for me was converting from C432 to AL00 through oeminfo restored via twrp -> B212 (installed many times till fix test-keys and sim issue) -> update to b220 -> install Emui 8 through twrp.
what is this guide for????????????i had pra lx1 and rebranded .
I TRIED TO FOLLOW THE GUIDE BUT FIRST OF ALL OREO_TWRP IS NOT WORKING .WHEN I BOOT IN RECOVERY IT SAYS ERROR. SECCOUND I TRIED TO FLASH THE 3 ZIPS WITH OTHER RECOVERIES BUT I GET ERROR 7.

Really bad
Does this method also need a SD Card? Cause the problem is that my SD Card slot isn't working at the moment so I was wondering if I can place these files on my internal storage and flash?

as you know 2.17.401.2 updates for European versions released barely a week ago, RUU is also available in Collection thread..
i tried official TWRP 3.1.0-0 & unofficial 3.0.3-8 on clean stock European Nougat 2.17.401.2..
TWRP was booting but system was trapped in bootloop i.e. phone was booting again and again..
DID ANYONE SUCCESSFULLY FLASH TWRP ON 2.17.401.2 WITHOUT BOOTLOOPS??

Did you mount system read/write at all? That's what it sounds like to me. You may need to restore a stock system image or flash an RUU, although a factory reset might solve it too.

yes i allowed modification to system by TWRP. Should i keep system read only?
Factory reset did not solve the probem.. should i flash system image or boot image again after flashing TWRP ?
will it fix the problem, start my phone normally keeping TWRP?

Make sure /system is mounted read only until after you've flashed something (for example Magisk or Supersu) that removes dm-verity. If the reset didn't work you'll have to either flash the untouched system image backup or an RUU, no need to mess with the /boot image, and if you only flash the /system image backup it will keep TWRP.
[FIXED] TWRP 3.1.0-0 worked well on 2.17.401.2 :)
1. download TWRP 3.1.0-0 image file from official site.
You will find 2 versions for Hiae , american & European versions, please choose European version, download it.
2. flash twrp via fastboot, then boot into Twrp
3. choose system READ ONLY, dont allow modification by Twrp ( dont wory, twrp still can modify system if zip into system is flashed)
4. now boot into system.. But if you want to flash SuperSU then make a factory reset first then immediately flash latest supersu..

TWRP works perfectly on European versions 2.16.xxx.x & 2.17.xxx.x, you just need to remember couple of things..
1. download TWRP 3.1.0-0 European version from official site only.
2. Flash TWRP on a clean stock ROM or Do a factory reset first.
3. Dont allow TWRP to modify system when it asks for first time.
you can try again checking all things mentioned above.

Even i got problem after flashing TWRP on OTA updated stock ROM.
What i did is , i downloaded European 2.17.401.2 firmware and RUU.zip from Collection Thread, flashed firmware via Fastboot and flashed Zip using SD card method, then i followed above procedure of flahing TWRP.. all worked fine.. you should try this one..

If you are having issue with 2.17.xxx.x then you can try 2.16.xxx.x European
TWRP, SuperSu have no issue with this firmware..

I tried with 2.16.xx 2.16.xx can not be insulated
your device encrypted?
Try this:
1. flash and boot to latest official TWRP for A9
2. choose wipe and choose Format Data (it will wipe everything on Internal Memory)
3. type yes and confirm formating data, if you see red text error reboot to Download Mode, reboot to Bootloader and enter TWRP recovery again.
4. repeat step 2
5. wipe cache & dalvik cache
6. reboot to system
Prerequisites: root permission.
Before to start make a full backup of everything! I cannot warranty this method is working in every phone, actually tested only with the r9tm variant.
With the X9009 and r9 variant must be tested!!
Make attention!! This procedure can brick your device!!
Procedure:
1. Flash this TWRP with Rashr. http://www.mediafire.com/file/e76ptigzjcg4i07/UNOFFICIAL-TWRP-3.1.1_X9009.img
2. Reboot into recovery. (At the first boot the screen can remain black, to solve just press the power button 2 times, then in settings change the brightness different from 100%. )
3. Connect the usb cable and copy the marshmallow zip (R9 variant) http://www.oppo.com/au/supports/announcement/test
4. Copy this file to fix the systemui root warning http://www.mediafire.com/file/9nxmc64x4gm6xro/SystemUI_OppoF1Plus_X9009_LP_MM_TWRP.zip
5. Copy the latest Supersu zip installer (tested v82) http://www.supersu.com/download
6. Backup Nvram and Nvdata
7 Flash the marshmallow rom (Do not consider the final error about the wipe data)
8. make a full wipe data (advanced wipe: select data, cache and dalvik)
9. Flash the supersu
10. Flash SysteUI fix
11. Reboot (First boot will take 10 minutes)
12. If the IMEI is missing, reboot in recovery and restore the nvram and nvdata
13. Enjoy

Twrp is very good, root is perfect with modified systemui. But I have a nonsense problem that black screen after screen unlock. And I know that it is boot.img related issue. When i flash r9m mm boot.img it is working but no sim. And both r9tm and x9009 6.0 mm firmware, fingerprint is not working.
On 5.1 x9009 i have no issue all is working perfect.

Saying that downgrade your system, root your device than reupdate with this procedure, if you want root on marshmallow.
or flash unofficial TWRP3.1 recovery via flash tool , than finish Luxios's tutorial, this is the best way

I am using 27.05 firmware with root on my r9tm device. I have flashed Luxios's recovery via şp flash tool than installed latest supersu via twrp. Systemui trick didnt work fir me but no need to it on 27.05 firmware.

My X9009 was bricked (only virbrate when start) due to flash in a wrong way (Format and Download)
I sent it to warranty center and wait
They said "main error"
? nothing to say...
PS: i did that before trying to use modified DA bin. I will try after take it back

after putting superSU in sd card , kindly flash it
just incase, if device goes in to bootloops or softbricks
holding power+volumup for 15 seconds will make the device vibrate THRICE , and on second vibration. releasing fingers IMMEDIATELY will switchoff the device for you to connect in flashmode/fastboot mode to flash the roms/kernels again

just incase, if device goes in to bootloops or softbricks
holding power+volumup for 15 seconds will make the device vibrate THRICE , and on second vibration. releasing fingers IMMEDIATELY will switchoff the device for you to connect in flashmode/fastboot mode to flash the roms/kernels again

if you are installing phh superuser then
1. flash superuser-r259.zip from twrp
2. boot and install phh_superuser...apk
then reboot.
however i am personally using superSU. since on phh_superuser i was unable to give /system RW access

I don't understand this, if the kernel has the drm fix, is necessary downgrade the phone and backup the original drm? Or can I install this kernel, twrp and root directly the stock 7.1.1 version?
Download the S251 update package from this link.
Rename the file to update.zip and move it to the root of your SD card (not internal storage). Boot into stock recovery and update.
If you have TWRP, it will not work. If you have root or magisk, it will not work. You need to reflash the S244 boot and recovery images under fastboot using :

You can try that. If the update fails, you'll have to reflash the stock boot image as the update process might detect a modified boot image. Do you have the boot.img file for S244 ?

Hm, update built on the 7th of November but only contains the 1st of November security updates. Google released further updates on the 5th and 6th of November, with the 6th November update fixing the very serious WPA2 'Krack' issues.
At least this update fixes the blueborne stuff.

You only have one option. You need to re-install the full S244 ROM from this thread: https://forum.xda-developers.com/lenovo-p2/development/fastboot-files-stock-firmware-t3649914
Follow the steps but DO NOT FLASH USERDATA or you will lose all your existing apps and settings. This will restore your system to stock configuration then you should be able to update.
It worked for me doing this

Eh? Not sure if you realise that's a custom rom based on b131, it's certainly not "stock"
On step 4, he is providing a link to download full stock version to update phone before installing his custom ROM, I downloaded the stock file, unzipped it and you get the three files to update with HuRupdater, running full stock 131 on my phone from that link. ??

You need to flash the unofficial TWRP https://forum.xda-developers.com/huawei-p20-pro/development/recovery-twrp-3-2-1-0-t3779400
This version allows you to decrypt storage. From what I can see you have flashed official version that does not allow this.
Once you have flashed correct TWRP you then need to remove all security measures (password, fingerprint, face unlock) before booting into recovery. You should then see the folders appear normally.
