Hello, I am super confused in lenovo p2 display.
I dropped my phone and damaged my display. Fortunately the outer (user area) display was fine with no scratch. But the inner display got damaged. A big black circle appeared on down left side of display and slowly the display went all black. The touch is working fine but nothing's visible. Service center told my the display will cost around 6-7k INR. So I went to my local store and that guy told me some wierd things abt display of lenov p2
As the black version is not available in market so he tried the golden version the display worked but after we reboot the phone only display is visible but touch was working.
Ao he removed that. Next he told me there is a LCD display available for Lenovo p2 which is not company made but are made by developer as the original led display are not available.
But wherever i search there is no mention of led display for p2. Every thred i read lcd are mentioned by people. On online store too lcd are mentioned.
So whats the thing? Is my local store guy saying truth?? Should I repair it from there ?
LED of Lenovo p2 is costing 5.5k inr with all service charge. And the LCD display is costing 5k with service charge. What should I do?
I'm interested too
The original display is AMOLED.
LCD is a massive downgrade in my opinion.
Sure .. but where to find on web?

Thank you very much, I will look into this one.
screen seems to work fine, installation was not too hard. However, new screen acts little weird, as once phone is off, backlight turns off immediately, but you still can see image for few seconds under normal light, pixels show through, and then it fades away.
Look for an original AUO H380VL01 or HTC Touch HD Sharp matrix... It's reported to be compatible with our phone
cracked screen too

I installed mine today -after 6 months with broken screen- I bought lcd for HTC Touch HD T8282.It is far more cheaper than the acer one and fits perfectly.ebay item 290424248491.
The HD screen is the same of NeoTouch?
I've paid 70€ for a screen for newTouch, but your proposition is more good: 50€!!
Are you sure it's good for Acer? My touchscreen is OK...
Im using it since last friday. its perfect
I received my screen today, but it's difficult to open this mobile phone!
I remove 5 screw on sur back of the phone, but i don't know what remove
There are two more screws at the left and right sides of battery house

i have the same prob.... i dropped my phone and my screen blanked ....and i need another lcd .... i was thinking about what you did.... but if i'll get the HTC one the front of the mobile will be with HTC logo instead of the ACER one ...
right?
screen now fixed
I took my phone in to a local shop and they were able to change out the screen using an HTC HD screen (yes, the exact same screen as the neotouch). All is fine with the screen. They messed up the power button, but that is another story. I watched the guy do this and it seemed like a hell of a lot of intricate work to do yourself. I was happy to pay the $120. Now, I just need to return and get them to redo the power button (installed it incorrectly when putting it all back together).
For those adventurous enough- go for it, but I suggest the cheaper HD screen. And no, only the screen was replaced, which is under the touch screen/digitizer that actually has the acer logo. All looks as it did before.
I took my neotouch for a motocycleride in the rain. It didn't like it too much and now the touchfunction is messed up on parts of the screen. It all displays as it should but I can't use parts of the screen. I should be allright with just replacing the digitizer right? Ebay item Item number: 170518652337
Hi, the same for me.
Touch doesn't work on some area.
Need change digitizer or LCD?

Hi someone tell me where it's possible to buy a part "gps antenna "?

Hi,
this didn't work in my case. After replacing my broken original lcd screen with a new lcd display (eBay - No. 120608475783, Original HTC Touch HD LCD Display T8282), I can see that the display is switched on, but it doesn't seem to receive any signal (like you turn on your pc monitor but not the pc). Now I have two questions:
1.) If only the lcd display is broken - should I still see something on the display? Because on my broken display, I only have a black and a white part and some coloured stripes, mostly where the display is broken.
2.) Is it possible that there is something more broken on my NeoTouch or did I simply receive a broken lcd panel? It did fall off the couch, completely flat on the display.
fyi: the new lcd was missing some isolation (on the flexible part with some electrical components) which was present on my original lcd. I used some sticky tape as a replacement because it is directly positioned over some other electrical components on the phone when in place.
New Info:
Everything except from the display seems to be fine - when it is connected to my PC running "My Mobiler". But I have seen pictures of mobiles with a cracked screen whre you were still able to see (partly) the homescreen, etc. On mine, I am not able to see anything while the cracked screen is mounted - only white and black parts and some colored stripes...
Update: The delivered display was broken. Yesterday I received a new one which works perfectly!
many thanks in advance

aih, the same story with my f1

I don't think you should replace the screen by yourself. Also FYI it's not like a normal touchscreen. According to the manual, the screen is an electronic screen which changes finger touch to electric signals, hence "tochscreen". So probably you would have to play with the hardware also. I have replaced my screen for Rs.3000 (some $50) from samsung service. It feels better (even better than the stock screen).
it's only the screen parts because the phone is working and the touchscreen is working too i can use my phone i received my Gmail mail sms etc and i 've the haptic feed back when i unlock it but i don't have any image and when i unmount it everything apart the screen seems to work ...
edit: i want to change the LCD display which is dead not the external part of the screen....
Tutorial for changing the LCD panel
although note that buying a new panel would cost you quite a lot of money, you are better off buying a new phone i think
I don't want to change the panel i want to change the display and anyway i just successfuly completly unmouted the phone, i'm just looking for a webshop where i can find a cheap LCD display (normally it's ~ 30€
i don't follow you...you said you didn't want to change the external part of the screen
the screen on all touch devices consists of two parts:
the digitizer (thats the external cheap bit) that transcodes touches to digital signals
and the lcd panel (that's the internal expensive bit) that projects images
what is your problem exactly
also i suggest you take a look at ebay for parts
I want to change the lcd part
My phone seams to work because when i call it ring and i can answer it by sliding the screen where there were sliders when i send a sms it ring when i receive a gmail it ring but i din't see anything the screen is totally black ....
I hope you'll understand
Excuse i i'm not clear

I think that you somehow ( by pressing power button as you mentioned) broke the display :/ so the only solution is to change the display by yourself or samsung custom service but i hope that im wrong!
Sent from my Viper HOX
If your screen turns out to be really broken, don't be afraid of switching it yourself.
Just don't make the same mistake I made (twice). Buy the new display from a store that's specialised in mobile spareparts, not from ebay. If the display doesn't look exactly like the one you took out of your phone, send it back. I had a bent and scratched one and one that had lower resolution and no brightness control. Insane, who hopes to make profit from that?
This page shows you how to disassemble a G3: http://www.formymobile.co.uk/i5800disassembly.php I recommend using a guitar pick for all steps.

thanks for trying to help turboblaz, but i have already disassembled the handset and inspected it from all sides, there is no bleeding ,crack or scratch of any kind on it and moreover the placement of the power button is such that it wont harm the display even if its pressed with a moderate to hard pressure.

thanks martialaw ,yeah i know hw to dissamble this handset ,actually i hve done it twice before, once for replacing the menu key button and the other time for replacing the audio jack. moreover i know a good shop which sells good mobile spare parts
i had checked it with the service centre , the price of the audio jack there was 650 inr along with the replacement so i bought it from that spare shop ,it costed meh around 150 inr n works perfectly fine even after 6 months. So im guessing that the price of the lcd display at the service centre would be around 1500 inr and at the local market it would be around 500 inr,but i am just worried about its contrast and brightness as u mentioned and moreover what if the display is fine and the problem is with the board or other things.

sounds familiar. I spent 1200 inr on ebay, twice, both crap. Then 2100 inr in a proper shop, which finally looked like the original part on the circuit area. Dunno if those prices can be compared, I converted them from Euros for you. Go for a original part and try to keep the option to give it back if it turns out the error lies within another component. gl&hf
Guys,
pls help me..........Today my 4 months old magnus just fell to the ground and its Upper left screen got cracked.
Now the Touch is not working at All but display looks perfectly fine. Power Button is working too and my phone is charging as well.
Friends, pls tell me the expected cost of its touch screen. I have searched it on google, some guys saying its 800Rs-1000Rs and some has quoted around 7000 Rs.
Anxsiouly waiting for your replies !!!
if your display is fine than it must not cost above 400-500 bucks, And if someone asks for more than that probably they are cheating.
if you go to service center they will ask for about 2.5K so get it from local market..

It depends n your colour of phone.
If it's white one then,
Only Touchscreen cost --
900 local
600 (gafar market delhi)
2150 service center (original)- normally there is no availability
Both touch n display--
2700 local
If it's blue then, u have to change both touch screen n display since it's joined.
cost. -- same as white 2700 local
6300 service centre original
I am telling this detail since 3 of my friends have already replaced their screen 2 white n one blue.
One thing more, if u opt for only touch then take care that the shop keeper will take some responsibility since some times it gives a lots of problem after 2-3 days.

Hello friends,
Few days back touch panel of my Micromax canvas magnus A117 have been broken, i went to service center where they suggested me that LED Display need to be replace along with touch as they are one of the same part and can not be separated. I asked the cost to replace they told me amount which is not feasible and by adding some amount i can get a new phone. I want to ask as my canvas is of blue color customer care and service center both are suggesting to replace LED display, but my issue is that i don't believe that LED display need to be replace as only touch is broken and even half of touch is working why the hell LED needs to be replace if LED display have no issue (actually canvas comes with IPS panel)?
I need one proper guidance and if possible video of replacing touch panel of Micromax canvas magnus A117, i can take action against no transparency at service centers and i want product picture if only touch screen can be replaced not display needs to be replaced and at what cost in India i can buy or if LED display and touch both are combined can provide the picture of the replacement product parts and it cost.

My friend's phone is in same condition. phone fell n screen is broken. he went to service center n they said it will cost 6000. we went to local mobile market n found that cost of touch pad is 450 only but he also said that screen is attached to it and will need to be replaced.
I did not find any video regarding dis-assembly of the phone.
