Native video calling - ASUS ZenFone 6 (2019) Questions & Answers

To my surprise I could not find the native video calling in the call section usually present in all the volte phones, it's only the 3rd party apps which can be used to make video calls and also needs mobile network or WiFi for calling. Is there any workaround for this to activate native video calling .

EXACLY. Big & surprising oversight by ASUS. I hope they fix it in upcoming OTA. If not solved, this problem can be dealbreaker for many potential 6Z customers.

sip call on 3G

I'd like to have the Internet Calling Feature available through 3G Networks
using the stock rooted firmware.. is that possible and how to do
there is some one who stated that
config_sip_wifi_only --to--> false into framework-res APK will fix it but how to modify it?
Thank you
Enabling SIP Call over 3G is the main reason i was into Cyanogenmod 7.0.2
but now i'm in Stock2.3.4 version because of the GTalk video call feature which works perfectly..

Try using a third party SIP client, like cSipSimple and you should be able to get the best of both worlds.

You can't find good sip application to work smoothly with Bluetooth headsets
even you can't end the call by clicking into the hangup button from the bluetooth headset
but using the Internet Call natively, gives you complete Bluetooth integration.

In order for video calling to work you must use some app, and the ones you just mentioned happen to be the most popular.
I am a new to android and asked this as i could always make video call on my touch hd wm without going for any other application with normal airtime call charges.

[Q] Add network video call feature?

Hi,
Is there any way to add 'network' video calling to an HTC Sensation?
I can Skype and use other third party software apps to video call over the internet but I was curious to know if I can add something to add a network video call to my Sensation to make video calls straight over the network?
My mate's S2 can video call and on occasion I'd like to call them without having to use Skype as at the moment I have to call him, tell him to turn on Skype then recall on Skype to make a video call.
Thanks
It would help to know what carrier and ROM you are using and if your phone is rooted or not.
HTC Sensation on Three UK, rooted handset, leaked HTC ICS ROM.
Thanks
Guessing that's a 'NO' then

Advanced Calling 1.0 ?? (Solved)

Have anyone get the Advanced Calling 1.0 to work?? I tried and it said the device isn't supported.
It activated for me, but of course I don't know anyone else with the feature, so I can't really test it. I do wonder if calls are a little clearer when calling a landline since those sound better than the heavily-compressed cellular calls.
The HD calls sound absolutely amazing! Its like you're in the same room with the other person. Works on vzw to vzw calls

This feature also allowed you to make a call and use the internet at a same time.
I can make a call and use the internet at the same time on my Moto X 2013 but not on the Note5.
I keep trying to get HD calling activated and it won't work. It says congratulations HD calling is now activated reboot your phone in 5 minutes to enjoy high-definition calling. When I do that and I go back into the advanced calling menu it doesn't give me the options to turn it on or off and takes me back and activation.
I then go into my verizon account and HD calling is not a feature that is able to be added. What am I doing wrong? I have caller ID name deactivated as I understand this feature sometimes won't work with high-definition calling

I have the same problem. I will call Verizon after work.
Same issue
Alright guys I got it to work. You have to call Verizon, you probably have "Decline HD Voice " on your plan (see attachment). Verizon have you remove Decline HD Voice and add the Advanced Calling 1.0 for you.
My just started working without calling Verizon. It finally removed the decline code and added the advanced calling code by itself.... I dunno
VZ has to activate it on there side.

Dialer replacement that support video call ?

Is there a good dialer replacement that support video call ?
(since oneplus dialer doesn't seem to support video call )
I get few minutes free bundled from my internet plan.
For me in India, there's a video calling icon right next to the mobile number of the contact, although it can only be done using my VoLTE enabled Jio sim.
