Best relatively new phone to root on verizone/pageplus. - Android General

Hi guys,
I have been relentlessly hunting for a phone that is somewhat new within the last couple years that can be rooted on verizon/pageplus. I found a good deal on a galaxy s7 for verizon for only $150 and assumed it would root, but it doesn't look like this model is there yet.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm looking to spend around $150-250.
The main reason i need root is to use App Ops or a permission manager.
Thanks!

[Q] Best ROM for Vibrant 3G (Noob)

Hi! I've had my Vibrant since February and I rooted it about a month ago when the crapware got too annoying. I've been playing around with root-only programs and Tasker and reading xda and I think I'm ready to flash a custom ROM rather than wait forever for T-Mobile to deliver Gingerbread.
What are the best custom ROMs for Vibrant? I've looked myself but most of the posts are pretty old and I don't know if the information remains current.
Thanks for your answers.

Samsung Galaxy fit ( Best Rom/root?

Hey XDA,
I am rather new here but love the site and more so, love phones and making them reach there best potential
Anyway. I have a Samsung Galaxy fit, It has the latest Updates (2.3.4) and its baseband is S5670XWKQ4
I am just wondering if there are any decent custom ROMS for this device and if there is a nice easy way to root it. I have searched and found some rooting methods, but those methods were before the latest Update to my phone and as such I wonder if all I will do is brick my phone lol.
I have heard of the SuperOneclick method but I need to go and check it out to see if it is compatible with my phone.
I am choosing to do this now as I am fairly sure due to the Galaxy fit being more of a Budget smartphone that its unlikely to get ICS
I look forward to your advice guys. Cheers

[Completed] [Q] need help picking a new phone

I currently use a Samsung Galaxy SIII on verizon. I did the whole rooting and bootloader thing (whatever you call it). Im in the market for a new phone and was wanting some insight on what new phones are out there that i can do the same thing. I love the ability to load custom roms and do away with all the bloatware that come with every phone. Can some one help out with letting me know what phone still has the capability to root like i did my SG3. I keep reading that the new galaxy phones are impossible to root anymore. I was leaning towards the note 4 but it looks like theres not root for it. Im looking for a phone that I know can be rooted (along with the bootloader) and where i can use custom roms. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.
Hi,
you won't get your question answered on XDA. I suggest you search for the best phone you should pick yourself. For the ability to root the phone you desire, I recommend you to have a look if there is a device forum on XDA and that the phone is rootable.
Good luck!

Is it worth rooting these days? ...

Hi guys & gals,
I've had my s6 for some time now, been unrooted too... quite enjoyed it and I haven't really missed much.
Recently I've been wanting more from this device and have been thinking about rooting.
One of the main reasons I want to root is to get PdaNET back but I don't know if I can sacrifice Android Pay and other apps like Netflix etc.
Is the work around (Magisk) still working? - to be able to be rooted AND have Android Pay.

help with buying device *please help*

ok so this is my first time on here and i decided to make a thread because I simply cant find anything on this. (could also be that I'm slow and just didn't see it in front of my face) Anyways in the past week I have gotten ahold of over 10 phones. main purpose? unlock bootloader, root device, and play Pokémon go official app on the device, of course their are other things i want it for but this is my main reason. but every device I've gotten my hands on have been a complete fail and its driving me insane!! so I'm just looking at my options what can I do? I really want to get a Samsung galaxy tab s6 lite but honestly I don't wanna waste my money and not be able to root. I really need something that that is gonna work either a high end tab or a high-end phone that can be rooted. would be even better if I could just by a pre rooted phone or tab somewhere. please just, any help would be appreciated.
