Does anyone on their U12 have the ability to use the video recording Auto-Zoom feature? This seems to be nonexistent on my device. I know it only works when recording video or doing slo-motion. I checked their help page and watched YouTube videos. The way it shows how to do it is extremely strait forward, it just doesn't exist on my phone. Perhaps this is an upcoming feature?

In my HTC U12 +, the "Automatic zoom" quoted in the manual is not displayed when you hold your finger on the gray dot.
Zoom works only in such a way that it moves smoothly in a situation when I press this gray dot and slightly move my finger up or down, nonstop holding my finger on this dot. When you release the pressure with your finger on the gray dot - the travel stops.

Is the problem definitely getting fixed with the next OTA? I have been in contact with HTC UK customer support and they are not aware of this issue with the auto zoom and want me to send in my phone. I'll be without a phone for at least 2 weeks if I do so not sure if I should wait for the OTA? - Do we have a date for it yet?

Autozoom will arrive with the 1.21.XXX updates. As you might see in the Twitter link I posted in my OTA thread regarding the 1.21.709.6 OTA currently rolling out.

I had try a lot of programs to record calls, but none have worked....
Somebody have one who works?

just to awake this topic .. even i havent found an app to record calls on nexus s .. its surprising how easily u can do it on symbian nokia phones .. dated to even 10 years old ..

With the current set of hardware which is shipping on Nexus S, I don't think (2-way) call recording can be achieved. There was an elaborate thread on the same here on XDA but
I am unable to find it (amongst so many of them). Shall re-post if I find it.

I've asked that question before with no replies. The problem is that the OS built is preventing any app from accessing the internal voice while on call.

It's got more to do the Broadcom Chip on the Nexus S - its on similar lines why we can't have a FM Radio (not an internet streaming App, those are plenty) - unlike it's very close siblings such as the Galaxy S which does boast of a FM Radio & possible 2-way call recording capabilities (I don't follow other phones, too smitten by the Nexus S)

I have been looking for this feature for nearly 1 year, till now I don't see a good solution on Nexus S.
I used HTC diamond 2 before nexus S, and it does perfect incoming/outgoing call recording without the need of speaker on. I don't understand google doesn't allow this API.

You'll have to report yourself cause he may try to understand your problem & ask you submit logs which only you can do.
So I'll request everyone to post your observations after testing it in the original thread as it'll help the developer in making it fully compatible with our device.
Ehhh !! i installed this app, but how do i know whether this is working or not, i can only hear camera clicks !!
I've installed it for some minutes. I think that you need to restart the phone after installing the app, but, first, enable the boot option inside it.
I suppose that those clicks are real photos been taking by the phone, I also hear it... just a bug. The app is trying to analyze the face and it's searching for the eyes.
If you want to try it, set the display timeout to 15s (in phone's settings), turn on your room's light and put the mobile to a reasonable distance from your face, you'll see that it doesn't switch off the screen, after this, just leave it far from you and, if everything is ok, it should go to sleep in some seconds.
The software need to mature a lot, it consumes tons of CPU time and, eventually, it starts to eat all the ram and CPU, leaving your phone in a semi-freezed mode, I was able to restart it but took some time.
Besides that, it did its function, it kept the display on while I was watching at it, and afterwards it put it to sleep.

By sending a log you are sending some sensitive information to this app's developer. I think this is how it's done though I'm not 100% sure:
- First download & install the new v1.4 of the app.
- Now start /open the app, after clicking on 'OK' lock your device once by pressing the lock key.
- Now click on 'Send Logs' in the app. It'll ask you to download & install a log collector app so install it & open it.
- Next Tick 'Debug' and go through the process of running the app when you are facing the front Cam with some distance between you & your front Cam so as to let it try to detect your face. Now let it run once when you do not face the front Cam.
- Next Click on Send logs once again then click on OK.
- It'll then allow you to Email the log to this app's developer.
- If the app works then don't send the logs.

It does work in landscape mode AFAIR but it's hard to keep your face in the field of view of the front camera in the landscape mode.
Yep you are right about others except the lagging part but that can vary from person to person.
The app is working, however, the shutter sound is very annoying. Just imagine when you fall asleep and suddenly hear that noise.

There's an option to turn off the shutter sound but it's a temporary fix as it switches the handset into 'Silent' mode for the duration of the shutter sound which affects others functions of the handset as well.
I have one paid app installed to take pictures in raw (DNG) : Camera Fv 5. It used to work flawlessly at the same resolution (16mp) than the main camera app. But since my update to Android 6.0.1, the maximum resolution I have is 8mp. Did someone encounter the same problem? I have tried to use the app with stock non rooted rom and custom ones, and it's always the same problem. I am on latest Weta for SM G920F.
Yes I can confirm what you said. But I can't really know if they limited it or if it's the app itself that refuses to be compatible on 6.0

Developer said it was a firmware issue.

Hi! I'm the developer of ProShot. On camera startup, the app asks the hardware which resolutions are supported. I'm guessing Samsung accidentally left out the 16MP option, similar to how they left out flash when the S6 first launched (was later patched in Android 5.0.2).
I'm hopeful they will address this issue soon
External camera app without raw support like camera zoom fx don't have this limitation...
Still haven't received a reply, which is weird. Perhaps they actually bother to check into it for once?

The support has sent me an answer; however since my device is a Norwegian-registered phone, the support couldn't assist me because Norway didn't receive the Marshmallow yet - and therefore this problem didn't apply to me.
May anyone else send a mail or contact support?
To install the Google play store simply head to Apkmirror.com or Apkpure.com and download the store from there. After that you can install all your favorite apps from the Google play store it's as simple as that. One final note if you are in China you will need a VPN to be able to use Google services and the play store. Goodluck!

*Cyan strobe light for incoming call.
*Orange strobe for missed calls or app notifications in general(default) but you can customize the color for each app.
By the way if you are wondering yes the led notification and Aura Lighting both work at the same time when you have a notification so if your phone is turned back or is up front you will not miss your notifications.

I don't see any major changes, just a minor update. Regarding Volte i am not sure because I don't use the feature although i have the option to activate it.

yesterday when i was playing pubg suddenly my screen got auto touch issue. that means when i was touching on left side of the screen the person is moving right side to the screen
once i restarted the mobile everything went back to normal. i don't know if its a defective screen or software bug but i was really worried. have you faced any such kind of issues

Most likely it's just a software bug, anyway i haven't faced such issues because I don't play resource intensive games like PUBG so I can't tell.

if I'm not wrong in thinking, I believe it's down to the fact that WhatsApp records video in 9:16 aspect ratio on all phones as just standard. And then when you are viewing yourself, it's zooming in to fit your image onto a 9:20 screen. However, others should see it in 9:16.
I hope this makes sense and as far as I'm aware it's not a phone problem. It's just trying to fill your image onto the bigger screen but not wanting to stretch.
Best that I can offer is to fill the status bar as black to make the screen theoretically smaller.
I don't think it's any issue on Realme's side but WhatsApp use of needing to work on devices of all screens and sizes, if that makes sense.

I just found out I have the same problem. Strange enough I see myself good in the mini window inside whatsapp, but the other person sees only the lower right quarter of the image, like it was zoomed in.
the workaround solution is you have to temporary downgrade your whatsapp version to the older version, i cannot remember which version, but i fix my video call issue.
the only problem of the version is the group call has limited to 4 instead of more.

When you find the version number. Can you post it here as I prefer WhatsApp video calls compared to other services. Currently am using Instagram and it's annoying.

Yep, I prefer Google Duo too. Works fine, and Viber as well. WhatsApp just sucks.
