Eh? Not sure if you realise that's a custom rom based on b131, it's certainly not "stock"
On step 4, he is providing a link to download full stock version to update phone before installing his custom ROM, I downloaded the stock file, unzipped it and you get the three files to update with HuRupdater, running full stock 131 on my phone from that link. ??

You need to flash the unofficial TWRP https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p20-pro/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-0-t3779400
This version allows you to decrypt storage. From what I can see you have flashed official version that does not allow this.
Once you have flashed correct TWRP you then need to remove all security measures (password, fingerprint, face unlock) before booting into recovery. You should then see the folders appear normally.

This is only for the dual SIM variant of the P20 Pro. If needed I can get the single SIM update and post it. Feel free to message me with a request.

I'm not really sure how to help sorry, I'm having problems as well. The fastboot does close by itself if it's not connected to a computer, I know that much.

You need to find a coloros rom from 2015. The 2016 Coloros Roms have the bootloader locked

but when I try to install the 2015 one
it says 'Failed installation'
any ideas?

Hi all, I have an Oppo r7plusf international and flashed LineageOS successfully but WiFi wasn't working. Found a thread where someone mentioned to flash project spectrum ROM as a fix and tried that. However after flashing PS successfully and confirmed everything is working I then try to reboot into recovery mode only to find out twrp stopped working. Anyone had similar experience know a way to get twrp back so lineageOS can be flash?

I'm in the same situation... my phone is booting into Spectrum ROM V1.0 Beta... everything works, but now i can't boot into Fastboot and i can not boot into Recovery... so it seems i am stuck with the ROM and I too want to go to Lineage ROM.
Anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this?

Yes.
But there are some bugs,such as sim1 singnal always full, and some little issues.
Signal always full on SIM¹ because Openkirin didn't find the solution for accurate signal reading for now (they need to update tree device once they fix it).
That's why it is present in other ROMs

In my previous Huawei phone (P8lite 2016), It flashes all frimware versions available for C185 but with honor 8 lite, its not the same. I get an error on flashing C185B125 and C185B166 at 5% using dload method. However C185B166 partial flash using fastboot helped unbrick.

Yeah but I was expecting the way of updating to be the same, I thought any PRA-LA1C185XXX can be flashed successfully.
Isn't there any way to downgrade from C185B165 to any older version?

for me was converting from C432 to AL00 through oeminfo restored via twrp -> B212 (installed many times till fix test-keys and sim issue) -> update to b220 -> install Emui 8 through twrp.

I TRIED TO FOLLOW THE GUIDE BUT FIRST OF ALL OREO_TWRP IS NOT WORKING .WHEN I BOOT IN RECOVERY IT SAYS ERROR. SECCOUND I TRIED TO FLASH THE 3 ZIPS WITH OTHER RECOVERIES BUT I GET ERROR 7.

Does this method also need a SD Card? Cause the problem is that my SD Card slot isn't working at the moment so I was wondering if I can place these files on my internal storage and flash?

Well I saw "EMUI 8.0" so I thought that this was a different method.
