Otterbox Compatible Screen Protector? - OnePlus 6 Accessories

Hello,
I've been searching for a while for a combination of a case + screen protector.
I want to have a strong protection (becuse i drop my phone quite often) so i think the OtterBox case is a good direction, but the Official screen protector isn't compatible with it.
Should i go with the bumper case + the official tempered glass screen protector or go with the Otterbox case use a 3rd party screen protector?
can any of you recommand on a screen protector that will work with the otterbox case or on any different combination that you think will be good (and give heavy protection) for the One-plus 6
I've been quite surprised to not find any helpful information about this anywhere on the internet, if there is something helpful on the internet that i've missed please share the link.
thanks alot.

The Nillkin ones should be case-friendly cause it usually doesn't cover up the whole screen

I think it's not available for my country then. Look at screen shot, I am searching whole site from 2-3 days. I didn't thought of Amazon cause once I got fake cover.

Assuming you are trying to buy from India, you can find the otterbox case on the official site of Oneplus India.

Glass Screen Protector for 6,69$ shipped!

While I think it´s a great idea to have a tempered glass screen protector so we can have a nice protection against drops (I once broke my S3 screen in a pretty small and stupid fall) and scracthes I refuse to pay the 25 to 35 dollars the brands like spigen are asking for a mere screen protector.
So, suggested by another forum user, I ordered this screen protector, ther seller shipped it in the 21th so I should be getting it in a couple of weeks...

For that price, I must say you can't do any better.

For the price it is tempting... It's a throw away if it isn't any good.
Little strange though, when I went to the link, it popped up a dialog asking my language (English wasn't a choice) and a list of countries they ship to (US wasn't one). I know it's a Chinese company, the sites in English, and I think they ship to the US, but that's weird.
I bought similar protector from ebay, it was ~10$ from china. It has been awesome protector and after month of using it, zero scratches! Only cons I give from way too wide cutout on top and open cutout below the home button. Otherwise it's very good protector. And yeah the jelly buttons that it came with was rubish.

Thanks for your input
So there is no need to use the jelly buttons, the home button is easily accessible? Was is easy to apply? How thick was yours... 0,5mm? If you can please post the link for the deal or some photos.

Actually there is no use for jelly buttons because of that cutout at the bottom, but I will install one when I get my spigen case. It was super easy to apply, no bubbles. It claimed to be 0,4mm but I didnt measure the real thickness. The box said GTG meaning gold tempered glass.

I will add some photos tomorrow if I remember.
Thanks. it looks the same as my deal, from looking at the photos. Glad you liked it

The case is freaking great, the best I ever used regarding looks, protection and functionality although I believe spigen is reaping us of asking such a high price.

the price is so cheap that i bought quite afew.. installed wrongly = throw... lolz

Official Samsung Screen Protectors

I was just wondering if anybody has used Samsungs official screen protectors? Its £15 for 2 from their online store and it says its 92% transparent and anti reflective. I usually go with Steinheil from Spigen however it takes a while for them to release certain products (especially in the UK). If they arent very good can anyone recommend any good alternatives that dont reduce the quality of the screen?
When i had my Note 2 i put on a Spigen anti glare and it significantly reduced the screen quality so put an oleophobic one on instead and it was miles better. When i got my Note 3 i put an ultra crystal on it straight away. You pay a bit extra for the spigen ones but i would definitely say they are worth it however they havent released any for the tab s yet
Im one of those people who put a protector on straight out of the box so wont be able to compare the difference between having a protector on and not having one on but i still want it to look the best it possibly can

I have the iLLumishield. It's probably the best I have used including some that were over $30. It's crystal clear, can hardly tell it's on. Fingers slide across like the bare glass and goes on easy. See link.

[Q] Screen protector differences

I'm planning on buying the OPO with a screen protector along with it and the flip cover. I could see two screen protectors one being a normal one and one being premium, i don't see any differences in the site. Anyone here know? And which one should I get? Matte or anti-fingerprint? Thank you

Don't bother with either of the official OnePlus screen protectors, they're useless. You want a tempered glass screen protector, they actually offer some protection for your screen. I use the Nillkin 9H, it's outstanding. I've heard good things about the Rhino Shield one too.

Me too...
Couldn't be happier with the Nillkin. Put off installing it for a bit and went naked. Really can't tell too much of a difference when it's on, and it was way easier to install than the film type protectors.

HELP in the Cases/Skin Protection for Oneplus 6

Hi guys,
Usually, I don't like covering the phone with cases which hides the beauty of the phone and also cases seems bulky(not compact). But in the case of op6, since it is an all glass body, I am forced to buy some protection to the phone. Since this is the first time I am planning for protection, I am not aware completely to go for which type. Can you help me in this? Thanks in advance.
Should I go for skin(At least to avoid scratches)?
or full protection(as below suggested)? Again this also avoids only scratches but not the breaks. But I wanna try this because I also don't like bulky cases.
or Shall I go with Skin for backside and tempered glass protector on the front side?
or Is there any type of thinnest case for the phone? I am very much happy if one exists because it protects from the incidents like breakage or any sort of physical damage to the phone.
And in my search, I found one type of screen body protection from Gadgetshieldz.com which is compact and says protection. Have anyone bought this? How good it is? Link - https://www.gadgetshieldz.com/oneplus-6-screen-protectors-covers-cases.html
Another worry is even if this is good and I bought this, I am thinking I cant apply it cleanly. as I did not anytime before.

Does the silicone case that was provided with the phone go well with the official tempered screen protector that has to be purchased separately? I bought one, but haven't applied it yet, because I like the silicone case and was wondering if they fit on the phone at the same time. I wouldn't like to have the silicone case rub on the tempered glass and lifting it up prematurely.

Arriving later today, I'll let you know
Got the matte black skin from dbrand - just a basic one to cover the back of the phone. Hate cases as they add immense bulk, even slim cases. Easy peasy to apply the skin on the back, but I guess it has to be as you only get one skin now. When I applied dbrand skins to previous phones, they always shipped two skins if you mess up the 1st time. Guess dbrand are going on the cheap now...

For anyone looking for the same case above in the US
https://www.amazon.com/OnePlus-Colo...27715681&sr=1-11&keywords=oneplus+6+case&th=1
Seems to be the most minimal ive found, still with some protection over a wrap. (I just cant do only a wrap with an all glass design) Only "flaw" with that case from reading the comments is that the case doesn't have any lip above the screen. Some would say that not a flaw .. I like minimal but with a little protruding on the face to help protect the screen edges. To each their own though.

Accessories Otterbox Defender Pro Case and Screen Protector Compatibility

I am looking for a compatible screen protector for my Otterbox Defender Pro case. I currently have a Zagg screen protector on my phone and I can not use this case with it because it lifts the edges. I really like the case and know Whitestone Dome will work but I do not want to go the loca and uv curing route. If anyone is using this case with a cheap tpu protector let me know. Otterbox has a Alpha Flex protector that is compatible with the case but I would like to find something less expensive.
I have a Spigen case and the Whitestone Dome.
Never used to cure a protector, but it was easy, just look a several Youtube video's.
I also used a can of compressed air to remove any dust.

Thanks but I said I do not want to use a loca based protector. I've seen the install videos and it's not anything I'm interested in doing for my own preferences. I'm looking for a TPU protector for the Otterbox Defender case, not Spigen or any others. I already have one sitting in my drawer. I do like the compressed air idea for the lint on the edges.

No biggie but thanks. I think I will just bite the bullet and order the Alpha Flex. It's about 2mm less wide than the one I have. I did retry the Otterbox with my Zagg last night and so far it hasn't lifted it again. I still want a backup for when it dose because the fit is so close to the sides and corner. I think they should have cut the case friendly ones a bit smaller.
Hi @Misterxtc, I hope you don't mind if I make a suggestion, in order to hopefully obtain better answers. Edit the thread title to be something like:
Looking for Non-LOCA Screen Protector compatible with Otterbox Defender Pro Case - read that as: definitely not Whitestone Dome

For what it's worth, Whitestone also makes a non-Dome Pixel 7/Pro screen protector, but my wife and I are using the Dome (with Otterbox Defender Pro) so I can't report on the other. They have a reputable warranty, even if you mess up an install, though.
Edit: Also, although your thread is technically a Question-type thread, I agree with you putting it in the Accessories category, as there are a billion new Question threads in this section every day. Okay, maybe only 20, but still.

The install tray is held together with rubber bands and dose not hold the phone well. Mine ended up popping out of the tray half through the install and ruined the protector so I returned it for a refund. For the price they could at least give you a good install method. The protector itself might be good but good luck getting it on properly.

I was also considering the Whitestone UV Gen but from a video I saw it seems to leave a visible horizontal line in the middle of the screen. Never thought finding a screen protector for a phone could be so hard, it looks like there are no good options.

Sadly not for this case but I have been using this one for a few months now with either my Tech 21 or Spigen Tough Armor cases. I gave up on Otterbox this round.
I got T-Mobile on mine it's so good
