COMPARE FACES:
Load two images and calculate similarity between faces. If an image contains several faces you can select which one to use for comparison.
How to use:
1. Load face 1 image.
2. Load face 2 image.
3. Press COMPARE FACES - similarity between faces is calculated. You can also see chart of the 128 face embeddings that neural network produces.
FOLDER SEARCH:
Load face image and search matching face in a folder of images.
How to use:
1. Load face image.
2. Select folder with images to be searched.
3. Press START - the selected face is compared with faces in images in selected folder and the results with similarity bigger than defined threshold in settings are shown.
Settings:
- Folder search threshold - defines threshold which results to appear in FOLDER SEARCH. Faces with similarity bigger than this threshold will be shown.
- Face detection area shrink percentage - control the size of the area around the face. Setting positive values will shrink the area and negative values will expand it.
- Face detection area lowering percentage - control the height of the area around the face. Setting positive values will lower the area around face and negative values will lift the area.
- Always align faces - when this is checked the faces will be automatically aligned. This will improve the results, but will slow the process.
By adjusting Face detection area shrink and lowering percentage you can control what part of the image is matched.

GAME] Pendulum Chaos!

My second app! This is a small app to appreciate the beauty of pendulum waves.

Pendulum Chaos is a simulation of a pendulum wave. By setting up a series of pendulums of carefully selected lengths, a pendulum wave effect is generated.
GET IT HERE!
For the fellow geeks out there, the basic equation I used is theta(t)=theta0*cos(t/sqrt(L/g)). The pendulum lengths are calculated with L(i)=g(1/(2PI*I(i)))^2.
You can also find cool videos of actual pendulum waves on youtube! These videos are also what prompted me to write this app.
How to use?
It's all pretty self-explanatory. You control the number of pendulums, initial swing angle, overall speed, pendulum size and colours.
I even allowed swing angles of up to 360 degrees to get effects impossible in an experimental setup.
Experiment with them yourself to get some really nice graphics!
Tip: Use similar shades of color, perhaps of light and dark brightness levels, and allow some transparency to your colors, then slow down the simulation speed to really appreciate the wave effect.
If you have any questions, you can email me at [email protected] or post on my blog woolfloats.blogspot.com, which I am embarrassed to admit I am sorely neglecting...
I have also written another app called NTW Text Editor which you can download from the Market. It allows the editing of files with no file size limit, and will also bookmark all your editing progress in every file. If you liked Pendulum Chaos, pls do take a look at NTW too ;-)
v1.3 is out!
Changes from v1.0
- Fixed the lack of proper launcher icons.
- Autosaves your settings upon exiting the app,
- Blurrify mode for really dreamy looking graphics
- Shorter pendulums are now smaller in size than longer pendulums,
- Tweaked the pendulum lengths to make better use of available screen space.
Sooooo pwweeetty
v1.4
- Colors are now calculated using pendulum length and swing angle combined.
- Even more dreamy effect by making the blurriness dependent on swing angle and length as well!
Ahem, pls help me share my vid? I'm hoping to make it go viral

[APP][2.3.3+] GPS Speedometer

Hello,
I would like to promote my app: GPS Speedometer. 2 versions are available: one paid and one free; the free versions being supported by ads.
GPS Speedometer is a speedometer application that uses you're phone's internal GPS module to calculate your current speed and display it with large, easy to read, LCD-like fonts. It will also display your total travel time, your average speed, maximum reached speed, your heading and elevation, a nice compass and forward and lateral accelerations.
Features:
- High accuracy. The speed calculated based on GPS data is more accurate than the one displayed by your car's speedometer
- It supports both imperial and metric units
- 5 predefined color themes
- It can record your path, speed, distance, and elevation and save them in a KML file (for Google Earth) - just press the record button in the upper left corner.
- It can work in the background, so it can record your movement and speed even while you're talking on the phone. This means that if you really want to exit the application, you have to press "Menu" and select "Exit".
- HUD mode.
It requires the following permissions:
- WAKE_LOCK in order to prevent the screen from turning off
- ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION (GPS based location) for reading GPS data
- WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE in order to save the KML file
- INTERNET (free version only) to receive ads
Please note that while I've tested the application on several Android devices, there are way to many different Android devices to guarantee that it will work just fine on all of them, so if you encounter a problem with the application, just drop me an email with your phone model and a short description of your problem; I will do my best to fix it ASAP.
Of course, any feedback would be appreciated.
Available on Google Play:

When in HUD mode, the screen IS mirrored. Please check the video, it's shown there.
I would have a suggestion.
Add an option to HUD mode where only speed will be displayed, not all the info. Would be a great option for phones with small display.

FlightTime Calc is a flight time calculator , that helps you calculate your flight hours . It has the ability to add and subtract times , in the hh:mm:ss or hh.ddddddd format. The result is shown in (hh:mm:ss) Time Format or in (hh.ddddddd) Hours Format, with seven (7) decimal digits (e.g. 1.5000000 means one and a half hour).
All calculation history is shown in a list so that it will be easy for you to see what operations you made.
You can also, select and delete any operations you made from the list, if you think you had made a mistake. You call also delete everything in the list.
If you pressed an operation to be done, for example addition (+), you can easily change it to subtraction (-), by pressing the Button - or by simply touching the + symbol in the list's last line.
You can customize the application by changing the colors of background, buttons, times and the label " Total Time " from the settings, making that way, your personalized flight time calculator.
For flight time calculations' need, it supports up to five (5) digits in each of the time's field: hh, mm, ss. (e.g. 55555:55555:55555), for the Time Format (hh:mm:ss) and up to five (5) digits and seven (7) decimal digits for the Hours Format (hh.ddddddd).
Requires permissions:
• File Access - ONLY used for accessing the external sd in case someone wants to set an image as a background for the application from settings.
Here is a FAQ for this application that helps you understand how the application works, although it is simple enough.

Always-On Pace - an app that shows pace and time with always-on display

This thread is no longer updated, use this link instead: https://forum.xda-developers.com/gear-s3/themes/fitness-apps-speed-pace-heart-rate-t3709791/
This app is similar to Always-On Speed, but instead of speed it shows pace, which is more useful for runners. Here is the full description:
This application shows time and your pace while keeping the device awake. It does not log your activity. Please read the information below before using the app.
Make sure that GPS is enabled before starting the app. In order to turn on GPS, start or start and stop a workout in the S Health app or enable GPS manually on your smartphone.
• The app cannot enable GPS on your phone automatically.
• The app is only as accurate as your phone's GPS.
• Touch the speed indicator three times at an interval of at least one second to change the unit of pace (min/km → min/mi). The app will remember your choice next time you launch it.
There are several features that reduce power consumption (currently at ~17% per hour):
• The rotating bezel on the Gear S2 can be used to adjust the screen brightness. Note: in bright sunlight the brightness level locks at 100% and cannot be adjusted.
• Only one type of subpixels is used at a time, either red, green or blue.
• As soon as you stop moving, the device will start vibrating every 10 seconds. The app will close automatically after 1.5 to 3 minutes of inactivity.
Features that prevent screen burn-in:
• Numbers move up and down the screen.
• Tap the time indicator to change the font color from green to alternating red and blue. Note: red or blue text has very poor readability in bright sunlight.
• Font size changes.

Updated the app to show the average pace calculated for the last 60 seconds.

[APP][2.3+] Giant Stopwatch

I wanted a stopwatch app specialized to my needs. Here are some features:
really gigantic display (so I can see it from 50 feet up at the gym when rock climbing)
adjustable fractional precision (default 0.1 seconds; if you increase it to 1 second, you save battery)
start/stop with volume buttons
keep screen on option
lock orientation option
full screen option
don't use CPU time when navigated away from (but still keep time)
copy to clipboard (long tap on time)
choice of fonts and colors
relatively small apk (less than 150kb currently)
support for old Android versions (I got it down to 1.6, actually, despite the subject heading)
no ads, no in-app purchases
minimal permissions (runs on boot to detect that the running time was invalidated)
open source

Note: I had to render the giant numerals as paths rather than using a font, since my LG V20 refused to render numerals more than about 1400 pixels high.
Now up on Google Play: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=omegacentauri.mobi.simplestopwatch
I added an optional start delay with a 3-2-1 countdown (voice or beeps).
I managed to get the compatibility all the way back to Android 1.6 (not actually tested). And the apk is now even smaller (about 130kb).
I added the Robot Black font for even darker letters.
And a clock (swipe up and down to choose between clock and stopwatch).
I just posted 1.23: the clock and stopwatch can have different colors.
I just posted 1.25. Better compatibility with Android 10+, option to show tenths of second on big display, and options to disable one or both clock modes.
Just posted 1.36. New options include: customizable delay, start/stop with screen tap, FHWA E font. And a bug fix for some crashes.
I posted 1.39. New option: periodic beep. I needed this option for a Guinness world record attempt (successful, though not yet submitted for certification), as the record guidelines required an "audible signal" of the end of the time period.
