I'm looking for Bluetooth true wireless earbuds or at least Bluetooth in-ear buds with a thin wire that support APT-X HD. I've seen a few of the latter on Amazon, but wanted to know if anyone on here had any personal suggestions and good results with any/with the OnePlus 8?

They don't specifically say they support Apt-X HD, but, they look promising and I like the idea of the earbuds from the same company that makes my phone. I've ordered them in white (only color available). Should get them in a few days.

Ya, but that doesn't answer his question. Do you know what codecs they support? I also think Apt-X is superior and would love to get some. Had some $20.00 headphones from Amazon that had Apt-X but dogs ate them and cannot find a replacement for them.

I didn't answered the question because I thought that Apt-X didn't make such a difference. But if you say it does I trust you, I've never tried myself so you know better.

Its just my opinion. Everyone's ears are different but I think it makes a big difference. Right now I have Galaxy Buds+, Jaybird Tarah, Jaybird Run XT. They sound good on this phone but I know Apt-X is even better.
I would love to hear what others say about Apt-X headphones. I search Amazon all the time but cannot find a decent cheap pair.
I got a pair of Sabbat's U12 Ultra's... they okay... good value for money and support apt-X. Also have a pair of Jabra Elites 65T's, also okay.
The sound quality from my Jaybird Bluebuds X is significantly better than the Sabbat's/Jabra's and that's a set from 2015!! Jaybird's are so good I'm considering a pair of the X4's...
Creative Outliers are also very highly rated....

Yeah I got my "OnePlus Buds" today, absolutely not impressed. Mediocre sound quality, my ears hurt after them being in for 20 minutes. Going to return. Need to do more research.
Also the Bullets 2 seem to have a hard neckband. Not really into that, I've had a few of those, and they slip off when you're working out hard/doing chores.
I got these and they're not bad. The sounds quality is decent and the mic quality is good for taking calls. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07SJR6HL3/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
I ended up getting these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B...&pf_rd_p=edaba0ee-c2fe-4124-9f5d-b31d6b1bfbee
While they are just Apt-X and not Apt-X HD, they sound incredible. Infact, I'd say they are on par with or better than my Samsung Galaxy Buds which cost around $150 typically. For $20, you absolutely cannot go wrong. The case is metal and feels of better quality than the case my Samsung's came with. The phone came up with a banner "Qualcomm Aptx" when I paired them. It's damn clean audio, the fit is amazing in my ear and comfortable. My wife tried them and loves them so much, she's ordered a pair for herself.

Do those have AptX or AptX-HD?
My only complaint with the $20 ones I got (and my wife even got a pair now) is that they are a bit heavy on the bass. I know many these days like that, but it's a little over the top. Still clear, you can hear all dialogue and it's got a nice range (high/low). Again, for $20 I find them nicer than my Samsung Galaxy Buds overall.

Neither I'm afraid...
Are you rooted and do you use Viper at all? Absolutely amazing app for customizing your sound profiles! Never owned a pair of Ankers but they get good reviews and super competitively priced!
I'd jump on the promo but I'm based in South Africa so unlikely to ship to SA and if they do the cost to import and ship will most likely be triple the selling price. Not an option for me sadly...
I need to root...infact thanks for reminding me! Need to start with step 1.

I can't really compare between what's better, because I haven't used any of those 3 but I have a pair of Bose IE2s (seems to be about the same price range as the Shures) and a blue tooth pair of Jaybird BlueBuds X with TX-500 Comply Foam Tips. Both sound amazing. The IE2 doesn't have any mic or media controls though, but they do sell ones that do (MIE2). I recently wanted better sound and those are what I got. Those coupled with the ViPer4Android Audio Mod and adding the Tips to the BlueBuds I'm content. Best 2 pair of headphones I've ever had, but then again... I've never spent more than 20 bucks on earphones. I can't image how much better the $200+ headphones would sound, but then again I can't even image the sound getting any better than this.
Also the J33i's say apple 3-button remote, so check if they do work on android if that's something you want.
Special Note: On the ViPer4Android Mod. It works so good that I'm thinking of buying cheaper headphones, but not until my IE2s die, Because I'm cheap like that. I'd have never bought those if I hadn't listened to the pair my friend had. They make cheap headphones sound pretty damned good and good headphones sound great. Never thought much of the iphones earpods, but with the mod they sound quite nice, also had a pair of earphones that I listened to once and toss them in a drawer because they sucked, with the mod again sounded pretty good too. So if you guys haven't tried it, check it out. ViPER4Android Audio Effects, sorry not trying to hijack your thread, but I think it's possibly the best thing ever on my phone.

I can vouch for the Klipsch S4. I've had my pair for about a year and they are still perfect. The soundstage is superb. The instruments do not sound like they are right on top of each other. The bass and treble are a bit exaggerated but most people probably prefer it that way.

Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk 2
If you like your headphones bassy and overpriced, go for the ibeats. But I doubt the controls will work as they're made for apple devices.
In general, I think you'll find much better options than either. First of all, though, you should think about what you want in your headphones and how much you're willing to spend. And then seek out a forum with lots of people who care about audio quality etc.
I personally am using the Superlux HD 381F. Build quality is not spectacular, but the sound is amazing considering they only cost 20€, so it's not that much of a loss if you break or lose them. Which I do way too often to actually buy more expensive ones.
I would go with neither.
Go with Senheiser or another know 'headphone' brand.
I myself use the Marley earbuds, they fit perfectly, the cord is not from plastic but from fabric, earbuds are from wood, and most of all have amazing sound.

Do a little search and you can come up with a few threads on various headphones. From cheapest, to what you have/recommend, in ear or over the ear, etc. It's here. I know because I commented on most of them lol.
My opinion of the Google headphones. They are good for just the casual listener. Dr. Dre are a bit overpriced for what they are, but I don't deny the popularity of them due to "style" and whatnot. What is your budget? What type of headphones are you looking into? These are some of the things to think of and do a little research on to come to your conclusion.
I just bought some Munitio NINES 9mm earbuds, because they looked interesting because they look like bullet casings lol. Well I read in some reviews that they sound great for the price. So I am testing them out.
So basically, if you want good in ears, go for the brands like Sennheiser or Shure products. Also Jays headphones are decent as well. I personally use the Sol Republic AMPS HD for my yardwork. They are light and tangle free. Over the ears are based on mostly on personal preference due to the head phone cup size, portability, and so forth.
Additionally, the type of music you listen to plays a factor as well. GL and happy shopping!

I have not tried the google headphones, ( i'm sure their average to decent like standard earphones) but I do own the ibeats by Dr.dre. I would not have bought them myself as I agree they are overpriced, but I received them as a birthday gift. The quality is very good, better than any other earphones I tried or had ( all <$20) and they have a lot of bass, which I really like. The build quality is really good too, better than all my usual cheap earphones ( but thats what you would expect at that price range) - the rubber for the wires and the metal earbuds are both good. I was happy with the sound but honestly I'm sure you could get just as good a pair in terms of sound quality for $50, like the name brands mentioned above. These are just priced for the branding and popularity and style points. I did get a lot of compliments for them since they are recognizable.
For the controls, only the center button worked for me. It does pause/play, or pick up/hang up a call. You can get apps to set the one button to do other things based on how many times you press it. The volume/track + - buttons did not work for me, I don't think android supports them yet.
So your choice, depends on your budget and what you want. They're good but expensive.. you might be better off with one of the well known audio company brands.

I use them with this: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.kober.headsetbutton
They're excellent for the money, and the plug is actually a 90 degree, though the pictures don't show it. They've got great bass, and you won't believe the quality for the price.
I recommend the Klipsch IMAGE S4 II's. Love the sound from them and they're not too expensive. If you're looking for cheap, the IMAGE S3 or original IMAGE S4's also do an excellent job. The versions that have an A at the end of them have a customizable button via an Android app made by Klipsch themselves.

Since my vz note 4 didn't come with earphones, can someone recommend me some decent earphones (in black if possible) that has compatible mic and vol controls? Also, does anyone know the model number of the earphones that came with the note 4 for other carriers? Thanks.

Without the silicone the Samsung OEM are a little bigger (in picture white is Samsung) but for me they fit much more comfortable then the Samsung. Oh and as with most earpieces it comes with 3 sizes of silicone earpieces small, medium and large. I am currently using the earphones that came with the gs3 and none of the different earpieces fit me properly. Every time I moved my head, they would fall out. I am using different adapters and was hoping they would fit on the MM30G. If there isn't that much of a size difference, I think they might work. Yeah, I was going to ask where you got it for 20 cause I can't find them for that price. Closest I can find is like almost $60usd. Appreciate the quick replies, man. If I can find them for around $30, I just might get them. I will still look for some different earphones til then.

Thanks, I'll look into them. If you took out the silicone pieces, are the parts where the audio come out the same dimensions as the oem Samsung earphones?
I'm coming from the gs3 earphones and heard the recent earphones are better so I thought I'd try them out. Thanks for your suggestions, but I am not looking for anything BT or over the ear type devices.

The build quality is better but the sound quality is not good. I started to use them first because they look ok and I was expecting them to be better but when I put on the backbeat fit for a workout I just understood how bad the sound is on the included earphones and how much of the music is lost. I am not an audiophile but I can notice obvious differences. And this is compared with bluetooth headphones which supposedly do not have as good sound as wired headphones.

Ohh...I guess I can ignore the newer OEM earphones then. I always wanted a wireless headset cause the cords always get caught on something. Only thing stopping me is that I just know I'll forget to charge them up. Do the bluetooth headphones eat a lot of the phone's battery?

Do you know if these headphones have different length wires for each ear? So you can put one of them behind your head. I recently got some popular Chinese ones that were recommended here. They sound great, but I really miss the behind the head wire feature.

I use mostly bluetooth headphones and I do not see it impacting the battery a lot but overall I am not so happy with the battery life of om Note 4 (910C model). Maybe because I have skype, lync, good and other stuff running all the time...
I also use the sennheiser mm30g... Only thing with them if you listening to music on full volume you need good quality audio, using Spotify definitely notice the difference between different audio bit rates... Also they have a great mic as I use it a lot and stock Samsung ones are junk imo for voice calls
I have these and love them.

Jay birds are one of my favorites
You could try the Etymotic MC2 and HF2 models, which are made to be compatible with controlling Android phones. They have them at Etymotic website but also on Amazon.
Will give you a heads up that while these are nice my experience is that, for heavy users who dont baby these things and keep them a bag and all that, they get beat up after a while - the cords fray. But the sound is pretty good.
The jaybird bluebuds x are hands down the best earbuds I have ever used. Absolutely love them.

Yeah, I just got them and really like them too. I bought them from Amazon but interestingly, this showed up on the Amazon site page for these in the last day or two:
------
Item Under Review
While this item is available from other marketplace sellers on this page, it is not currently offered by Amazon.com because customers have told us there may be something wrong with our inventory of the item, the way we are shipping it, or the way it's described here. (Thanks for the tip!)
We're working to fix the problem as quickly as possible.

Thanks for the late suggestions, but I ended up getting the sennheiser mm30g because that was suggested the most. I might look into the jaybirds in the future, but they are too expensive at the moment.
Hello guys can anyone suggest me what is the best quality earphones from this two for my S5 and are below earphones are original ???
or can anyone suggest me a good quality earbugs for $20 to $30

I've heard Skullcandy nought out a small high-end brand and basically took their technology and olincorporated it into their own lines. Now I don't know how true that is. But I can definitely say their quality has improved. Whether it's from buying out a high end company or investing in their own tech. Personally I'm a big fan of Monster. I have a pair of Turbine Pro Copper ear buds that sound incredible. I haven't heard a different pair of buds that sound better. To give you an idea if how much skullcandy has improved, a friend of mine gave me a pair of Beats Studio headphones that I've been using with an inline mic as my gaming headset until I get the one I really want (which ironically are about 25% of the cost of this Beats pair that we both ended up being very underwhelmed by). U apologize for rambling. But without hearing either, I'd buy the Skullcandy of the two. Also, do keep in mind, audio devices are very user specific. That's why there's many high-end brands and not one single "best". If possible, I would suggest buying both pairs from a shop with a decent return policy, have your own little head-to-head review and then return the loser. And lastly, don't undervalue the source either. There may be comparable/better options available now, but Viper4Android has made a significant improvement to my music quality. But you do need root if you don't have it. I look forward to see what you decide. Good luck

I want a very good earbug because normally in our country no one use headphones at the road
Anyways can u provide my a link to buy a good skullcandy
Because it is sooo hard to find the original ones with this chinees replicas
The offical website wont deliver it to our country
If u know a good place to buy please end me a link
Um a music fan
And i love to listen to music
thankyou again
To be honest, if the bid stays about the same on these:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/MONSTER-TUR...739?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item1a02b3ba33
I couldn't suggest a pair of earbuds more. Because not many people know about em, they end up selling for far less than they're worth. And the best part is, they have a no questions asked replacement warranty. You trash your $300 earbuds, they replace em no issue. And if you can grab em at $50, it's sooooo worth it. I'll do some more research on the skull candy buds. But those are the exact buds I own and I've never heard headphones that sound better. They have like 16 ear pieces to fit your ear perfectly. And I didn't know how important that was until I used em. If you're dead-set on skullcandy, I'll do more research on em. But if the bidding stays low on those Turbines, I can't suggest them enough. I absolutely love mine and got em for 50% off at $150 and don't regret a second of it. Though I will still check into the skullcandy for you in the meantime
well I spoke to my friend that has the Skullcandy over-ear headphones. They're called Skullcandy Crusher. They have incredible range and a bass boost knob that allows you to go about as bass heavy as you could possibly need. I believe he paid $80 for them. Which is a bit out of your price-range, but the audio quality is fantastic. Not as goog ss the Monster Turbine Pros that I suggested, which are earbuds. But still WELL worth the money. I will continue to look into their earbuds specifically, but those headphones are fantastic
You should take a look over the Sol Republic Track series. Those are good headphones and the headband is made of a flexible plastic that are virtually indestructible

Mi offers good quality iem very cheap, but you will have to find a trust worthy source, as there are many fakes on Ebay and from online sellers.
Try the amazon premium headphones.
I"m a fan of Apple's EarPods because they fit well in my ears. The amazon headphones are similar in shape and all of the buttons are completely compatible.

I've seen my boss at work always use these at work, looks like the ones on groupon just different brands. Seem pretty popular in terms of usage, so I'm guessing they work pretty well.
Ones boss uses:

So researching and most reviews are saying that the jaybird bluebuds x2 are the current best.
My dog ate my LG tone pro hbs 730 which are older but good.
Trying to figure out best ones to get. Want great sound and something great for running as well. I hear the x2 cover all that. Specially with the comply buds that come with it now.
The other was considering as the new lg infinim. Up to other suggestions as well.
Sent from my non-Mega loved v10 H901.
I'd like to get on ear or over ear, something small tho. The in ear tend to hurt me, on ear might if they are too tight.
I recommend the hbs-810 or second gen tone ultra. Half the footprint of the tone infinim with retractable earbuds. The x2 is my best sport headphone set but isn't ideal for office environments. That is where the tone shines.

Yeah I decided on the x2. Man do yet sound great with v4a and dolby atmos running. I don't really walk around or use them in an office environment. Mostly use to run and workout and when ride the bike.
Going to keep testing as I have 40 days to return

In that case the x2 is the best hands down as long as you get a good seal. I love their warranty and how low profile they are. Glad you found what you were looking for!

first one I found at amazon, $17.95: http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Bluetooth-Stereo-Headset-Microphone/dp/B002BH3I9U
second one is exactly the same price at amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Motorola-Univ...p/B00H0CV9TM/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top?ie=UTF8
I figured the last one had the same price. Groupon is great if you want to find a place that has deals on nails or hair or a spa. They've pretty much been selling schlock for years now in terms of merchandise.
Just my opinion, you may have another.

These are the ones I bought in 2013 from Amazon, the price has gone down since I bought them and I think there's newer version out there, but mine are amazing. There's another version where the buds retract into the headset, I still like the ones I have and still work great after 2 years:

Ive found expensive bt headphones dont sound much better, but perhaps last long fit btter look better or have more features.
My point wasnt to buy them on groupon or that they had any btter price, but more a comparision at sub $40-50 worth buying~
Ive seen some recomendations, features, look and talk about how it feels after wearing for a while. Once i can determine decent ones ill search for pricing.
