is actually amazing.

Google the MM200s (soon to be released) - stereo 'goodness' plus handsfree!!
TShill7
FM-radio won't work with adapter??
If you use an adapter FM works as usual.
Perhaps other poster meant for A2DP headphones.
Using a proper headphone with adapter makes a lot difference compared to the bundled headphones.

I din't like the HTC Ear Phones, So I made one for myself. and disabled the call button press that was built in to it , and soldered a small pcb with filter which I got from an old walkman (the small box thing) and added a small magnetic filter in it, and now It works flawlessly and sounds richer using a full headset.
you'll need the 3.5mm adaptor thingy...
but in terms of the actualy headphones themselves, it depends on what type of "sound" you're looking for. if you want bass rich ones then look no further than the sony's.
but if you want a clean, flat and authentic reproduction of sound then look no further than the Ultimate Ears super-fi. i use them as a musician and they are frickin awesome
HTC Phones:
- bad sound quality
- not confortable
- long...long...long cable, 1m60!
-it'not really practical to put them in your pocket and spend 30 sec playing with the knots
So here's what I've done with my HTC Phones:
For instance I solved the last two problems.
-open the mic plastic small case the one where is writted HTC
- cut 2 wires: the one that came from the plug, and the one from the longest head phone.
-cut the yellow glue wits a cutter
- take the small circuit out
- with a small solderind iron (20W is more than enough) unsold the cables you have just cutted
- prepare the cables to be soldered
- attention: these cables have a resine so you have to put them in acid (acetone is not enough) or withe a small cutter try to scrath gentli the wires.
- sold the wires back to the small electronic circuit, and mount the mic.
That's it, I have a smaller cable that is realy easy to use and the number of knots when I put it in the pocket is reduced by 4
The best in-ear headphpnes are made by:
Shure
Ultimate Ears
Etymotic Research
Some less expensive but still rather good models are made by:
Jays
Denon
Sennheiser
I would *not* recommend Sony or any other common consumer brand. The threshold of usability starts around $50, and gets a lot better through $100-$150. The upper end units are $200-$500. I have a pair of Denons at about $90 that have good audio, are rugged, and comfortable. However, the quality difference using some of the more expensive Shure's is quite noticable. NOTE! For this style, fit is EVERYTHING. No fit, no bass. Experiment with different earseals.
Have a look at the Sleek Audio adjustable SA6, with the Kleer wireless unit coming up.
I'm with DrewVS on this. I have some Shure e2c's
I use them for both my Ipod and Diamond via the HTC > 3.5mm connector which I picked up offline for about £3 / $5.
The Shure's, with the various isolating earpieces that you can fit to your ear canal perfectly are quite possibly the best around in terms of voice reproduction. The Bass maybe a bit light, but seeing that I'm not a bass head, and like (female) vocals, the e2c's fit the bill perfectly and make the sound from the Diamond using Pocket Player better than my Ipod...
A little expensive... but you pay for what you get. Anything cheaper than these... or the wrong side of some decent Sony's and you're cutting back on the sound quality significantly...
IMO of course...

generally ipod sounds bad... look good tho.
i really recommend e2c, they mayb dont fit all ears but if they fit they will stay there not come out cuz a little accidently pull and isolates u from the background noise extremly good. My e2c just broke after 3 years of use... the cable has the tendency of dry out and crack open.
but still they are very good.
I suggest the CX500 - Try this chap:http://shop.ebay.co.uk/merchant/projector_outlet
I have bought off him. Then use the HTC controller thing: http://www.htcaccessorystore.com/uk/p_htc_item.aspx?i=166221
These work very well together.
I hope this helps....
Will
Just go to www.dv247.com and check out their range, an idea of quality would be the price bracket:
£1-£30 - Crap
£30-£100 - Reasonable
£100+ - Very Good
If money is not an issue then I would go for the Shure's they are about £160, can't quite remember their model number.
My personal opinion, however, would be to get a proper set of cans, they always produce a better sound and can be made less intrusive with the design of Bose nosie reducing.
If you want real clarity then DT770's all the way! More or less studio standards!

Just to add WESTONE that used to make the best earphone (editors choice on earphonesolutions.com)
I had sony's earphones then etymotics er6-i then shure e2c, e4c then Westone UM2
for less than 50 dollars go for sony cause there is a gap in the quality compared to orginal htc's
for about 100 dollars go for Shure e2c. It's in my opinion the best you can get for that price
for 300 dollars don't hesitate and go for Westone UM2. I'm in love with it since the first day i put it in my ear......sound is outstanding....huge bass....deep bass......crystal treble........they are 119 dB so you can push the volume far and don't need to put the volume to high on the phone
Hope i helped you

There are many different models and designs of cheap headphones that are available in market. These headphones will allow you to listen to all of your music in privacy. Cheap headphones are just discount rates and not the one with low quality. These headphones are affordable especially for them who is looking for low budget.
Headphone recommendation
I got a pair of Skullcandy Titan that are decent headphones with a mic built in. The button on the mic lets you answer calls and skip tracks on the music player and sound quality is OK although you need to experiment with the different tips to get a good fit.
They are on offer from Play.com for about £14

I'm having to borrow my brother's 3GS headphones atm, as they have a mic, and like you all my headsets with mics are broken
They sound terrible, bass drowns out everything else.
I bought a pair of Sony in-ear buds in a Tesco sale, should have been 25, mine for 9 quid HMV do a nice colourful (they come in black too) range of in ear buds, radiopaq I think there called, tenner brand new, I used them all summer was very happy with them
If you need a mic, you could try getting a Galaxy S headset off of eBay, there supposed to be very good, in-ear again so hardly any sound leakage, compared to others that is
I've been using the same Sennheiser CX300s for about 4 years now and they were the greatest investment ever
AU$70 and I still use them with my laptop and phone.
Unfortunately finding the old first series ones are hard and apparently the CX300 IIs sounds crap in comparison. However Sennheiser do have similar models with built-in mic now which would be more suited to phone use
Zagg Earphones by a long shot... they have the best sound quality and are extremely durable.

Very nice headset, and great audio quality. The controls are hit and miss. I'm running Oxygen Test ROM so i don't know if this has any bearing on the interface between the headset and device.
The play/pause works fine. As does skip track. But the volume up/down doesn't and neither does previous track. Making and accepting calls works a treat.
I wonder if there's any app that can assign buttons to tasks on android?
Nokia BH-214 - 100% compatible, good quality, bought it for 25 euro.

Help Pls Req:-Cheap htc one S in ear (buds) headphones with mic and working remote ?

Hi Alllll , just got my new htc one S a few days ago , great phone , very happy etc , but the headphones that come with the phone would be great if they where ear bud / in ear type......ideally i would like a decent quality pair for around £5.00 - £10.00 with mic and remote suitable for working with my new phone
I have tried my old samsung galaxy 1 headphones , but alas the sound echo's , the mic works and the remote....
Any reccomendations welcomed but please ideally tried and tested
I take it your in the UK? If so for the price range your looking at your not going to get the sound quality you want or deserve for music.
Have a look in Argos for code 514/6062 (KitSound KS1 Colours In Ear Headphones With Mic - Black) for £15. My choice for your price range would be a trip to eBay for a set of HTC ear phones with Mic.

Hi Yes , i am in the uk thank you , its a shame the kitsound dont quote a remote , as i would like to use for hands free when i recieve a call.
As I posted, its down to your price range. Even if you where to get around £30-40 you would get a decent set with the functions that you require. A friend has a set but is away on holidays at the moment, when he returns I'll get some info on them for you and post it.

At £10.00 your choices will be pretty limited. I suggest using an app like JAYS Headset Control with a single button set instead of one with a more functional remote.
I settled on a pair of Brainwavz M4 with mic for under £20. There's also the ebay Skullcandy store that has mic'd sets starting at under £7. But I suspect my choices and prices are a little better here in the US.
Have to bump this thread, also need something fairly cheap that has decent remote. Not really audiophile, just need my headphones occasionally for in-car use, so no point in spending £50. So £20 is probably my max. Any suggestions appreciated.

Haha nothing wrong if you're buying cheap goods. I wouldn't buy any of their more expensive stuff though.
Hi guys, I'd also like to ask for some advice on a decent headphone set with a remote that actually has more than 1 button and works on the One S. I live in Germany though, so it should preferably be something that's available here or at least deliverable and cheap to import. I'd like to set the price limit to 20€, but if you really mean nothing with a decent quality can be found for that little, I might consider going up to 30€. Thanks a lot!

But if you guy want a good pair of headphone with only 1 button ( can do "play/pause/next song") then this is might be the best

If one's in the looking for something not that expensive, but still with a reasonable level of quality - search no more:
http://www.expansys.com/htc-smart-3-5mm-wired-headset-with-flat-cable-white-rc-e190-222183/
The RC E190 will work just fine, they are of decent build quality and the sound it's OK.
I must confess that I'm not what you would call a connoisseur or good judge of the sound quality, but the headset it's at least at the level of Sonny Ericsson models, and they look good too.
The link that I've recommend is to a major re-seller of HTC accessories (not only).
The JVCs looked perfect until I noticed the "remote" doesn't have volume control. The reviewer said it, wtf is this for a remote? Seems I'll be going the JAYS App way, although that still sounds cumbersome in comparison to at least 3 hardware keys...

What's your budget?
For ear buds, anything under $50 won't have too much difference.
Don't get skull candy or beats, they are over priced crap.

I was thinking anything cheaper than S4a that comes close performance wise so that's $69-0 range.
I was hoping to come up with a decent list for people. Then I can sort it neatly on the first post.
I don't see much sense in putting in the big bucks for Monster or Shure just for your similarly priced ($350) phone, but I might include those too for the extravagant I guess.
http://www.amazon.com/JVC-HAF150B-H...=UTF8&qid=1352988603&sr=1-1&keywords=JVC+Gumy
those are the best "investment" I ever made in headphones. It's actually the ones I'm most satisfied with !
Anyway I saw on a review on a French site that the phone is coming with headphones
Theoritically, the best earphones should complement the frequency response of the N4, which we don't know yet. I'm still waiting on GSMArena's review and their RMAA test results.

Until Google confirm this I'll keep adding buds.
Those in the link look comfy, not to sure about the sound quality though.

If you are considering a $69 S4, might as well add a little bit to get a Shure SE215 for around $100~$120. The sound quality is much better than S4.
http://www.amazon.com/Shure-SE215LT...qid=1352999128&sr=1-6&keywords=shure+earphone
It's not too expensive but provide very good quality. If you spend any money for earphones under S4, it would be a waste because majority of those earphones are just mass produced generic ones with their own label slapped on.
Trust me, I own almost $800 worth of headphones so I think I have fair share of insight into that.

No offense here but after you try a real good set of headphones, those cheap ones just sound garbage.
I used to buy those under $10 headphones all the time but then I spent some real money on a true mid-fi, hi-fi set, I can never go back to the cheap headphones anymore.
Well I'm looking for in-ear phones that have mic and controls. As we don't know which one is gonna work with the N4 I will wait a little bit longer.
Correct me if I'm wrong.
I will be purchasing Klipsch Image S4 in ear headphones. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001V9LPT4/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&seller=

Cellphone uses standard 3.5mm headphone jacket, it doesn't matter what brand or whom the phone is from.
Shure is a very dedicated audio products company which mostly make high quality audio equipment. It may be a pricey at first glance but trust me, in audio world, that's just entry level. But they are very durable and the sound quality is just great.
If you have tight budget, you can get a Klipsch S4 one which is cheaper but still good quality,
http://www.amazon.com/Klipsch-S4i-Premium-Noise-Isolating-3-Button/dp/B00264GYMG
The last thing you want to get are the cheap $10 ones. They simply are not worth it.

I know, it's not expensive for good audio equipment. I'm just worried about Mic and Controls .. I sometimes heard about other headphones that controls don't work and stuff like that. So I'm looking for one that's working with the N4 for sure.

Hmm usually for those, mic and volume control are fine because they are standard input/output. Usually if there's something wrong, it's the fwd/play/rwd buttons. But you can try anyway, Amazon has 30 day return policy. If it doesn't work, they won't charge you for restocking and return shipping fee.

Anyone know any good in ears headphones to go with the v10?

Since they dont give us the Quadbeat 3 tuned by AKG when we buy the v10 in the U.S, Im looking for a good pairs of in-ears headphones to take the advantage of the DAC in the v10. Im thinking about buying the Quadbeat 3 tuned by AKG but it's like $50 and I dont know if it is fake or not and sound quality and stuff. Therefore, If anyone know any pair of in ears headphones (or even on ears/over ears) that is around $70 or below and have good sound quality, pls give me some info about it, or just leave the name of the headphones. Thanks for helping me out.
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B013W...C_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=sennheiser+in+ear I had these right here they were the best pair I had I even got them wet and they still lasted. I gave them to my fiance I'm not sure what she did with them.
You can't go wrong with a pair of Ultimate Ears UE500's. For the $45 that Amazon is asking, they are phenominal! InMotion Entertainment sells these for $79.99. Don't be fooled by the reviews. These take awhile to burn in. Best part is you can even purchase the Comply foam inserts for them (which I HIGHLY recommend!!)
http://www.amazon.com/Logitech-Ulti...455080235&sr=8-1&keywords=ultimate+ears+ue500
with the headphones mentioned above, are you able to skip tracks with the vol +/- buttons? currently using the in-ear headphones that came with my note 3 or 4... i can only pause and change volume.
I have Bose Sound Sport Galaxy version and it works 100%.

I agree, mi offers 3 different version from old version to new version, all at very affordable price with the sound quality that matches iem that doubles or trible their prices.
I use the first 2 everyday
i have the version without the mic but these get pretty good reviews and they sound excellent. they also are pretty flat sounding.

I got these on sale for $25. You can find them for around $50 now. They used to retail for around $100 so they're still a steal now. they are pretty bass heavy but it doesn't drown out anything else. if bass is your thing I haven't heard any in ears that hit heavier than these:

If that's what you'd like to think, but no one here or elsewhere is going to agree with you. My Sennheiser CX 300 II's that I got on sale for $30 and also the Symphonized NRG's I got for Christmas that were $25 will both whoop the crap out of that Skullcandy garbage. Not to mention the Panasonic HJE120's that you can find for under $10 are even better than what you have. Next you'll be saying your Beats are the be all end all.

Headphones for V10
I am using these since I received my V10 and they sound amazing. dual drivers in each side, very good sound stage for earbuds, excellent bass, good image separation also. The V10 as a source really make these shine too with the DAC. They are out of the 70$ budget but i Use these as much if not more than my Fidelio X2s which I also love. (early model Woox X2s, not glued pads, semi controversial, "Gibson" X2s.) I would recommend moire than anything if you're serious about it to try some locally first as everyone's opinion about headphones is different. just my .02 cents
