Green Led no working? - HTC U12+ Questions & Answers

Hello,
I noticed for two days that the green led of the notifications does not blink, even when the load reaches 100% the led goes from orange and turns off completely to 100%, it does the same thing with the device off at 100% there is no green led that lights up.
Has anyone ever met with problems?
I did a factory reset and there is no change.
Thanks for your advices.

Hello,
I put pictures, in case my explanation is not clear.
I thank you in advance if you have idea.
I'm thinking of a hardware problem ?!?

Seems as if your LED is faulty. Would exchange the device trmhroigh HTC. Can happen on LEDs, as every now and then you may have one that stops working after a short time.

Capacitive Button Backlight

do any of you guys experience the issue where the capacitive buttons dont light up when theyre supposed to ? which is almost.... always ?
one really annoying thing for me :|
Yes, you're not the only one to have this but It's very intermittent for me.

In my brief time with the DS, the buttons lit up just once. In anything other than full light, they were useless.

well tbh i dont have DS ...yet. im thinking if i should buy this or incredible S :| had optimus 2x in mind.... but its got issues lol.
any1 tried to play dungeon defenders on this phone ? if so ,does it work smoothly enough ? and btw, hows the loudspeaker ? good quality or still crappy -.- ?
My experience is that buttons backlighting simply doesn't work. Sometimes they light up (no matter if environment is dark or bright) but most of the time they don't. Completely sporadic behavior. Makes it difficult to use device in the dark. Engadget has highlighted this problem in their review of Desire S http://www.engadget.com/2011/04/10/htc-desire-s-review/
hm... looks like it works for me okay
Swapped the DS for an Incredible S, backlit buttons work perfectly. So suspect DS software issue?

Works fine here.
Seems ok here.
Very bizarre - got rid of the DS after a day mostly for the wifi issue, but to a degree also because I could not see the buttons in anything other than full light! They literally came on once and that was when I connected it with my PC.
How can that be so when other folks don't have that issue. Different software versions?
Everything ok here.
DS S-OFF with superuser and BusyBox installed. (ROOT)
Maybe a hard reset would had helped.
There are well reported software issues with the buttons, basically the phone detects the background ambient light levels and decides whether our not to light up the buttons
Sometimes in a dark room the presence of a bright light source such as a window or a bright Tv stop them from lighting
unfortunately there us nothing we can do.
Although considering that the buttons don't change positions I always know where they are and which one is which so I can't see what the real problem is?

Ive had to get used to guessing where the buttons are as well.
As an aside you can force them on by putting your thumb over the front camera.
Not a solution but useful when your stuck.

Covering front camera doesn't help in my case IE buttons don't light up.
if you cover sensors on the top left of the screen (one cm to the left from HTC logo) the light should turn on after 2-3 seconds.
Its not the front camera that performs the light sensing it's another sensor thats located on the front face of the phone just to the left of the word hTC under the glass.
you can test this by covering the top left of your phone with your left finger/thumb and after 2-3 seconds the buttons should light up.
edit: sorry just realised that I said same as post above.

Haven't had any probe.. work on light sensor,so if there's light shining on phone then won't work,if in dim lit room then they light up..

HTC Notification Light

Hi.
Just got my Sensation today and have been setting it up etc. In all the excitement, I didn't notice until now, the notification light on my handset flashes behind the speaker, next to the front camera. Am I correct in thinking that the circle on the left of the speaker is the notification light and that's what should be flashing (when charging, message received etc)?
Faulty handset?

Nope. If you check the manual, that circle on the left is the light sensor and there is one in the screen under that one, that's the proximity sensor.
notification light
Red LED lights is on on mi desire non-stop working without any problems, how to turn off the light?
Hi you turn off notification lights by going into settings, display, notifications led, uncheck all you want to stop blinking.. this should do the trick . It will only blink during changing now

Problems With LightFlow

A week or so ago, I installed LightFlow just to see what it was all about and utilize its "solid led" function instead of the stock blinking led. Come to find, it is chock full of features and it was looking good for me but some of the main things I wanted out of it weren't quite working the way I wanted them to, so I simply un installed it.
The problem I now have is that when my screen is asleep, even when plugged in the red led telling you it's charging won't show up, and none of the other led notifiers work either, so I think I essentially broke the led notification function of my phone... :banghead:
A reboot doesn't help the fact either... Anyone got any ideas?
I forgot to mention that when shutting down, the blue LED is on like normal, so the LED itself isn't broken.

So you uninstalled Light Flow correct? Because I haven't heard of it ruining LED's even after an uninstall. Are you using a TW rom? If so, have you turned the LED indicator back on under Settings/Display?

Black Screen on Motorola Droid 2 Global

Hi,
My Motorola droid 2 global is black screen on my droid. I can receive calls, I get email as I hear the notifications, the screen reacts to touch as it vibrated when I drag across the area where the unlock slider is.
When i was playing with it, I noticed that under very bright light I can see the screen. I managed to take few screenshot, which automatically loaded to my picasa, and when when I opened them,. the screen, with all the icons was visible.
Has my LCD display gone bad? But, i was buy lcd to replace them,
I've tried to solve the issue with a battery pull, reser, restart etc but nothing seems to work. I also played with the brightness setting under a very bright light and nothing happened.
Please help
Seems like a hard ware issue. Did you rsd to complete stock? I would try that as the last thing if not already done and if it's still black it's hardware related.

Notification Led diode

Hi guys!
Iam having a problem with notification led diode. It doesnt work. I havent seen the light yet.
I just tried Light Flow app but it also wasnt able to light the led up.
So i assume that my phone is broken in that part and the diode just doesnt work on my Nexus 5.
Does anyone have some the same problem?

Figured it would be but had to ask. Factory reset as a last resort maybe?
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk 4
I installed Light Flow. Took a few minutes before I got any lights.
There's a test mode in light flow. Might be worth trying that too.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk 4
Test mode in LF didn't work for me. I was going to uninstall but then I noticed the battery charging light came on. Now all of the programmed lights in LF work for me. I have not retried the test light feature.
light flow might have just glitched up the led for a bit. If it stops working again, try clearing app data, or reinstall, or uninstall light flow altogether. It has been known to have some issues.
In light flow you have to turn off the screen after turning on test mode, if you haven't tried that already.
Sent from my Nexus 5 using xda app-developers app
Yes, the screen MUST be off for the notification light to illuminate. In addition, at least for Light Flow, it can take several seconds for the notifications to light up, even when performing a test.
Same problem here and it's going to back for a refund. It was actually a replacement unit for the first one which had speaker issues.
I tried everything and never saw the light come on once while the first unit worked fine with the same settings.
try this
