thanks but what is the new in this twrp version?
Just search offical changlog, its too much to post them here, remember this version is from early 2018 while the old version is from mid 2017.
The main change from my side its build from lineage sources instead of omni and use oreo recovery source.

aha.. many thanks..by the way iam ready to start testing omni rom rc2 after you make it for the dual sim
Oreo only!
Then ¿Is that version only for Oreo? I have 7.1.2 instaled... Could I use it? I did not understood something!
Thanks for your work.
No you can flash any rom you want, its just build from oreo sources to be up to date.
Tested by flashing lineage 14.1 and 15.1 and omnirom by kj.
Wow!
Thanks for your answer. I will try it as soon as i have a chance.
Regards.
At me at creation of a backup copy with enciphering - very often the progress of creation hangs.
And in the new version of TWRP, and older versions of TWRP.
If I do not use backup encryption, then there is no problem.
With encryption - hangs. And it's strange - with several attempts, all the same backup is obtained.
Overheat? Or sometimes some invalid encryption keys are generated? How else can you explain the instability of a backup?
Sometimes (rarely) from the first time successfully. And sometimes - only after 3-4 times successfully.
The size of the backup is about 5GB.
Thanks for reporting, i've never use encryption so did not know that.
Will see what i can do to fix it, as long you can use it without encryption.
Fantastic work
Thank you so much, this took me forever to achieve, Im not a developer, Followed all your steps below for My Sony M2 D2303 Xperia 5.1.1
I rooted it first using the eagle root tool.
I had real issues getting cmd to register twrp img, so I used another version i found online, TWRP 3.1.0-0 and after typing in the final command; fastboot flash recovery, I then just drag and dropped the image in to the cmd line and Boom!! powered off phone, then held together ( power + vol down) until TWRP boot logo appears, ran a back up and it worked a treat.
Thank you, for all your amazing work

Hi @sgspluss,
First of all, thank you for the TWRP recovery. I was able to successfully install it on my Xperia M2 Dual. I hope you will find time to update TWRP to latest version.
Second, I have a quick question, I was wondering why you guys are not using the FOTAKernel partition for the recovery? Is there any particular reason for it? Kindly let me know.
Thanks and regards,
Stryder

Well considering the current user base of M2, it seems highly unlikely! But in future I might change my mind!
boot revovery
i can't boot to recovery option on power menu
because my volume button destroyed
I tried to flash but no success:
fastboot flash recovery twrp-3.2.1-0-eagle.img
target didn't report max-download-size
sending 'recovery' (16278 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.522s]
writing 'recovery'...

What's the problem? Multi recovery is already on the phone (PhilZ and TWRP 2.x) but neither can flash img, only zip.

Then i tried to install again with unlocked BL then after installation reboot the phone. Then it stuck in SONY logo.

Hello,
To install Real ICS r6, you'll need to first install 4.1.B.0.587 Stock Rom for a successful update.
Install 4.1.B.0.587 Stock Rom, if you have done that already, then making sure you've the root permissions with ClockWork Mod recovery.
You can then go to ClockWork Mod recovery, follow the instructions from the XDA thread for the same.
Note: Before you start with these, you'll need to flash the recommended kernel.
Anyone of these
KRsH Kernel ICS
EXtended Stock Kernel
MESA Kernel
I have only tried EXtended Stock Kernel so far. That said, the Real ICS r6, is having minor bugs, I prefer r5.2 over r6. I have also not seen the blue spotted hexagon in r6.
Good Luck!

You've not unlocked the bootloader. There is something that you're missing to have done. It should work, if you've successfully unlocked the bootloader. I just tried HASA MIUI ROM, check it out. Its fantastic!

Is Unlocking the bootloder is necessary to load the ICSr6 in LWW.
How can i install the MESA Kernel via flash tool.
Is installing MESA Kernal necessary to run real ICSr6.
Hi Friends,
I successfully installed the Real ICSr6 in my LWW.
Below i am mentioning the steps to how to install Real ICSr6, i think it may be helpfull to somebody to install this.
First of all u should root your phone, Then install the CWM mode, then fastboot the kernel, and then install the Real ICS r6 from SDcard.
How to Root LWW or Xperia 2011 series mob's.
http://talk.sonymobile.com/thread/41119?start=0&tstart=0
For installing the Real ICSr6 u should unlock the bootloder. For unlocking the boot loder for Xperia 2011 series phone u should get the unlocking code from the sony mobile site ( http://unlockbootloader.sonymobile.com/ ) follow this link and get the unlocking bootloder code.
For unlocking the boot loder Download the "fastboot" drivers from here. Install them accordingly.
Turn off your phone. Wait for 30 seconds. Connect your phone to the PC while keeping the volume up key pressed. Your phone's LED will lit blue (indicating fastboot mode).
Head over to the location where you kept the previously unzipped fastboot folder. Right click while keeping pressed the SHIFT key on the folder and select "Open command prompt here"
Type fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce getvar version to ensure your have entered bootloader mode (you will get version on java example, 0.3)
Type fastboot.exe -i 0x0fce oem unlock 0xKEY (replace KEY with unlock code you got from Sony's website earlier)
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BOOTLODER IS UNLOCKED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
then disconnect the mob from ur PC.
FLASHING KERNAL
For Installing Real ICSr6 u should use the kernal MESA(recomended), KRsH Kernel ICS, EXtended Stock Kernel
for downloading u can visit http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1707876
After downloading this.
Open the flash tool that u earlier installed for rooting ur mobile.
Click on the lightning bolt sign and select "Fastboot mode" and click OK.
Switch off ur Mobile and press the Vol UP key and connect it ur computer. Now your phone is in fast boot mode.
Now Click on "select kernel to flash" in Flashtool.
Browse to the folder where you placed the *.img file and select it.
Flashtool will install the kernel into your phone. Disconnect your phone from the PC. Wait 30 seconds.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now successfully install the KERNEL !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Installing The Custom ROM (Real ICSr6)
First of all copy the Real ICSr6 file in ur phones SDcard.
Then Turn your phone on. When you see the Sony or Sony Ericsson logo on the screen, keep pressing the volume down key. It will take you to the CWM recovery mode, which was installed automatically with the kernel.
Use the volume up and down keys to navigate through menu items and the Home key for selecting.
Do a full wipe (format data, system, cache, Dalvik cache and battery cache).
Choose "install from SD card" and then select "choose zip file". Select the ROM file first (MiniCMSandwich Lite Final v4).
It will take you to the very much intuitive Aroma installer, which is very easy and much like installing an operating system on your PC.
After finishing the installation, your phone will reboot. While rebooting, enter the CWM Recovery again using the volume down key.
This time, do not wipe anything. Just select "install zip from SD card" and point to the wifi modules zip file. Similarly, install the Google Apps zip file.
Turn off your phone from the CWM Recovery menu.
Turn on your phone, first boot may take a long time, do not worry.
Now you should get a pure AOSP flavor in your Xperia device.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Enjoy the New ICSr6 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks to all developers XDA.
HIT THANKS IF I HELP U

Same problem with me. When i am trying to flash my phone it keeps prompting me to connect the device. In my case Sony logo appears and the green led is there when i flash. But during the flashmode process the phone turns itself on and gets stuck in the sony logo. And the flashtool promts to connect the device.

flash cm10 kernel. you get recovery inbuilt with that.
phone will be unbricked. now if you want to get stock, then..
download flashable zip of miro stock from android dev section, and flash it in recovery after wiping all.
but do not turn the phone on yet.
extract the boot.img from this stock zip and flash it in fastboot.
now you have got stock kernel and stock firmware installed.
done.
Please explain how to flash cm10 kernel

my xperia miro is bricked..and it has an unlocked bootloader..i am trying to flash its firmware. but it wont happen..phone is automatically turning itself on.please help
1. first let flashtool prepare the files and when it asks you to commect the phone then only hold vol- and plug usb.
2. if that does not work for you do what i just said. install cm10. since you have unlocked bl, you can flash cm10 without any problem.

Hi
I tried install XPERIENCE™ Tipo Beta 2 ROM but I forgot one step (format system). After installation i rebooted phone but stuck at black screen of course. So I pulled out battery and go to CWM again and I did everything, format data, system, cache, dalvik cache, battery stats and tried install ROM again. But CWM can't read from internal memory so i decided to reboot phone and go to CWM again but now I can't go to CWM and phone stuck at SONY logo. So I tried flash firmware by flashtool but of course there were error.
Installation process starts normal but after few steps phone disconected itself and tried to boot.

Hi everyone, I'm trying to install a CWM recovery on my Xperia J with locked BL. I'm in 11.2.A.0.31.
I followed these steps : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2333078
And I'm stuck at the step 6. On flashtool, I see this :

Like I said, I followed this tutorial (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2333078) and they ask to flash the recovery.tft file at step6.
And the flash does not complete. It stays so and my phone freezes until I disconnect it that aborts the flash but I waited 30 minutes before I disconnect it.
And my phone is not broken after this fail. I reboot it and it simply starts again without problem...

What do you mean, recover your phone? Enter in recover mode?
And what can I do with the update service? I already launch it but my phone already has the last update.

so are you telling me, your phone boot & working normally ? then you don't need re-flash 2nd ftf file ( "JB31.ftf" ) or SUS.
then try again with tutorial. ( flash tool not properly working with windows 8 )
I'm on windows 7.
And yes, my phone works totally fine. BUT I do want to boot into CWM ^^ and that doesn't work. I'm doing again and again this tutorial : install.bat works great but then I need to flash this recovery.tft because the CWM is not definitive as I understood. So I turn off my phone and connect it with vol- pressed, flash begins then stops... Weird.
I can unlock my bootloader but I would not want to. If nothings works, I'll do it...
Actually I identify the problem: flashtool do not recognize the recovery.ftf ! I tried to flashed the kernel ICS...
How can I solve this problem? It seems that a lot of people having this issue to : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=49167339&postcount=76 http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=49746942&postcount=81
And here the solution : I just had to remove the external sd card before flashing....
To any1 else having this problem, I would suggest unlocking bl cuz it opens up so much.
Hello everyone, hope you can help me :crying:
first of all, sorry for my english :silly:
few months ago i bought xperia z3 and when it was possible i made root, made backup of drm keys and with flashtool unlock and relock bootloader few times.... I have no problem.
last month i tried windows 10, and give me some problems, when i tried to go back to windows 8.1, i can´t, so i format my pc.
After reinstall all, i tried to unlock bootloader (with last version of flashtool. last time i can unlock , i used an outdated version) but i cant. Flashtools give me this error:

i tried with KK 2.93 , last version of Lollipop, with root, with no root, i tried with cmd too, but always same errors:
FAILED (remote: Command did not succeed)
or
Phone is already root
Service info shows me that i can unlock my bootloader, but i can't.
Flashtool give me only the option to unlock, so my phone is locked, i have recovery, and if i install a rom like CM or Glade, show me an error like: this rom is for c6603 and this devices is Leo. if i edit build_prop it shows me other error, but i cant flash any rom, so my z3 still lock.
if someone have any idea or know how to fix this....
thank you
What does it actually say in the service menu about your bootloader?
EDIT
Have you sorted out the file structure within flashtool to reflect the fact you are unlocking again?
The best bet will be to do it via fastboot without flashtool. Follow the instructions in the Sony website.
i try it via fastboot but i have an error:
FAILED <remote: Device is already rooted>
i try it with KK no rooted, KK rooted, and same with Lollipop.
About this:
Have you sorted out the file structure within flashtool to reflect the fact you are unlocking again?
I don't know how to do it, it's possible that could solve my problems...
Can you please tell me what it says about your bootloader in the service menu?
Read this to sort the folder structure out
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=51604352&postcount=22
it says:
Rooting status:
Bootloader unlock allowed: YES
Have you installed all your drivers in win8.1? Don't forget you need to boot in a special mode for unsigned drivers.
You can use http://www.howtogeek.com/167723/how...8.1-so-that-you-can-install-unsigned-drivers/ as a Howto.
When you've booted in that mode just start flashtool and choose install drivers from the menu (or go to the flashtool folder and start driver.exe)
