Is there a good dialer replacement that support video call ?
(since oneplus dialer doesn't seem to support video call )
I get few minutes free bundled from my internet plan.
For me in India, there's a video calling icon right next to the mobile number of the contact, although it can only be done using my VoLTE enabled Jio sim.

It doesn't matter what kind or strength of signal I have (top reception on 3G or H), I can't make video calls - I just get told the phone can't make the call (and I'm calling a phone that can receive video calls and has the same reception too). I'm on T-Mobile UK - any ideas if I have a faulty phone or there's some other issue I haven't thought of? Cheers!
have you asked t-mobile to activate video calling on your account?
Log into the my t-mobile website and check your activations in the 'review plan and allowances' link.
Once you're in there, make sure that video calling is ticked under 'additional services'
Mine wasn't by default. being that hardly anyone uses it in the uk, they don't seem to activate it automatically anymore.
After enabling VoLTE on my maxx, I lost the ability to use Caller Name ID.
I miss it and was wondering if there are any apps available on the PlayStore that would restore similar functionality. I'm looking for a fully integrative experience - showing caller ID *name* on the incoming call screen, call history, etc
Unrelated, but I when I enable VoLTE, if I'm on a call using speaker, eventually the call boots me off speaker and goes back to the handset earpiece. Every call, eventually. Not at a specific call time, but if it's over 15 or 20 minutes it will. Disable VoLTE, problem gone.
Sent from my DROID Maxx
I'm just curious what advantage is seen by VoLTE on the Maxx, which can do voice and data on LTE without VoLTE anyway and won't drop calls when you leave LTE, as Advanced Calling will. Is it the voice quality?
Yeah, improved sound quality (but only when speaking with another VoLTE user).
I'm now on the Droid Turbo so this is even more critical as it doesn't have both radios and can't do simultaneous voice/data if I don't enable VoLTE. I installed the Whitepages Caller ID app and it seems to be an OK workaround. Not as good as the one Verizon loaded (that one integrates much better with the OS) but it'll get me by....

You can make video calls only to jio numbers not other network.
Reeeju is right. stock dialer has no video call option
&
Jio4GVoice app doesnt allow Calling function as a whole (Voice/Video) on handsets that support VoLTE
So handsets like Moto G3, which has VoLTE support BUT no Video Calling, is left out
I have got a official CC reply from JIO regarding this.

Hello Everyone thanks for you contribution
here i have a problem due a stubborn brand VIVO.
I want to know how to remove the default dialer so that I can perform a video call through that phone.
company provides 4G VoLTE voice call support but no video calling support.
A third party app provided by telecom operator Jio JIO 4G also can't become default dialler as the stock dialler has VoLTE support for Voice.
To my surprise I could not find the native video calling in the call section usually present in all the volte phones, it's only the 3rd party apps which can be used to make video calls and also needs mobile network or WiFi for calling. Is there any workaround for this to activate native video calling .

EXACLY. Big & surprising oversight by ASUS. I hope they fix it in upcoming OTA. If not solved, this problem can be dealbreaker for many potential 6Z customers.
