I found the Bullets Wireless to be quite expensive for me.. and I'm thinking of EP52... Has anyone tried it with The oneplus 6? What's the sound quality like ?

Just checked it, and it sounds really good. I'm not an audiophile, so I can't get into deeper details, but I'm loving it so far.
The phone has a headphone jack. Instead of spending money on wireless tech, get better quality sound.

I think I understand. You want quality sound plus wireless tech. $40 Meizus aren't probably gonna cut it. If you want wireless, this is probably as cheap as you can get. If you want quality, $150 wired is probably as cheap as you can get. Combine the two features, and you are looking for at least $200 or more.
I just treated myself to a set of hi-res Bluetooth earphones. £70 which is not cheap but they sound amazing & equal to more expensive wired solutions.

What earphones ?
Prostereo H2 earphones. Hi-res Bluetooth audio codecs are enabled in android 8.1 and these earphones will use the aptxHD and LDAC codecs which promise "better than cd" sound quality.
Ive tried them with some downloaded hi-res music files and they certainly sound great and as good as more expensive wired earphones but with the wireless convenience.

depends on your budget. Sub $100, you can also consider Klipsch S4 or Shure SE215.

I can't really compare between what's better, because I haven't used any of those 3 but I have a pair of Bose IE2s (seems to be about the same price range as the Shures) and a blue tooth pair of Jaybird BlueBuds X with TX-500 Comply Foam Tips. Both sound amazing. The IE2 doesn't have any mic or media controls though, but they do sell ones that do (MIE2). I recently wanted better sound and those are what I got. Those coupled with the ViPer4Android Audio Mod and adding the Tips to the BlueBuds I'm content. Best 2 pair of headphones I've ever had, but then again... I've never spent more than 20 bucks on earphones. I can't image how much better the $200+ headphones would sound, but then again I can't even image the sound getting any better than this.
Also the J33i's say apple 3-button remote, so check if they do work on android if that's something you want.
Special Note: On the ViPer4Android Mod. It works so good that I'm thinking of buying cheaper headphones, but not until my IE2s die, Because I'm cheap like that. I'd have never bought those if I hadn't listened to the pair my friend had. They make cheap headphones sound pretty damned good and good headphones sound great. Never thought much of the iphones earpods, but with the mod they sound quite nice, also had a pair of earphones that I listened to once and toss them in a drawer because they sucked, with the mod again sounded pretty good too. So if you guys haven't tried it, check it out. ViPER4Android Audio Effects, sorry not trying to hijack your thread, but I think it's possibly the best thing ever on my phone.

I can vouch for the Klipsch S4. I've had my pair for about a year and they are still perfect. The soundstage is superb. The instruments do not sound like they are right on top of each other. The bass and treble are a bit exaggerated but most people probably prefer it that way.

Thanks for looking! Why, when using the dongle, do my crappy $30 Sennheiser buds sound exponentially better than my $100 ones? makes no sense? The bass but just in general, it is night and day. The cheap ones are closer to the Usonic than the $100 ones. Any thoughts?

How can we give answer on this? First of all sound taste is different for everybody.
And a 100 dollar headphone says nothing about sound quality. Look at Beat headphones sounds like crap and costs a lot of money.
Just plug it in an other audio device and you should hear the same difference.
I found the Usonic way to bassy. While others like that.

I have used both of these on my HTC M9 for 2 years(ish) and the more expensive one sounded much better than the cheaper ones as you would expect, but for whatever reason, using the dongle, they don't. It sounds awful. The difference is huge. it is not subjective. I am baffled.

What it's lacking than?
Only thing i van think of is the impedance difference
C300 16 ohm
Momentum 18 ohm
I have the Momentum (also 18 ohm) over ear and it sounds decent. Not great... But OK.

Yeah, it is so tinny sounding, i am shocked. I will try again tonight on my M9 and see. but the cheap ones sound full and "fine" with the dongle, as expected I guess, where the "better" ones sound tinny, no bass at all. And I am not talking like Beats type bass, or even Usonic. Just nothing.....Oh well, thanks for the response, it will remain a mystery I guess!

The new setup on the U11 takes a small hit in audio volume when you are plugged in as opposed to the 10. In my car the U11 could stand to be a little bit louder (I may install a DAC to boost it) but in my truck which has a much more robust sound system, the U11 performs fine and I have plenty of volume to spare. So it all just depends on your specific audio sources, from headphones to home and auto. For me, the Usonic headphones are fine for on the go.

I agree, the audio is very good. For whatever reason, one of my "better" headphones won't play nicely with the U11 which is why i started this. The usonic and my cheap buds both sound great as does bluetooth through both my car and speakers.
I already have all the adb drivers of htc installed in my laptop
I would also be interested by this.
I tried them on Ubuntu and they were not recognized at all (Ubuntu didn't even see that a USB device was connected)
Juan from pocketnow tried all sorts of methods and nothing worked. Apparently they are proprietary and will only work on the U11 and U Ultra.

I tried and it didn't work. The adapter does work seeing it's a generic DAC.
Tbh you're not missing out on much, lower to mid range in ears easily blow these out the water, e.g. RHA 600i

Yeah, I can guess that the quality isn't really good without the Usonic equaliser.
The issue is more that I have to carry an extra headphone when I travel and watch a movie on my computer. Switching headphones is a lot less convenient and I don't care that much about audio quality in this case.

Unfortunately if I want Bluetooth headphones with the quality of usonic and noise cancelling it costs a lot.
Anyway, having the usonic headphones work on the computer would be useful for a lot of people. I will keep this thread updated if I learn anything new.

To be honest the noise cancelling on the USonics is kind of crap anyway lol and I think music sounds better with the noise cancelling off. You could just buy some soundmagic iems, those will sound better than the USonics regardless.

Ya, but that doesn't answer his question. Do you know what codecs they support? I also think Apt-X is superior and would love to get some. Had some $20.00 headphones from Amazon that had Apt-X but dogs ate them and cannot find a replacement for them.

Its just my opinion. Everyone's ears are different but I think it makes a big difference. Right now I have Galaxy Buds+, Jaybird Tarah, Jaybird Run XT. They sound good on this phone but I know Apt-X is even better.
I would love to hear what others say about Apt-X headphones. I search Amazon all the time but cannot find a decent cheap pair.
I got a pair of Sabbat's U12 Ultra's... they okay... good value for money and support apt-X. Also have a pair of Jabra Elites 65T's, also okay.
The sound quality from my Jaybird Bluebuds X is significantly better than the Sabbat's/Jabra's and that's a set from 2015!! Jaybird's are so good I'm considering a pair of the X4's...
Creative Outliers are also very highly rated....

Yeah I got my "OnePlus Buds" today, absolutely not impressed. Mediocre sound quality, my ears hurt after them being in for 20 minutes. Going to return. Need to do more research.
Also the Bullets 2 seem to have a hard neckband. Not really into that, I've had a few of those, and they slip off when you're working out hard/doing chores.
I got these and they're not bad. The sounds quality is decent and the mic quality is good for taking calls. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SJR6HL3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I ended up getting these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...&pf_rd_p=edaba0ee-c2fe-4124-9f5d-b31d6b1bfbee
While they are just Apt-X and not Apt-X HD, they sound incredible. Infact, I'd say they are on par with or better than my Samsung Galaxy Buds which cost around $150 typically. For $20, you absolutely cannot go wrong. The case is metal and feels of better quality than the case my Samsung's came with. The phone came up with a banner "Qualcomm Aptx" when I paired them. It's damn clean audio, the fit is amazing in my ear and comfortable. My wife tried them and loves them so much, she's ordered a pair for herself.

My only complaint with the $20 ones I got (and my wife even got a pair now) is that they are a bit heavy on the bass. I know many these days like that, but it's a little over the top. Still clear, you can hear all dialogue and it's got a nice range (high/low). Again, for $20 I find them nicer than my Samsung Galaxy Buds overall.

Are you rooted and do you use Viper at all? Absolutely amazing app for customizing your sound profiles! Never owned a pair of Ankers but they get good reviews and super competitively priced!
I'd jump on the promo but I'm based in South Africa so unlikely to ship to SA and if they do the cost to import and ship will most likely be triple the selling price. Not an option for me sadly...
I need to root...infact thanks for reminding me! Need to start with step 1.
Can anyone recommend reasonably priced wired USB C earphones?
I'll be using it for calls. Have a couple of Bluetooth ones, good for music but not so for calls.
Thanks.
I'm using TWS PRO 60, it's really cheap, easy to use and it's bluetooth ones.
You can use for listen to music, make a call but i am not really sure you will like the bass.
Details..

Sound type: TWS
Bluetooth version: 5

I think Moondrop still makes Shiroyuki (Snow White) and Nameless, both are buttons, cheap, and decent sounding too, you might have to look for them ... Tho. They're so damn cheap not a lot of resaler carriers them anymore.
I also make my own button earphones They're pretty easy to work with imo, a pair of shell, a pair of drivers and a cable (w mic if you want) and just a couple solder joints.
