Will stock rom rooted still have the same features - T-Mobile LG G5 Questions & Answers

Hey
So I just bought a lg h830 I've signed up to
Lg dev and will unlock the bootloader soon . i want to remove all the T
-mobile specific apps but keep my camera working and all the other issues that some of the custom roms are yet to fix.
Do I need to still flash 20a to root and will my phone still act the same after i unlock the bootloader and root ? Is there systemless root available so i can run my banking app still ?

[Q] Quick Question for Quick Answer

Hello folks,
What is the benefit of rooting a locked bootloader phone? If I am understanding it correctly, if my phone is locked that means I cannot install custom ROM/Kernel or is that assumption wrong? FYI - According to my research my phone bootloader cannot be unlocked (thanks ROGERS!...)
I want to know to determine if I should use the up-to-date firmware or downgrade my firmware and root it.
thanks!
Vicente
with root on locked bootloader phone, you can save drm keys to relock in a future in case you want.
If you only want to use some apps that need root (like Titanium, Greenify, SoftKeyz...) but want to stay in stock.
and you understands correctly, if you have a locked phone, you CAN'T flash custom rom or kernel (some phones have roms to locked bootloaders, but not this case....)
If you have locked bootloader you CAN use stock BASED custom roms. You can't use non stock based roms like cm12 etc. And also custom kernels can't be used like said before. Every rom should contain information if it's usable for locked bootloader or not in the OP
Backing up TA is not even useful for you since your bootloader can't be unlocked.
Root is used only for root apps like rootexplorer, titanium backup, xposed etc.

Is there a fix for android pay on rooted AT&T G4, or bootloader unlock?

Just rooted the h81010o. Ive got xposed and the root cloak method doesnt work nor disabling su. Im not gonna flash back to stock just for android pay i just like making everything work. And as far as the bootloader unlock. I seen that the only version capable is the h815 int.. can it only be unlocked by lg or can a dev. Find a way? Last thing, custom recovery. Can be done with tmobile variant but is there a way for the att h810 to have a custom recovery without the bootloader unlocked or is that necessary?

Activate before unlocking an rooting?

So I jus got my Moto g 3rd gen for virgin Mobile an I was wondering if I should activate the device while it's on stock 5.1.1 or wait till I root an unlock the bootloader an get a new rom on it. I figured doin it before I root would get me the latest prl an profile updates but didn't know if it'd break the data switching to a newer rom
Yes. You must be on the stock ROM in order to activate your phone initially. You may, however, still proceed with unlock and root

There is not and 99% chance there will never be a bootloader unlock. Root method no longer works in later versions of android. The bootloader does not need to be unlocked with a custom recovery.
I apologize for not diligently searching as I should, I came across this asking the same more or less as I was.... I have one sitting on lrx22g.g920vvru1a0c3 which if I read the root method correctly I can root... At that point you say that the boot loader doesn't need to be unlocked so I can ( mfastboot flash recover xxxx.IMG ) on a locked boot loader? Or use rashr ? And after which we can ROM it?... Could I then theme it as well? I am coming for Motorola's all I've ever had/used/touched ever.... Running stock do I need to deodex it to be able to theme it? Do we have firmware out there n a tool (like Moto's rsd lite/ house of moto) to flash it with? With unlimited data is there a mobile hotspot mod/hack use utilize the baked I hotspot app? Can I still pull system apps theme um zip um and flash up.... Not having the Sim card yet I can really play with it as I wish to ... I just powered it on and its asking for an update... So I figured it'd try to root it now as there's no unlock for it..... Thank you kindly for your time and information
OE2 is the latest firmware that is rootable. Once rooted, you can flash a custom recovery and load roms through that.
There is a rooted S6 available for sale on swappa right now, just so you know

auto root

hello i'm new with sony phones i want root xzp and don't see good way to do so..
i had lg g3 and i rooted it with kingroot someone try this method or sameway similar? and for don't get a break for root do i must unlock the bootloader or its only for install different recovery???
It's currently not possible to root without unlocking your bootloader, and if you do that, you'll lose various features (notably most camera modes). You'd be wise to wait.
