Android Development Kit (ADK) is alternatively best solution for android reverse engineering
This Application allows you to easily modify android apps, android ROMs, boot or recovery images very easily with easy-to-use environment on Windows(x86 or x64) platform.
Users can easily decompile, recompile application and could edit almost everything inside it.
One of the best tools Dexpatcher is also a part of ADK for modifying Application at source level using JAVA.
There is also some pre-customized templates, scripts for Android Recovery Zip or ROM Development project.
Users can also add their own templates with the help of Snippets manager and share across users.
There is also a big resource of online documentation for ADK here which will help users to guide the process if they messed up in a trouble.
The Application is not limited to these, users can download and install some external plugins for ADK and also for personal use.
Users can also submit your own plugin. If your plugin finds more useful for our users can get free license for ADK.
Also, ADK is not completely free it has a trial period of 7 days after that you have to buy license (optional, otherwise you can continue with demo mode which has certain features disabled) which is very reasonable (details here)
ADK is still in development process, so there may be some bugs or glitches which may fail to run some task.
If you find such, provide a detail information and report it to me here.
Additionally, since I am 17yrs old and has a lot of pressure for studies so there might be delayed in sending updates (grief).
Keep in mind that ADK is highly inspired from Virtuous Ten Studio(One of the best IDE ever), APK Studio; so you may find many similarity in them.

One of the main reason for building ADK is to spread the art of reverse engineering among newbies. I am in this field not for quite long but I've seen lot of peoples who are interested in porting ROM, modifying app, creating recovery flashable zips but they don't know from where to start, because of this they keep asking devs and become a cat of annoying clowder (due to these, some new users quit this field). I've looked upon these issue and found many peoples use kitchen for stuffs and keep recommending newbies to use this. Since kitchen are the best solution for ROM development as It comprise of all common task (like adding root, busybox to ROM and stuffs) with a very easy accessible option.
Many users are not familiar with IDE, and find trouble using them. After research I came to know some of the famous kitchens of all time is dsixda kitchen, ASSAYYED Kitchen(currently the most used). These people find them more useful since all the task, scripts, templates, etc. are in front of them; can be access with single option selection (no need to go deepdown and look for the stuffs).
Henceforth, I decided to create such type of kitchen giving it GUI look with very easy to use and non-complicated interface. All scripts and options are very easy to access, no need to create multiple windows for running tasks. I find it useful personally, the application runs on almost all Windows. For Windows XP some GUI animation will failed to load, otherwise everything will work fine.

Got it... You must use 1.0.2.2 version. If this not works, an update will release tonight which will fix this issue
Edit: You said you cannot link your device, what that means? And on what project type you were working on?
Edit 2: Once you build your project, you use Android Device Manager to install or push apk to device https://androdevkit.wordpress.com/2018/07/02/device-manager/
Everthing is perfect but i mean my old tool can auto install and uninstall apk when i builded .. The apk will auto link to device and install on it .. Your tool don't have that funtion right ? or i don't know how to use If you can make your tool auto link and uninstall to device .. i will purchase for prenium :victory::victory:

This is a same feature like Android Studio
Amazing works , I will buy now Im waiting for a money at PayPal
I was working on Assayyed kitchen, too. ...but now time for NEW stuff .

Something pretty weird, can't say how that occur.
Here are some fixes that might help
1. Install latest dot net framework
2. Run compatibility shooter from right click > properties and choose 'run this program' for all listed operating system one by one. (Check which ones fit for you)
3. Debug the program and pass me the log generated from it.

Thanks to my good friend DooMLoRD for this breakthrough, Bin4ry & Androxyde for developing and maintaining FlashTool, the ability to drop from the desktop into Recovery on the X10 is now just a widget download away.
The original thread has since evolved and is worth looking at to understand the concepts, some history and challenges faced with thanks to all the XDA developers and forum members who have given help and time, in making this possible. This evolution, would not be at all possible without the DooMLoRD and his work and efforts and contributions for Xperia owners has made many owners very happy, the [Universal] for ALL ROMs / ALL Xperia Android devices with any Recovery is where it all began and now, the ever popular app by Koush application Rom Manager , available for the Sony Ericsson Xperia.

hi zoz33,
i dont know if MrHassel updated the sources after our discussions but basically we are trying to implement SED commands based on v3 (reboot_into_rec_univ_xperia_v3.zip) of add-on_installer.sh script from here... in java..
may be he will upload the latest files in a few hours...
Zoz33 sorry for delay response, Australian time zones.. Had to undo something yesterday, working at cross purposes on mount points and ended up with a buffer problem. Using Apache Commons isn't working nice due to fifo..
Stream EDit (sed) is much better way as DooMLoRD said. So I will be modifying and reissue sources now.

do I still need to edit the scripts before installing the widget?
or
just the widget only?
thanks.
great work guys
Nice.
What exactly do you want graphics-wise?
*when complete* provides alternative to scripts
@junixquiaoit good question. This app is not ready for release, it is still being developed. The reason I posted to the developer forum is that I have put this together based on DooMLoRD's scripts, with his assistance and guidance.
Mr Clown relocated rightly, as this is an APP but still in development and not ready for public testing just yet - this maybe causing some.. you have my apologies.
For now perhaps it is best to stick with scripts. When ready the widget / app could potentially replace scripts, although both will be maintained by DooMLoRD and myself.
I will continue to provide assistance and support for as long as I am able, life hopefully

Hi Aydee Great to hear from you, presently it has one single Transparent PNG, 72 x 72 px - created in Adobe Illustrator CS5, no filters or effects, attached at the top of this thread.
http://developer.android.com/guide/practices/ui_guidelines/widget_design.html
Ideally it should continue to have a 72x72px graphic, for the App drawer and a very small icon for the Widget selection panel and desktop.. HOWEVER what would be really nice imho is to have a few options, one as a spanning 4 column 2 row desktop widget, which can display important state of chargemon (modified / stock), recovery version (ie; xRecovery 0.3 / 0.2 etc..), root active, uptime or some system info..
Best Regards,
MH

P.S
ONLY for Developers!
you know what...
I guess a development thread (hosted with official open source hosting) isn't a development related?
As it turns out neither was the development of Zdzihu's kernel, that he released on April 1.
All I've done amounts to nothing. Just create an open source development project at SourceFoge, prepared a guide for zoz33 (with a lot of redundant java code, which is obviously just an APP or theme or something)... the fact you can't install it means nothing I guess.
@Mr Clown - as this is apparently no longer an active development and isn't any longer a part of the development thread. Why not just remove it altogether?
It's never going to get released when it's sitting in an App or Theme thread, without any input from developers.. so just delete this ok?
I'll do the same with my XDA account and everyone can just be happy.
Cheers.

@ALL
this work will be really helpful to the Xperia community as it is laying a foundation for anyone to use this platform to create his/her own apps... we are already sharing the code with the community @ http://xcharge.sf.net and would really appreciate many more devs to help out with various aspects of this project...
firstly i want to make a few things very clear... this is a purely development thread where-in all parts of the app have not yet been finalized and work is still goin on in its development...
all the files for this are openly available at SourceForge http://xcharge.sf.net
@MODERATORS
i request you to please move this thread to X10 Development Section so that the intended audience (developers & designers) can see it and help us out...
we need help from devs/designers to create graphics for this application/widget...
we need help from devs for improving on the programming parts and also on creating newer apps/widgets based on this...
we have a few ideas for additional apps/widgets based on this:
FreeXperia Recovery installer - currently it comes preinstalled on CM7 roms by jerpelea & also can be installed thru flashtool v0.2.8 and above, but doesnt have a installer like xrecovery had
Battery/Performance tweak toggle app - like the tweaks mentioned here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1005027
Custom kernel selection on reboot menu - now that the bootloader has been bypassed newer custom kernels will be released... wouldnt it be great to have an app to select which custom kernel u want to reboot into? we can have overclock/undervolt/etc kernels...
Multi-boot menu - slightly far fetched and will need help from the devs who create the ROMs
Having this in apps & themes, is like having a car frame, a few boxes of nuts & bolts, 4 wheels and a horn.. then saying "let's go for a drive!".
That is obviously how some people roll.. so anyway.. since mostly all thread's are getting hijacked, you're going to see less postings from me. If any - thanks to J.Anderson this place is like a ghost town and the moderator's have become annoyed so much, they don't want to see new development projects, just finnished results. Fair enough..
You can't install this. It is not an app. Where it belongs is a different forum, maybe even a different website.
For anyone interested in the current state. Finnish widget and will post back when tests complete.
Hi devs (schlund, devras, tzacapaca, anynymous devs & future devs)
Since Cardsharing deleted all the photon kernel repository on GIT website (thank you Cardsharing), we need to do it again.
I suggest we use Google Code:
http://code.google.com/p/support/wiki/GettingStarted
Google code has a project src hosting (for devs), a bug tracker (for devs and users), a wiki (for n00bs) and a download section.
The drawback is, all of you guys need a google ID to use it.
Otherwise we can continue with a new GIT repository, or use google SVN for that, or any other tool of your suggestion.
What do you think?
ok sorry i forgot, codiak already created this page for photon:
http://code.google.com/p/photon-android/
let's use this!

This release has been done by Schlund, using his new kitchen!
To my knowledge, it is similar to the previous latest release, but thanks to schlund's kitchen it takes less space.
Schlund's Kitchen is a tool for devs (many thanks Schlund, this tool is very powerful!)
It allows you to update and modify easily the files stored inside system.ext2, init.rd and kernel and generate those files for test & release.
Schlund also wrote a wiki here:
http://code.google.com/p/photon-android/wiki/GettingStartedWithTheKITCHEN
Regarding releases changes, don't worry, if there is any bug fixed this will be posted on the forum.
Till now, we're still working on 3G, little progress:
photon can now be "attached" to GPRS, next step is IP configuration.
be patient...
Thank you for your answer Robin.. & Thanks for schlund also.
No problem.. I will be patient
I just wanted to say if new packages, as I said: Please if something new we must know.. for helping or something else..
Anyway Thanks

Dear all,
I want help of you please
i am not developer i want to know only below points
1. we can port different devices rom to our device which having same chipset
2. we can port other devices rom to our e.g. samsung galaxy s4
3. if i want to make rom from scrap then any tutorial available
Please revert
i am not a developer
i want to develop something for my galaxy r becuase i dont want to loose it for some softwares
AFAIK
1. Yes
2. Yes if 1 holds. (correct me if i'm wrong)
3. this will help if you are certain to contribute towards development.
Hope it helps..!
1. Yes. The only one reasonable enough would be O2X. I tried it, but it didn't work. It uses really different nVidia libs.
2. Yes, just look at the XWLSD port. But you can't replace all libs because of the lack of NEON support. Also pay attention to the screen resolution. You will have a massive work with resizing if porting from the GS4.
3. There are many, just look into general Android dev forums, but most of them isn't applicable to the SGR.
(What Nikhil provided is a really great and huge article, hats off to the writer, but it's about application development and not porting.)

you need to use Linux Operating system for these things because it will be easy on Linux and then you can use the file which you will use in ODIN and extract system files from it using the link given above ..

1. Use these Guides.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1736177
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1742618
2. I am not sure how to do.
3 & 4 need to build your own Custom Kernel using the sources (if some thing goes wrong you will brick your device).
5. Just delete from System Folder.
I recently purchased a new TV running webOS 4.5. I can't root it but still native app development is possible.
Here's all tools and samples: https://github.com/webosbrew , and here's what is working so far:
1. Qt Quick 5.6.2
2. SDL 2.0.5
3. GStreamer (sound only)
And here's the game streaming app I've been porting:
I also started reverse engineering, and needs your help if you've rooted your TV before.
Could any one share your copy of root file system? Also, if possible, could you share the YouTube/Netflix application binary running on your TV? So I can find out how to make hardware video acceleration works.
You'll probably want to join the openlgtv discord. There's a tool on their github (epk2extract) which will extract a number of firmware files. I found a similar model to mine to extract.

Thank you. I've joined their server and indeed got some great help.
Kudos to @mariotaku , the development is amazing. I've installed version 0.6.1 and works like a charm!! Everybody should try this
Is the openlgtv discord still available? I can't find it..

Trying to reserve the first 20 so all others can be on page 2 and ect
I plan o editing all of this to provide full information on upgrades.
Sorry trying to insure the first 20 are relavent to the device and installing and ect....
I've got 9 more I wish xda offered a single page of directions and 2-ect would be others postings
After all edits this thread should be locked and then stickied? Onto the top of threads but right now allow me to edit this
Sorry to those looking for first page answers if anything goes wrong I'll try to improve the guides/downloads/ect?
So far I've been able to extract the system img and the image itself which is why I planned on make this to easy the development and improvements on roms instead of a monopoly of this device on two people.(especially when you doubt it will work as good as you expected)
I've gotten 5 more post to reserve. I hope everyone will understand and look at 2nd post for q/a and note through the first post (I'll give the best information I can help you start or finish off the project just need to to organize edit and (reserve) this first page sorry to xda but it will make things better for those trying to understand what to edit/modify)
Things that should be implemented on most/all devices
Easy to find resources on things I've linked or posted (none are mine)
2 more post one for the implimintation li. It's and ect (sorry trying to fill the first page before another post
Should be the last post on this page all q/a should be here or on other pages depending on my level of participation and understanding of the device so far.
