It will never work properly here (UK) as it's Qualcomm snap dragon and it was build for a different region.
You can attempt to install different firmware from UK or EU but it's really just luck if you get it to work or not.
To get wifi calling to work you will need to flash unbranded firmware, either BTU (UK) or XAS (USA). Even when you flash US unbranded as i said earlier it will not be fully functional in this region as it does not have the required hardware.

Yes if you want to use it in the UK.
Carriers in the US, T Mobile (US), Vodafone (US) etc DO NOT use the same connection standard as Vodafone, T mobile, UK. It is essential you understand this. There is no advantage to flashing UK network branded firmware, unbranded will give you all available connection options but not 100%.

I will give it a go. Do you know where I will find the filmware? been looking but can't find it

SamFirm tool is a good way to get the most recent firmware files from samsung servers directly.
Otherwise it's firmware rehosts like sammobile or updato

[Q] Will flashing my device with a carrier firmware lock my device?

I have an unlocked P6200 and i was planning on flashing it with a specific carrier version of the latest firmware for the Philippines so that I could get to have my Kies to work again. The Philippines doesn't have an open version like Austria so i'm a bit worried. Will upgrading to a specific carrier firmware lock my device to that network?
BTW, I currently have the first version of the Austrian firmware running on my device.

SM-G930V or SM-G930P ?

Hello, I bought S7 in internet. It was sold to me as Verizon version (SM-G930V). Actual software (G930VVRU2APB5) means that it's Verizon version indeed, but IMEI check shows that it's Sprint version (SM-G930P)... So I have few questions about this situation:
1. Is it bad that box and phone says that it's Verizon but IMEI says that it's Sprint? What may it cause in future? Or maybe phone is not original? Download mode works and Antutu checked confirms that it's original...
2. I wanted to upgrade my soft but how to do that? Update function shows me error while downloading so I wanted to do it via Odin but again - which version should I download? The latest from Verizon or Sprint?...
3. I live in Europe - will this phone work in our network? I mean 4G etc
My 930P has been flashed with 930V, 930A, 930T1,and 930U firmware all snapdragons are universal in that they can be flashed with all other USA carriers firmware

930U is unlocked and debloated firmware but gets updated less frequently. The rest is really up to you on which bloat you prefer. If you are wanting to root I'd suggest 930V

Use Firmware Of A Different Model

Hi,
I have a S8+ with the model SM-G955FD and was wondering if I am able to download the firmware for the model SM-G955F?
The phone was purchased outside of Australia and doesn't use the Australian (Telstra) firmware that I would like it to. I just figured they are the same phone just different model numbers so there shouldn't be any issues right? I might just lose a couple features or something but the phone should work correctly?
Thanks in advance.
Yea, the G955FD is the dual SIM Exynos variant, right?
I'm sure the dual SIM uses the same firmware as the single SIM, so you should have no worries flashing Aussie firmware.
But I would suggest you flash the XSA (Aussie unbranded) firmware, not Telstra firmware. You'll lose nothing, but you'll get faster updates.

I'm using Metro PCS service on a Singapore XSP and experiencing some terrible 4G service. Is there anything I can do about this, looked perhaps flash smother CSC onto my 955FD?

The phone will work pretty much fine provided
1 - Exact Same hardware . you can use snapdaragon ROMs on Snapdragon Devices and vice versa for Exynos .
2 - Same network Bands supported . The ROM contains the programs on how to operate in different frequencey bands .
If i helped you , hit the thanks button !

Here's the XSA (Australia) firmware:
http://updato.com/firmware-archive-select-model?record=0C53FCC1D0CA11E7A5F9FA163EE8F90B
Flash it. Doesn't matter if your device is G955F or FD, the ROMs are exactly the same.
Does the method works with G955J SCV35 model? I'm running NTDocomo firmware on KDDI model to unlock network (single SIM) . I wan't to flash unlocked U firmware but getting scared that the phone will be bricked.

no WCDMA

Hello everyone,
I'm facing a problem with my galaxy s7 when I lock it into WCDMA only I got no network at all , but it works fine on 2G and 4G .
I flashed it with different firmwares but no solution .
Currently I'm using the original firmware
What model is the phone and where are you located?
As the international model (F/FD) and US models (V/T/P) have a different modem and only the US models can access certain radio networks in the US, and I don't believe US model phones have full band coverage outside the US.
So if you're using the international model in the US, or a US model outside of the US you will have coverage issues.

Have you tried flashing with Odin using all 4 files (BL,AP,CP,CSC) that match your country and carrier?

Question Flip 3 5G F711U1; XAA => INU

I have got a Samsung Flip3 US unlocked version. Have been using it outside US with and Indian SIM card from last few months without any hiccups. With Samsung Pay working as well.
Now, with the release of 5G services here in India, I'm not sure the bands that Indian operators use are unlocked or not in this. Jio (Indian service provider) says that you're using a non-5G device.
So, I was wondering if I flash an INU firmware to my device. Will it unlock the bands and also let me get OTAs from Samsung? Maybe if someone here did this already?
(According to Jio, this phone is compatible with their 5G network. Also, checked on gsmarena, the international version has the bands that JIO supports.) Since the chipset in international and US is same, I suppose the bands are already there in the device.
Thanks in advance for your help and comments.
Hi Jatin, I don't think flashing your US flip 3 with IND firmware, will fix your problem. The IND firmware is for the F711B model, you are on the F711U1 model. I would not try that. A lot of the F7711B firmware are multi-CSC, but not for the U1 model.
Thanks for the reply, @slysurfer.
I was thinking that since both F711B and F711U1 share the same chipset (Snapdragon 888), the F711B firmware drivers will work on F711U1.
I read some other posts in here (on XDA itself) in which someone with an EUX variant flashed INU firmware to it. Not sure the EUX variant is multi-CSC or not.

Yes, the EUX variant is multi-CSC (to a degree) I can flash any firmware from Europe to South East Asia, but as mentioned we can't flash any firmware from US/Canada.
Big >IF< you can OEM unlock the bootloader you can install twrp and disable the vbmeta and flash a U firmware over a U1 phone and visa versa. But even if you can do all of that it probably still won't work. Personally I'd take it to my local mobile phone stall and see if they can do it.
Thankyou @beanbean50 for your answers.
Sorry for the noob question, . Earlier when Samsung used to release 2 different hardware versions of the same phone like one with Exynos and other with Snapdragon, flashing the other region ROM was not possible.
So, I was just wondering, since both the regions (US & South East Asia) has the exactly same hardware, the networks bands in both of these must only be software locked. Thus, since the US version already has the hardware, can't simply flashing a different region ROM should work.
Again, if there are some other locks that prevent this, it's not possible to flash. Just like if on paper both devices are same, the only difference they have is, they are released in different region.
Also, I checked, both are also manufactured in the Vietnam.

There is not OEM unlocking in under developer options. I have through other posts and things on how to unlock. I suppose it can't be unlocked in a straightforward like F711B can be.
I suppose this is the hard-stop that cleared my doubts.
Thanks one again, @beanbean50 for your time and answers. Really appreciated!!
P.S.: If you or someone you know have some experience unlocking a US snapdragon Samsung device bootloader, please do share. I might have to consider unlocking bootloader in the future.
