[Q] Purchased Xperia Z3 D6603 International unlocked

Hey all
I have purchased Sony Xperia Z3 D6603 International factory unlocked from Amazon.com ... i am currently using it with AT&T network and everything is fine like calls and LTE.
1. But when ever i boot the device i see Tmobile logo and few preinstalled Tmobile apps... is it bcoz i purchased it from amazon instead of directly from sony or what could be the reason.
2. Bcoz of that Tmobile logo at startup will the lollipop update depends on carrier or not.
Please let me know.
Thanks & Regards,
Kishore.
That is not international version. It is a t-mobile branded. It is propably from germany market.
Lollipop update depend from t mobile (Germany?)
But you can flash a non branded firmware with flashtool
True the device is from Germany.. Seller told that to me when i asked about warranty.
Now my question is if i purchase the same device from sony directly will that also come with tmobile branding? I see that Sony selling d6603 factory unlocked in US website.
Thanks and regards,
Kishore Kumar.
The D6603 is an unlocked version which is not t-mobile branded. The D6616 is the t-mobile branded version.
The German T-Mobile is a D6603 and you can flash any (generic) ftf for this model to get rid of the branding.

I have flashed the device with D6603_23.1.A.0.690_Customized_US.ftf... i see the option Hi-Res audio via USB is missing under audio settings also the punch feel of the front speakers has reduced slightly ... rest all working fine .. what could be the issue ? btw i did not check anything under wipe or exclude while flashing the device.
Thanks & Regards,
Kishore Kumar.
Might be an effect of upgrading to Lollipop ?...

Galaxy S7 duos 4g/lte mhz???

Hi everybody.
I'm from Italy. In Italy we haven't got galaxy s7 in dual sim version, but i need it.
I can buy it outside Europe, through e-commerce. The problem is that the seller doesn't know the precise code of the model, he only knows that is dual sim and sim free. I would to know if there are different models of galaxy s7 duos sim free, and what are the 4g/lte frequency, to understand if it's compatible with italian sim operators.
Thank you.

There are 2 that i know of.
SM-G930FD - This is the "European" model, u can install Single Sim ROM and Dual sim will work ( faster updates from samsung )
SM-G9300 - Chinese / Vietnam version , no Google Play and some Chinese apps .
About bands, read on those 2 pages
Thank you a lot.
We waiting for other utents if they know other versions.
A question: what means "u can install Single Sim ROM and Dual sim will work"? Is it necessary to change ROM to use the telephone?

No, i just did it because mine came with CSC for Nigeria. I choose an rom for XEU ( UK/Ireland Unbranded ) because they receive updates faster then others, and is closer to me then Nigeria ^^
ok, i understand.
Is this procedure invalidate warranty?

How to Enable VoLTE

Hi guys. Just now received the XZP and I'm very excited about it. I want to know whether this mobile support volte. If it supports, then how can I enable it? There is not any options to enable it. I brought this mobile in dubai and I am using it in india. Here a network named jio supports volte. So could you please help me guys? How to enable it?
Dual sim or single sim?
It supports VoLTE in various regions and providers.
With single sim version i do not see Indian providers in modem configuration list and no Indian region firmware.
If you have dual sim model, then maybe you have luck with flashing Indian firmware https://xpericheck.com/cda/1308-6241 (i hope my assumption is correct that Customised IN refers to India)
I have not digged into dual sim firmware yet, so cannot guarantee it for you.
Please use search in XZ and other sony forums to know how flashing sony firmwares works. Too long and complicated to write it out here.
Also, ask from JIO if they plan adding support for XZ Premium. This will indicate if you would get VoLTE with Indian region firmware.

Yes I am using the dual sim version. Is there no other way I can enable it without flashing the firmware? Or should I wait for the next OTA update?
Flashing the correct region firmware is the simplest solution.
Also currently there is no other known method.
If you have UAE region firmware then OTA update will not enable VoLTE for other regions.
I have now checked the firmware that i previously shared. There is special modem configurations in DS for Indian providers...
amss_fsg_maple_dsds_airtel_in_ims_tar.mbn
amss_fsg_maple_dsds_reliance_com_in_ims_tar.mbn
amss_fsg_maple_dsds_reliance_jio_in_ims_tar.mbn
Also the oem bit will tell phone which configuration to load.
So i think you would be good to get VoLTE if you flash https://xpericheck.com/cda/1308-6241

3 UK firmware flashing options...

I have an XZ Premium (G8141) from the 3UK network. I want to use it in the US, likely as a WiFi only device. I want to flash the firmware to remove the 3UK branding. Trying to decide the best option. I don't really care about the fingerprint sensor working or not. If I did decide to use it on a mobile network it would be TMobile US.
I downloaded XperiFirm and for the G8141 there are a number of "Customized" options. If I went this way I imagine I would go with the Customized CE1 or UK version right? That would remove network customization and be a stock Sony firmware?
In the G8142 section there is a Customized US firmware. Is flashing this an option to get a US based firmware? What would be the negative side of doing this?
I appreciate any input. Thank you!

The only difference between the two customised versions is that the US one will have the fingerprint reader disabled.
Any customised firmware build will work, removing the 3UK logo, but avoid the US version if you use fingerprint unlock
Thank you for the response! Another question, are the Customized firmwares official Sony ones?

It will never work properly here (UK) as it's Qualcomm snap dragon and it was build for a different region.
You can attempt to install different firmware from UK or EU but it's really just luck if you get it to work or not.
To get wifi calling to work you will need to flash unbranded firmware, either BTU (UK) or XAS (USA). Even when you flash US unbranded as i said earlier it will not be fully functional in this region as it does not have the required hardware.

Yes if you want to use it in the UK.
Carriers in the US, T Mobile (US), Vodafone (US) etc DO NOT use the same connection standard as Vodafone, T mobile, UK. It is essential you understand this. There is no advantage to flashing UK network branded firmware, unbranded will give you all available connection options but not 100%.

I will give it a go. Do you know where I will find the filmware? been looking but can't find it
SamFirm tool is a good way to get the most recent firmware files from samsung servers directly.
Otherwise it's firmware rehosts like sammobile or updato
