Hello everyone. My s7 edge is on unlocked DBT and it is downloading 1268mb update so it is the Oreo update.
Just sharing the news with you guys.
Anyone else noticed the delay on the lockscreen? When I turn on my screen, there is a short delay before it shows me the clock and notifications. At first I just see the Wallpaper and nothing more. On Nougat there wasn't such a delay. The clock was instant there after turning on the screen.

Yes yes I noticed that. The clock and notifications are showing 1 - 2 sec after the wallpaper. Maybe it's just animation.

It's in developer settings and called "Animator-Dauerskala" in the german rom.
It's on 1x per default. I set it to 0,5x

Another issue I noticed today:
SideSync via USB cable doesn't work anymore.
I could not test it over wifi, so maybe SideSync doesn't work at all on oreo.
Did somebody test it?
Hello i've noticed that when i restart the phone always popup simCard manager. Its every time i restart the phone showing.
The SideSync USB is no longer working for me either. Did you ever get it working? SideSync via Wifi is not an option so I'm pretty much screwed.
no, for now I am using "vysor" instead. It works over usb connection

strange. So then you have to update it manually via Odin if you do not want to wait any longer.

Guys, I've been facing a clock problem for some time now, searched Google and the threads for a solution for some time now but no result is to be found.
My clock is always around 10 minutes late, i keep settings it to the correct time, a couple of minutes later, i look at the phone, and its ten minutes late again. I think its related to Sense 2.5, but i am not sure, anyone else facing this issue?
I flashed the phone with the Stock ROM before going to EnergyROMs (Lesson learned). Any ideas?

Not really, the whole clock on the upper right corner is also 10 minutes late ,in addition to the flip clock. As explained earlier, I keep fixing them, they show up correct then a while after, the time is again, wrong! Its making me go crazy.
Maybe you have on that option to sync with your Cellular network?

Hello everyone, after updating my at&t note edge to lollipop i have one issue and one concern...
The issue im having is that when i answer a call using the edge screen, im not able to put it on speaker mode nor on mute, how can i fix this?
And the concern i have is using the whatsapp app... for some reason i get a notification when my screen is on (when im using my phone), and i can dismiss it and everything... i looked into the whatsapp settings but notifications on the screen are all disabled. im thinking its a new setting on lollipop but cant find it. Can anybody tell me the fix?
EDIT: I also saw facebook messenger doing this

I had the same issue. Although after the update my husband can just tap the icons as usual, the update forces me to to press/hold it and slide up (to turn on) and down (to turn off)...DUMB, I know...but that's the way it goes. I hate it so much I bought a new note edge and have vowed not to turn on wifi to prevent the automatic-forced-down-your-throat-update to lollipoop---no typo; the update is POOP!

I updated via OTA to BGO8 2 days ago and since then the parallax effect isnt working anymore, my phone is 100% stock, i even tried to delete TouchWiz home data with no luck, anyone else has this problem?

After the 5.1.1 update the parallax effect is gone.The only thing i can see when i activate the option is just a little zoom of the wallpaper.Anyone knows how to fix this???
I confirm. Wallpaper Motion Effect is not working. It maybe a bug. Hmmm....

I have the same problem.
If you take it to Samsung service centre I know what they would say factory reset or odin flash didn't think I would miss it not working but I do . I hope one of these clever chaps from here has a fix soon

Toggle is gone and I'm ok with it. Had it disabled anyways with previous version.
I've still got the toggle. Longpress homescreen->wallpaper. there is the option.
Toggle is there but it's not working the effect.

Mine too. Updated today after baying the phone and the moving stoped. im thinging to try with hardreset .

They shifted the ability to auto stop apps.. it was under optimise battery but now it can be found in Smart Manager > RAM > swipe left.. There's a new tab..

I have the T-Mobile S8+ (SM-G955U). It is NOT rooted. I pre-ordered my device and got it early. I've had no real problems with the phone until this issue cropped up a week or so ago.
The rotate option in settings has completely disappeared. See attached. How can I get it back?

Have you tried a restart yet? That will fix a lot of little issues you might be having.

Also, have you disabled any packages with Package Disabler Pro or any other app?
Yep, tried the "soft reset" option: press and hold the “Power” and “Volume Down” buttons on the device for about 10 to 20 seconds. No change. I'm reluctant to do a Hard Reset (traveling) until I return home.
I had been using Package Disabler Pro with only a few things disabled. Figuring that it might have been the cause of the problem, I removed both the app and the engine. The the problem remains: no way to enable the rotation.
And you tried to go to the three for menu send change button order and see if it's on the bottom (disabled) and fresh it back to the top of it is?

I had this exact same issue with my old Note 5
Out of the box (In my case) my rotate icon was missing from Notification bar. I also had no root or any tweaks etc.
I spoke to Samsung rep and they told me to try some Samsung Galaxy fix from their app store. This app did not help (forgot the name)
If you Google this issue overall its a common issue
with Samsung's devices.
It was a big issue way back i think with S6 (not sure Google it)
I reflashed my stock Rom etc.. nothing helped.
Anyway what i did was, download an 3rd party
rotate widget app, from Play store and it worked 100%.
Rotate icon would show up in Notification bar..!
As soon as i uninstalled 3rd party app, icon dissappeared..! So i just kept the
3rd party rotate widget
Maybe to can try same ?
Bottom line,
this is an old Samsung bug that affects
only small percentage of their device.

Figured as such, but never hurts to verify the basics.
I remember their was an issue with some devices (S6 era) dropping quick toggles. Maybe try https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.xpe.app.quicksettings.manager
Not sure how much it costs, I bought it for my S6 a long time ago. It won't open on my S8 but maybe something similar can be found?

Glad you have fixed issue.!
For me it was a very annoying and frustrating
issue. If i switched off 3r party toggle.,
Icon would disappear etc.
So just keep widget out of sight
(dock draw) and forget about it.

One change I see is that I don't have Bluetooth activation problems anymore. While before this update my Bluetooth suddenly disconnected and couldn't be enabled unless doing a restart, it seems that now this doesn't happen. My Bluetooth stays enabled and it can be easily enabled disabled.

XZ1 and Pixel 2 phone apps are same.

In this update, you can go to app drawer from home screen with swipe up, and back in home screen from app drawer with swipe down. ?
Interesting, same version number came for the XZ1 anc XZ1c.
Is it actually the same software?

Nope. The difference between XZP and XZ1/C is display Flash, Treble and new Dialer.

hi, yes seems minor update and security fixes.
Does anyone know why whenever an app is installed it doesn't show in the home screen instantly, i always have to swipe it out?
plus also, i can't have more than one page of apps /folders showing at the homescreen
