[Q] CALL QUALITY (call eq?)

I have always had a lot of low end sound when in a call on my skyrocket (always as in before root) making it hard to hear someone who mumbles or has a lower voice.
w or w/o headphones still have problem. *moreso referring to speaker on phone though
I have tried a plethora of eq's but none seem to affect incoming call sound.
flashed beats audio (by fuss132) problem got worse.
is there any root level eq's or any way i can boost my mids and decrease lows on calls?

I would like to know too. My new A9220 is too trebly but an EQ might help.

Have you tried finding volume+ on google there's a forum that has a free app in it

Thanks I have downloaded volume+, the paid version but I need root access and I've been unsuccessful in rooting so far. Any other product suggestions welcome. Volume+ say their speaker quality function is experimental and it doesn't seem like it gives the ability to EQ the incoming call but lets hope it helps or this phone is going back....

What's the issue with rooting? where you stuck at?

well, I've tried superoneclick, unlock root, gingerbreak and loading from SD, none of them get through the process. I have USB debugging on etc...I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I wondered if I don't have the right file for the SD method. This is my first Android phone.

Just read the stickies man, it's all explained in easy steps. Learning Odin is essential for sammy anyways, you should get comfortable with it.

yeah seems I should do that. I just downloaded Odin pro but it straight away tells me I'm not rooted... which I know of course.

Ok, got it rooted. Now I need to make the speaker usable for calls. Volume+ doesn't seemt o EQ the speaker, just allow me to increase the volume. Any other suggested apps or tweaks?

Did you get volume + from the market or the one from the forum i.was talking about

found engineers menu (via dialpad) with audio adjustment so that might help. Will run through the options provided.

[Q] Looking for a notification sound may have been hangouts video message noti

I remember this notification sound coming with the Moto G, but once I factory reset it, I cannot find it anymore. It may have been the hangouts video message notification, not the hangouts message. Like how hangouts call ringtone is different from hangouts video call ringtone. It went something like "dododododo " but with a clicking sound.

None of these are it . I have these but I'm no longer sure how I got the one I'm looking for, I thought I was pretty sure it came with the phone.

Thats weird, since all firmwares come with the same ringtones, as far as I know... Some carriers add propper ringtones in some cases, some of them are used on tv ads and so.. But I cant imagine why you'd have that misterious ringtone that has gone forever..

I did flash my phone to what was supposedly stock firmware. Maybe that firmware didn't have it. Or I'm crazy and it is from somewhere else.

You know what????? Thats an old Hangouts ringtone... When those new material design version of hangouts came up, they brought those new ringtones... Thats what happened, newer versions of the ringtone replaced the old one you were looking for.. I remember I use to have it some time ago... Glad to see you found it!!

Volume alert

Hello, as much as I appreciate Samsung's concern for my health and safety, I am getting annoyed by the volume notification that says "Listening to music on high volume for long periods of time might be harmful" etc., sometimes I'm out running and I try to turn up the volume, it'll vibrate and block it, so I'm forced to pull out my phone and dismiss the freaking notification.
I tried searching for it in the settings, nothing came up as a toggle switch off.. Thanks ?

Nothing you can do about it without root. Samsung doesn't understand that external bluetooth devices have independent volume controls, apparently.

How do you do it when rooted?

I actually don't know on this phone. On the S4, I used Xposed to remove the volume warning, but I don't know if that's available for the S6 yet. Might check the S6 development forums to see if there's anything.

This is an Android feature, not Samsung. I think Google added it in KitKat to comply with some laws somewhere.

I'm pretty sure it's a Samsung thing. The Moto G 2nd Gen running the 5.0 update doesn't do it, and didn't do it on the shipped 4.4 OS.

My LG Optimus G does it and so does my Nexus 7 (stock Android).

Well, I didn't know that. I don't use Google-stock android devices, and the Optimus G, when I had it, never did that. I did sell it before the update, though.

Disabling vibration completly without root?

I got a used pixel device with vibration rattling problem. Is there a way to disable vibration function completely with out rooting the device. I am on android 8.1.2 so please suggest.

If you don't like my hobby, well, I can't help you there. Mate.
Where I CAN help you is with your real problem. See, I also got an used Pixel with rattling vibration. So just go thru all the settings on the phone and anywhere you see it - disable it or turn it off. This means haptic feedback, keyboard settings, ringtone settings etc. You can't disable it all at once, you just gotta go one by one. It's a 3 minute walk, you can do it.

Honestly, I never thought ok google would work with screen off for non pixel devices... But it works for OP6.. Just tried it..
This helps in unlocking the phone will driving and directly making calls..
Apologies if you already knew this before but it's kinda new for me.. Just thought of sharing this with anyone who is like me...

Sure. It's fairly simple
Settings...google...search... Voice... Voice match.. (train assistant with your voice by saying ok google and hey google as per on screen instructions) and that's it..
Lock ur phone and try saying ok google.. It will unlock

Hahaha.. Probable solution would be to use a pair of earphones with mic and whisper.. Okay google..

It's strange for me that this is news because I've been using custom romsnfor so long that had this implementated. It's a good feature
I think the idle drain will be about the higher than without it (this is what I have noticed) but it's not massive so definitely a recent trade off if you like the service. I have a few Google homes and they all pick up my voice but then it knows from which device to reply from based on what's nearest to you.
I've used this mainly for turning on Bluetooth and setting navigation whilst driving. Also asking questions whilst driving that I want the answer to.

I doubt if custom roms would make any difference. I have used oneplus 1 and op3 but none of the custom roms for these devices had this feature.. Interesting point you made about multiple Google homes devices and the nearest one reverts back.. Didn't know this..

If sommone Not Getting beep sound while assistant wakeups you need to enable Switch acess in accesability settings
Settings> andance> accesability >switchacess

It is already available with op6 if u r rooted and use Magisk.. Magisk has a module with this feature
