[ROM] Commotio B140 (hiaeuhl)

I didin't know about Commotio until I accidently came across it while searching for the latest Vanir ROM. For what I know, Commotio and Vanir share the same device tree and are much similar. Commotio however releases new functionality in it's ROM's that eventualy might endup in a Vanir ROM. (Anyone, correct me if I'm wrong).
So I got curious and tested Commotio's last build, B140 08202017 for the hiaeuhl. I must say, this is an excellent ROM if your bored with LinageOS. Stable, fast and comes with full OMS support for substratum. During the installation (flash by twrp) it installs the latest stable magisk version by default. I found out that the latest superSU+suhide is much more stable. So I removed magisk and rooted Commotio with SuperSU+suhide, SafetyNet doesn't stand a chance.

Latest SuperSU by Chainfire (flashable zip) here
Suhide 1.08 by Chainfire (flashable zip) here
Aroma SuperSUconfig 1.00 (flashable zip) here
OpenGApps here
Installation:
1. Clear data and dalvik/cache
2. Flash ROM
3. Flash GApps
4. Remove Magisk or keep it as it is and enjoy your ROM (remove Magisk Manager manually once booted into OS)
5. Flash SuperSUconfig. Choose to disable forced data encryption and install in systemless SBIN mode (important!)
6. Flash latest SuperSU
7. Flash latest suhide
8. Reboot
I want to remind you guys, you have to be on MM firmware with the latest TWRP recovery installed to get this to work.
Enjoy
Some screenshots can be found here
And oh, don't bother me with old threads about Commotio just to point out you remember what you've read two years ago. I'm just trying to keep the forum alive and maybe trigger custom developers to provide us with more ROM's.

first you have to downgrade your firmware to 1.5x or wait for developers to publish a ROM capable of working with 2.X firmware. I have feeling this is gonna take some time. Once set to the right firmware, flash the ROM as you usually do.

Someone know if in this rom with old firmware the hotspot working?
Hey I'm on the new firmware and I've been trying to follow your instructions here and am failing. I am able to follow you till flashing the magisk uninstaller. Then when I use the aroma installer to config su on the first page i select systemless bin mode(explicitly states for >=8.0) then i disable force encryption and click on next and complete config but when i flash the superuserSU.zip it installs the binary files in the /data/ directory and then the suhide fails to install. am I doing something wrong.?

How to install twrp and which twrp

I'm on open beta 4 pie. Want to flash twrp to update to stable from open beta. Currently on stock recovery
And then want to root to have high brightness mode magisk module.
Please Help me how to do?
I really hate just writing this but:
There are people that have written guides for all that you ask for. Please use the forum as intended, this questions have been asked alot of times, in your previous thread I also gave you answers if you don't like em say so there instead of making a new thread.
I'll do this one more time....
Fastboot blu_spark twrp 985v2. Img
While in twrp flash blu_spark twrp 985v2.zip
REBOOT to twrp
Flash the full rom.zip
Flash blu_spark twrp 985v2.zip again
REBOOT to twrp
Flash magisk 17.2
Reboot to system
This is the way I did it from beta 3 to stable..... Worked 100%
From 4 to stable should be the same way..

Oreo: TWRP + Magisk

Hi, finally my BLN-L21 have an Oreo rom (thank to @shashank1320 ), but i need a TWRP and a Magisk fully working on my phone... Supersu is accepted but i prefer Magisk
Link, link please!!! :highfive:
Thanks...
For TWRP use the one available in the elemental ROM thread. The only problem is that it doesn't mount internal so you will need an SD card to flash anything. This is because EMUI 8 is encrypted and TWRP doesn't have decryption support. For Magisk, use latest zip download from official thread. Also keep in mind that there is no sound mod available for stock EMUI 8 and that the command to flash TWRP is: fastboot flash recovery_ramdisk RECOVERY-V2.img (nameofimage.img)
Good Luck!!
No problem for sound mod, i only need magisk for root permission to use Adaway... No other app !!!
I'll try as you advised me, i hope everything goes well ...
Ok, work well! Now my 6x are rooted!

lazyflaher zip failed for DM verify error in MIUI10

When i install twrp latest version via adb, device not boot. So i google it; many xda forum & youtube channels said "lazy flasher need when using miui stock rom ". Then i try to flash via twrp. But file not flashed. After that for temporary solution i flash magisk its worked. So finally i need to know about lazyflasher (boot img patch) . Also some one suggest me Twrp V3.2.1 and orangefox recovery and redwolf unofficial recovery. Which method works correctly for stock rom with custom recovery (no root, no custom rom)

There is no backup of the original magisk boot image (update OS 11)

Guys I need some help .... I used patched version of magisk when I rooted, now I want to upgrade to the next version from OS 11.0.9.9 to OS 11.0.10.10, but I don't know how to create magisk backup image because I can't find it and I don't know in which folder to put the stock boot img to get magisk to detect it. I would appreciate some help, even if there is a link to some guides ... thanks
