I. Just got my Nex today.
I have always been a fan of SwiftKey, but I always turnoff the haptic feedback.
But when I enter the sound and vibration setting, it force closes...
Any help would be appreciated, as I hate the vibration that happens when I type..

yes, facing same vibration issue in swiftkey apk. so I am using chrooma apk but it is not good as swiftkey board
I also used swiftkey. Because it is not possible to remove the haptic feedback, i changed to Gboard keyboard. Very similar to swiftkey, I don't regret it.
Same issue here. And i can't switch to other keyboard either since i have lot of typing saved on swiftkey since last 2 years of usage on several other devices. I wrote to swiftkey about it and all they replied to me was that they are aware of the issue and we will need for it to fixed with time but ofcourse they didn't give any timeline for it.
It seems SwiftKey are aware and trying to figure out why only their keyboard is affected.
Wondering if how Vivo forces their own keyboard In some situations could be the cause.
Problem has been solved. No hepatic after the new update of the software
Problem persists. Haptic feedback is still there.

i'm using china nex... mine dont have this issue after the recent 1.18.3 sw update.

Glad to hear it worked out! It would be lovely if we could get a screenshot of that!! But i heard it breaks google play support for updating apps and downloading new ones. I'm in China, i have not received the update, heard vivo pulled it.
Hopefully we will all get it soon.
Same here, crashes when trying to change vibration settings. I've sent a support ticket to Swiftkey to solve this problem. Will post when new info is available.
I am using Google keyboard for now. I'ts faster too.

I am using indian nex and 1.7.18 sw version. Here we have not received any updates, may be vivo is planning to roll-out the update and with that the issue will get fixed but for now issue persists with indian version vivo nex. Thanks.

Ya vivo pulled out. They Will release another update in th upcoming week
Swiftkey updated. Issue resolved
I've vivo nex s chinese version with OS build# 1.17.11 and swiftkey keyborad version 7.1.3.27, sound & vibration option was not working suddenlly it worked and i was able to disable vibration option.

Swype Beta for Android to release tomorrow
So, on the same day that I FINALLY get an official beta invite for the Swype beta, I read on Twitter that they are going to be releasing the public beta tomorrow. Here is the link:

LOL. I got that beta invite this morning as well. Awesome.
I'm part of the beta and just installed the newest version but it doesnt work. When i "swype" i see the tracing but no words are ever inputted. I remember having this problem before but I dont remember how I fixed it...Any ideas? Thanks.

Long press the input field, select input method from the context method, switch to Android Keyboard, then do this again and switch back to Swype.

Did you uninstall both the old installer and the program? Then download the new installer and apk? I recall that this process should be followed for the new version to work.
Just installed it, I think Swype is one of the best things on Android. Installed without any problems.
i registered late last night...got my invite about 10 minutes ago.
back up and running with swype. one of my favorite apps (and most useful) on my nexus.
Looks like it's up now. For anyone that doesn't have the beta already, now is the time to get it!
Can someone tell me if double tapping in portrait mode works to bring up the spell check box in this version?

I didnt have the old installer/apk as i just upgraded to a nexus one from a G1. however, I reinstalled it and it works now. Hard to decide whether I like swype or HTC IME better. I guess time will tell. If only HTC IME had multi touch, I'd be so happy!!

the bug I report is my market change its language to current country I live, and there is no way to change it back to english language.. I can't buy app from market too..
The marketplace updates just happen. But I couldn't tell you if I recieved one or not. Not sure which version I have at the moment. What version are you on?

I didn't notice the update too, but now market show the right language..
Mine is v. 1.0.17.
That seems like such an insignificant update. There's MANY more complaints about not being able to rate and comment. They should get that fixed.

Ok. Whatever they did broke the market for me. I get a force close for My Apps every time I try to download and install an app.

I downloaded it this morning only been using it about an hour but seems more responsive and accurate, also the keys seem bigger especially the spacebar great for non Swype typing and the word prediction is great so far I'm really liking it.

It's different, so far pretty decent. The keys are indeed bigger but I can't tell if that's making it easier to Swype or not. Two handed typing is definitely better than it used to be. Dragon dictation is definitely an improvement as well

Ive been using it for the last couple of hours and so far Im also impressed. I seem to be making less mistakes and the predictive text works well.
I also have not had any of the old Swype idiosyncratic problems - "our" coming out as "pyotr", "weeks" always being corrected to "Weeks", etc.
Also, the new version lets you edit the dictionary and remove words - which I wanted to do many times in the past when Swype was suggesting words that I would never use (such as Pyotr). So as I spend more time with it, I expect that to come in handy.
So far it seems like a lot of good improvements in usability...
How did you download it?
I'm swype beta user and requested to send me a link to download form swype beta website. It never come. Also swype connect on device which usually alerts me of new version is not pickuping up new version either.

same here. I tried to uninstall swype (with Titanium backup) and reinstall the beta with swype installer. But it didn't want to log me in (error network).
Maybe too many people are downloading the new version

Uninstall Swype from your phone and then use the installer app again. It should download the newest version.

Hmmm...Can you login at http://beta.swype.com? If so, maybe try uninstalling both apps and re-downloading the installer app again. That's what I did, as I hadn't re-installed Swype the last time I flashed and it worked just fine.

Question guys... I installed the new swype Beta on my atrix 2....
I tried touch typing with it, but when I start to type so fast it starts to think I'm trying to swype and starts to mess up my words.
Is there anyway to turn off the swyping so one can only touch type? - I know kinda defeats the purpose of swype but I was just curious!

Sounds like an Atrix problem to me.
I haven't seen that issue on mine, and I type pretty quickly. I know of no way to turn off swyping, seeing as that is the primary purpose of the swype keyboard, aside from switching back to the stock keyboard which sounds like what you want to do anyway.
Dear Friends , I just bought my Huawei Ascend Mate 7 MTL 10 32 GB, now with me for one week, I think it is a great device really, i call him the Father of my all mobiles before!. anyhow, I have two problems annoying me , The first one is that e mails reaches the inbox without notifying me once they arrived neither by sound, nor by icon in the notification bar. I have tried every possible setting that you can imagine. more i have searched online, but it seems that it is my only problem(or no one reported it yet)
The notification with sound and in the notification bar only happens when i open the e mail app. it happens mostly with the built in apps (that i setup for my Hotmail and Yahoo) otherwise the gmail app is doing fine.
My second problem is that My Volvo S60 Infotainment system is not fully compatible with the Bluetooth of my new HM7 , as i was able to use Kakao and Viber with my car speakers before with my Samsung Galaxy S5 but now I cannot with HM7.
I really appreciate anyone response about that.

I also recieve notification only after opening the email app... In other words notification are useless... Looks like the email app is not running in background...

Same problem also for P7 modell of my collegue...seems to be a EMUI problem with certain (customer) applications (Whatsapp also...).
For email I managed it by using GMAIL and application called UNREAD BADGES FOR GMAIL, in other words a widget designed for GMAIL app and available in the GOOGLE STORE (free) and it works. You have to set up well the energy consumption settings and the notification settings, and then it should work.
Well, thank you all for your support and comments, as a matter of fact, few days after i posted my problem here , i spent almost half a day searching for a solution in this forum and over the internet and my conclusion is , Do not waste your time find a solution because there is non, some people having notification with e mail only like myself, others has it with Whatsapp( more annoying) , i read a full thread here in this forum about every possible solution for the problem, from settings of notifications , power saving , Network settings for data and Always on Wifi. Actually reading that thread was extremely interesting, some people are trying to help the one who started the thread (Mr)(Microdog), others sarcastic and Microdog desperately wants to solve the problem as he likes the phone so much (just like myself) and then at the end guess what? the guy decided to sell the phone! and others persuading him to wait, it was so so funny. i loved it. although , i did not find the solution for my problem but i realized that we human beings have remarkable built in desire to help each other no matter anything( I am not religious by the way) , any how , i decided to live with the condition till the new update will come by end of January or February 2015 may be it will solve the problem, because trust me this is one of the best phones that i have ever had!

yeah, i was one of those who tried to help.). i even persuaded @microdog to not sell his mate 7, but i guess i was too late.
I received b127 update a few days ago but there is still the problem with the e-mail notifications. I have the exchange notification in the panel and blinking led as well but without any ringtone.

Well, that is a disappointment, I was expecting this guys in Huawei will fix that issue with the new update. I think maybe the problem is in their EMUI . We have to raise this problem to Huawei again.

It is the stock email app, although i do experience times where i miss sound notifications, when i have switched between vibration and silent modes. I can't seem to figure out the trigger.
As for email, I use Aquamail, but have also used , cloudmagic, k9, blue mail and boxer, all notifications worked (i tested a bunch to see which had best push times and battery usage).
The notifications worked on all third party email apps for me, so i think it may be an inherent problem with the stock app, but could also be a system wide issue as i do get sound drop outs for some apps randomly as I mentioned before. I have checked all the notification, power settings, screen off etc.. so i think it may be a system bug, corrects on reboot. Hopefully next update fixes it.

Go to settings > protected apps and protect them. Otherwise they may be unprotected and closed when you close the applications. In order to receive the notifications, the application must be running in the background to work. It consume more battery but there is no other way.

if you change any app to "system app" you will receive .. you can use the app "/system/app mover"

To install the Google play store simply head to Apkmirror.com or Apkpure.com and download the store from there. After that you can install all your favorite apps from the Google play store it's as simple as that. One final note if you are in China you will need a VPN to be able to use Google services and the play store. Goodluck!

New Update has arrived enabling Aura lighting for calls and app notifications, other updates include network speed and November security patch.
*Cyan strobe light for incoming call.
*Orange strobe for missed calls or app notifications in general(default) but you can customize the color for each app.
By the way if you are wondering yes the led notification and Aura Lighting both work at the same time when you have a notification so if your phone is turned back or is up front you will not miss your notifications.

Of course, check the screenshots. It seems it's not available for manual download yet on the website, check maybe after a few hours.

I don't see any major changes, just a minor update. Regarding Volte i am not sure because I don't use the feature although i have the option to activate it.

yesterday when i was playing pubg suddenly my screen got auto touch issue. that means when i was touching on left side of the screen the person is moving right side to the screen
once i restarted the mobile everything went back to normal. i don't know if its a defective screen or software bug but i was really worried. have you faced any such kind of issues

Most likely it's just a software bug, anyway i haven't faced such issues because I don't play resource intensive games like PUBG so I can't tell.

Really hating these garbage updates for the accessories. No fixes for any of the crucial problems with the accelerometer, microphone, etc.
