Samsung account after wipe within recovery - Galaxy Note 3 General

Hi!
I got an Note 3 for a test but there was a Samsung account before it activated... I did not know the password for it, so id did wipe it within the recovery. but now when I start the device it still asks the Samsung account information.
Rooting option is not an option because it`s not my device, but just for the test. also I can not find the my locations software version ( SEB) for it, so I could try to flash it using Odin.
Any other options to get rid of the Samsung account verification option on setupwizard?

Sounds like the Reactivation Lock has been switched on. There is a guide on the forum somewhere, however it's not as simple as ABC.

Sounds like a challenge.. Thats good Thanks

In reality it was so simple...
For other guys that have the problem like me:
After the wipe via recovery turn on your phone.
In the first screen when you must choose the language, go in to the Accessibility options.
Go to Text To Speech Options and in the settings find the option to download other and Install Voice data.
Just choose to install any voice data.
At this point it will ask you to log in to the Samsung account. You can create new one or just log in with your existing one.
When the download has completed go back to the start and keep on setting up the device as always.
At this moment it will ask you to log in with the Samsung account anyway, but at this time log in with the same account with witch you logged in when you downloaded the Voice Data. Vuola! You are in.
Then go to Security Settings and uncheck the Reactivation Lock, to disable this option if you don't want that anymore.

[Q] SuperSU Cannot change configuration

Hi, first post
I flashed my TMOBILE US [SGH-T999] SIII with root66 and all went well. verified with rootkeeper I'm indeed rooted. Problem is when I first configured superSU i checked hide from apps list (figured id still be able to get it in /system) So although it asks for permission and still fully functional I cannot open the app to change the configuration. There was some codes *#*#1234#*#* amongst others I thought would bring up the app, but because the sim is no longer registered to a network it just gives a network error.
This has been going on for a week and would really appreciate a solution. Going to google play doesn't show any options. just a picture. If i disable in manage apps i can then deactivate on google play, but it didn't help. Also re flashed rom and nothing changed.
Should be able to open the app somewhere on the phone right? use file explorer to delete some config file that will reset to default?

Hi, to open supersu through the dialpad, please enter the following:
*#*#1234#*#*
or
*#*#7873778#*#* which spells(*#*#SUPERSU#*#*)
If that didn't work, check if supersu is still installed by going to manage applications.

Yeah mentioned the codes in my post. my girlfriend has a deathgrip on the phone right now but i'm pretty sure the exact error was: Not registered on network. I also mentioned that superSU is indeed installed cause I can clear su's data, etc from the manage apps area. I use groove IP for phone calls and I've been putting the code in the phone settings not the groove voip app if that matters.
bumped after a few days of waiting patiently.
Hi i was having similar issues, did you try
*#234#* instead of *#*#234#*#* that worked for me before although my issue now is different.
i was getting an error and work around it by installing
System app remover (root) from play store
then went to apkmanger and click on reinstal Supersu, that bring back the icon
that did not solve my problem of the dialing code not working anymore, but it got me to super su app
hope it helps

[SOLVED] How to enable Google Now on Android 5.0 Lollipop Nexus 5

***PLEASE CHECK OUT UPDATE METHOD AT THE END!***
For those of you who cannot get Google now to work because you live in “Other countries", here's a fix that works for the Nexus 5 running the official Android 5.0 Lollipop released yesterday (Thursday 13th).
Here are the possible problems you ran into:
1. In Google Search's setting, you are unable to "flick on" Google Now with text "Google Now requires location services which are not available."
2. You signed out of the Google account, cleared Google Search app, uninstalled updates from Google Play Services, and signed in again. But after you click "Yes, I'm in" in you get a simple message saying "This account is not eligible for Google Now"
Be sure that your device's language is in English (United States)
Fix:
1. Download and install Market Unlocker (I am apparently a new member and not allowed to post links)
2. If your country blocks Google Play (eg. China), download SpeedVPN
3. If you are logged into Google: Settings-->Accounts-->Google-->*Click on your email*-->Three button on top right-->Remove Account
4. Go into Settings-->Apps -->Clear data for both Google Play Services and Google Search
5. Now open Market Unlocker --> Enable Unlocker (Default should be Verizon United States, if not, swipe right and choose that)
6. Turn of the phone.
7. Important: remove SIM card
8. Turn on the phone, connect to wifi, and open SpeedVPN -->Choose "United States"
9. Long press on homescreen -->Settings--> turn on Google Now
10. Log in and you should get your Google Now working.
11. Put back your SIM card
Hope it helps guys. Let me know if you run into any problems during this process.
UPDATE!
HERE'S A NEW METHOD THAT WORKS FOR LOLLIPOP ON NEXUS 5 as of February 1st 2015
This method has also been tested on Nexus 4 running Lollipop 5.0 as well. Here are the steps
1. Make sure you are rooted and have a working VPN
2. Download and install "location report enabler"
3. Run it and grant root access
4. Restart phone, turn on airplane mode with Wi-Fi on
5. Set VPN to country like America or England
6. Clear data for Google Launcher, Play services, Play store
7. Settings--> Location--> Google ----> enable location
8. Sign out of Google account
9. Back to home screen, use Google search to "remind me to buy milk"
10. Go through sign in steps
11. Back to home screen and swipe left. Voila!
Again if you have any questions please comment!

I also removed my Exchange account and disabled all device administrators
When it says account not eligible and goes back to google search just make it remind something (eg - remind me to sleep in 10 minutes) before doing anything else and it should automatically enable google now and take you to google now. Worked for me and hope this helps yall

Interestingly I didn't even get to try it out.
Google Now worked after following the steps mentioned by dollarside. However, it was probably the 5th I've tried.
Might be related to Market Unlocker that didn't seem to work at first. I used the guide from here (including proxy settings) and downloaded the latest version (3.5.1). After rebooting I made sure that the app actually said Market successfully changed (I had failed before after the reboot).
Another reason could be that I used Astrill VPN before (with different US servers). The last and successful attempt was with SpeedVPN.
In the end I cannot say what helped. Being persistent turned out to be successful. This time.
it's work for me in second try without rooting or using market unlocker.
on my nexus 4 from Iran
Perfect !:good:

Yay the new update (Google App 4.1.24.1672412.arm) works with the old trick I used.
The old trick if anyone needs it (Needs root) -
Install Titanium Backup. Install a File Manager and a Launcher. I used ES File Explorer and Nova Launcher.
Find and download com.google.android.googlequicksearchbox-2.6.7.721924.arm version of Google Search and copy it to your phone. (Won't post the link because it's not allowed. You can find it in Androidfilehost)
Open Titanium Backup and tap on "Backup/restore". Scroll down to Google Search and tap on it. Do a backup by tapping "Backup!!" (Just in case) Then tap on "Un-Install!" (Make sure you have a different launcher installed before doing this!!")
Restart your phone.
Open the file manager, navigate to the folder where you copied the Google Search 2.6.7.721924 apk and install it. Open it and it will ask to Opt in to Google Now. Tap on "Yes I'm in".
Download and install the latest update from APKMirror Google App 4.1.24.1672412.arm.
And you are done! Feel free to remove the other launcher and file manager.

Not working m using latest play services
!!! Important !!!
GOOGLE PATCHED THIS METHOD.IF YOU UPDATED GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES TO LATEST VERSION. YOU CANNOT DOWNGRADE IT USING .apk that i attached HERE!.
You need to have a bit older Google Play Services to disable FrpUpdateIntentService. Latest Google Play Services is not downgradeable anymore.
Latest Google Play Services Has Patched Frp Lock Disable by hiding "FrpUpdateIntentService" without disabling it, it's impossible to disable frp lock with google account. it's important to disable FrpUpdateIntentService for FRP Lock disable method to work.
USE AT OWN RISK, IF YOU HAVE CUSTOM KERNEL THEN IF GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES WILL UPDATE SOMEHOW THEN YOU WILL GET "Custom Binary Blocked by FRP Lock"
To avoid Custom Binary Blocked By FRP Lock when google play services updated
Then you have no choice. you need to live without google account added.
(1 Downgrade Google Play Services Method still exists. ask me in private for more info about that downgrade)
(Maybe it's still Downgradeable, but there is 61% it's not downgradeable using apk anymore)

FRP bypass
I have discovered a new bypass method that could be used on most android.
I spent 3 days searching and exploring to bypass a Google frp lock on a Alco pro12 tablet. Finally I was able to bypass it and get to system settings. There are a few complications as I had to switch to "guest user" or else it comes back asking for previous acco unt.
Steps are as follows:
1) tap "add network" on Wi-Fi selection screen.
2) type in anything and long press to access "share".
3) long press on Gmail to access app setting.
4) click "data usage" and tap "app settings".
5) click three dots in upper right hand corner and select "manage accounts" click "ok".
You will now be in the device settings menu to be able to do whatever you see fit.
I hope this helps someone as it did me. I DON'T condone theft or unlawfully accessing someone's device.
I gave my daughter a chance to be responsible and she failed. Luckily for her I finally figured this out and her $300 paperweight is now usable again.
Good luck to all!!!

2. flash twrp
3. flash your rom (if you dont want to use stock)
4. mount /system, use the file explorer to go into /system/priv-app
5. delete the setup folder (contains setup.apk of course)
6. reboot
its been literally 15 minutes so idk how permanent this is, but ive added my own google account and everything seems working and in order. htc u11 8.0.0 btw.

Some versions of the Android kernel are out of date and they allow you to do some trickery to get into the settings via the keyboard or a help link within the FRP itself.

Google verification issues

Hi all, I'm having an issue with setup wizard specifically the Google verification. It's telling me I need to sign in with an account previously used on the device (it's brand new) due to an apparent improper factory restore. I'm able to open apps using nova launcher but when I go to select default launcher it says setup wizard and I can't change it. I'm also unable to add a Google account. Any help is appreciated, thanks!
Doesn't sound new. Wipe it:
Settings > Backup & reset > Factory data reset
Box was sealed and everything, I tried restoring from settings but same thing. Also only the back button works home and menu don't, is there a root bypass or ROM in the works?
Did you ever login with another google account?
Try:
adb reboot bootloader
fastboot erase config

I assume I'd need to enable USB Debugging to use those, which I'm unable to. Would a stock rom flash or root fix my issues once either are released?
So I found a fix via vnrom (Test DPC) everything works now but I'm hoping there will be a fix for the notification bar and such. Just wanted to update you guys, thanks for the assistance

Would you be able to post a link to where you got the info or how to do what you did?

Checking for updates bypass but need to connect to a Google Account.

Hello,
I have a big problem with my samsung S8+. Indeed, i installed TWRP 3.2.3-2-dream2lte with Odin 3.12.3, it was OK. I decide to wipe data and flash zip "no-verity-opt-encrypt-3.1".
No i must to do the first steps of the installation of Android 8. I have the september 2018 patch.
First problem, i'm stuck with "Checking for updates"..
I try the cmd in TWRP Console 'echo "ro.setupwizard.mode=DISABLED" >> /system/build.prop' with System Mount but nothing...
I try to disable wifi but nothing..
When i remove the Sim Card and disable the WIFI, the step "checking for updates" is fast and i can do the nexts steps !!
Second problem, at the end of the setup of Android, I have a message which say that i must to connect a google account of the owner of the phone (ME) and the system put me on the "Checking for updates" screen... I read that it's a protection for factory reset..
So it's a loop, i must succeed the "checking for updates" but if i bypass the step, it asks to me to connect to a Google account (which is done in the "checking for updates"step...
I tried to restore data with samsung account but i have the same message.. I have a probleme because Samsung Europ don't guarantee my phone because it's an Asian model so "after sales service".
Can you helep me please? you're my last hope. Thank you.
Best regards,
Florian
You could try doing the FRP reset for the s8+ and see if it removes the FRP lock then you would bypass the sign in to the google account and could just hit skip, there is usually a skip option on the bottom left if there was no Google account logged in previously.
Also, copy your build.prop to your computer and look to see if you have ro.setupwizard as OPTIONAL and DISABLED, because your adding DISABLED to the EOL but in my build.prop it's already set to OPTIONAL don't know if that could create a conflict but mine always bypasses the setup when I changed optional to disabled
