Hi there, so my question is: Is there any way to disable Google's verification whenever I enter my Google account on any device?
For example I love to test and use various custom ROMs on my Redmi Note 4X but whenever I start fresh with one Google will ask me to verify if it's really me who wants to log in my account on that device. This is problematic since I use different ROM on a weekly basis sometimes daily if I **** up something and a clean flash of the ROM is needed. I can only access my Google account after a fresh install of a ROM if I ask for SMS verification. This will be plus expense at the end of the month. About 10-20 $ which is much in the country I live. Any suggestions? If I disable 2-step Verification will I be able to bypass verification this way or I'll even lose SMS verification to access my accout after a custom ROM flash?

Disabling 2 step should do what you need. It won't disable the need to sign in on your device, but it will remove the verification process.

Hi!
I got an Note 3 for a test but there was a Samsung account before it activated... I did not know the password for it, so id did wipe it within the recovery. but now when I start the device it still asks the Samsung account information.
Rooting option is not an option because it`s not my device, but just for the test. also I can not find the my locations software version ( SEB) for it, so I could try to flash it using Odin.
Any other options to get rid of the Samsung account verification option on setupwizard?

Sounds like the Reactivation Lock has been switched on. There is a guide on the forum somewhere, however it's not as simple as ABC.
Sounds like a challenge.. Thats good Thanks

In reality it was so simple...
For other guys that have the problem like me:
After the wipe via recovery turn on your phone.
In the first screen when you must choose the language, go in to the Accessibility options.
Go to Text To Speech Options and in the settings find the option to download other and Install Voice data.
Just choose to install any voice data.
At this point it will ask you to log in to the Samsung account. You can create new one or just log in with your existing one.
When the download has completed go back to the start and keep on setting up the device as always.
At this moment it will ask you to log in with the Samsung account anyway, but at this time log in with the same account with witch you logged in when you downloaded the Voice Data. Vuola! You are in.
Then go to Security Settings and uncheck the Reactivation Lock, to disable this option if you don't want that anymore.
Hi all!
I set up a Cyanogenmod Account and tried to locate my device.
However I don't get past the message:
Code:
Please wait while we attempt to locate your device.
After a while a second message pops up:
Code:
We are still attempting to establish a secure connection to your device. Your device may not have an active Internet connection, or may be powered off. You can continue to wait, or refresh the page to retry.
My device is switched on and registered with the network. Data, Wi-Fi and GPS are enabled.
I run CM-11-20140104-SNAPSHOT-M2-xt897 without GApps and Open Recovery 2.09. I tried various previous versions of CM, but with the same problem.
Any advice how to get device location running?
Why are you running without gapps?
Not sure if that is required or not for this to work. I've honestly never tried, I usually use Lookout / Plan B

I prefer a Google-free system and don't want to bloat my phone with apps that I don't need... well at least I thought I wouldn't need them.
Does anybody know if they are required for this to work?
Probably it wants to use the Google location service, which is (because of gapps) not installed.
I installed gapps and deleted all not used gapps... well, youtube doesn't work anymore, I have to look into it later

Nope, I flashed GApps and nothing changed
Just a guess, do you have a firewall installed? (AFWall+ or anything like that on the phone.)

No, I haven't.
Would be nice to know if it's working for anybody at all?!
I would've tested but I don't use it and I don't want to create an account.
I have exactly the same issue with the latest nightly on honami.
I also have no gapps installed.
But I remember, as I had gapps, I had the same behaviour.

Google play workaround For mate 30 pro EMUI10 in
Hello everyone Today i will be writing about Huawei's flagship Mate 30 pro
Let me quickly tell what all things you require:-
HISuite for desktop (latest)
HiSuite for android (latest)
Download Zip from the link below:-
https://bit.ly/2P54OoZ
Steps to follow :-
Install HiSuite on Laptop/Desktop.
Extract Zip in Any folder of your choice.
Search for HDB in settings and enable it.
Now connect your Mate 30 Pro to PC.
When your Device is connected to PC you will see:-
Options like Backup , Restore etc etc in bottom tab of HiSuite on your PC
Click on restore(2nd option)
on top tab you will find option to browse for backup directory
Go to directory where you extracted zip
Select that
Go inside you will find 2 folders
Google
Huawei
Go inside huawei
you will find a folder Huaweixxxxxxxxx(xxx=Some date )
select this folder
Now on HiSuite you will see 2 things
1)AppData 2)Settings (from backup file)
uncheck settings by clicking on it
click restore at bottom
this will install lz play app all in chinese lang
dont worry just allow all permissions and then when you see list of items in chinese
just click bottom blue button
now copy contents of google folder in zip to the phone (these are google apk)
install all apps
restart your phone
And done you are good to use google
Thanks
Your device does not support the backup or recovery feature
Thank you for sharing this fix, however, when I connect my device, I click on "Restore" and am met with the message "Your device does not support the backup or recovery feature".
I am using a Mate 30 Pro. Is there another way to get these files onto the device?
Many thanks,
Please tell your device model lio-l29?

I also faced this issue in starting but updating hisuite to latest version and factory reset device did the trick, don't use hisuite which is provided in package but use updated one, hope this solves your issue.
Thanks
Hi
Is mate 30 support this as wel
Hi,
You don't actually need to use the HiSuite and PC at all. Basically you can copy both folders to a usb stick, then connect USB stick to a phone and use restore backup from USB. All you have to restore from the backup is the com.lzplay.helper app. Then you can install all the apps from Google folder on the phone. Then go and give the Google apps all the permissions.
Now the tricky part. In order to make them system you have to give the lzplay app device administrator priviledges. You can go to flight mode, or even remove your SIM and delete all WiFi networks and then go to flight mode and then launch lzplay, give it device admin priviledges then restart the device. As soon as device restarts revoke device admin privs for lzplay and delete the app. Then enable data connection and you can use google apps now.
The only tricky part is that lzplay should be reverse engineered before to check if it is not dropping something else on your device when it is allowed device admin priviledges. Cutting off data just ensures that it will not download anything but if it drops something else then well I would be cautious with such device (well I am actually, just created a new google account for this device.).

Banking Apps?
Just a quick question.
Does this "Root" the phone or cause issues with using banking apps or any other app that needs a "Secure" phone??
I really want a Mate 30 Pro, but need all my banking apps and google pay to work.
Thanks

Google Pay works for contactless payments in stores?
I thought this is not possible due to Google not listing the phone model as "safe", regardless of the GMS setup method.

How did you manage to get Google pay to work?
- are you able to successfully add your credit/debit card into Google pay?
- Have you tried tapping your mate 30pro to make payment in retail store ?
I googled everywhere. Doesn't seem to have solution to use Google pay

I used the method I described in this thread-followed these exact steps and then since I was unable to update play services, I Transfered the latest version of Google play services app from my other phone and installed it which would replace old version of Google play services and from then on I can update and do all required things. Hope it helps

strange I tried two times to set up Google pay but both failed when I try to add credit card?!! How you can make it work!? I have international version mate 30 pro
I am unable to download some apps, especially banking apps due to CTS profile and basic integrity failing securitynet...also, my device (oneplus 6) is showing the Google play protect certificate is invalid (i have registered the device with Google but still same issue... can't download Netflix, etc.)
I have never rooted my device or installed Magisk (or any other rooting software) ... the max I had done was open the Developer Options (and hardly used any). I dont know how to go about this without having to do a hard factory reset... even then, I am not sure if the required apps will function on the phone.
Any help with this will be much appreciated. View attachment 5185887View attachment 5185889
